Cute little hotel in picturesque historic town. |Fantastic breakfast served by efficient friendly staff. |Smallish room but lovely little balcony overlooking the plaza. Amazingly comfortable bed. |Only complaint - noisy fridge and no hot water in basin. Some people may not like the toilet cubicle arrangements!

On our trip down from Santander to the Mediterranean we stayed in four hotels and this was probably the most attractive of them all.||Unfortunately appearances can be deceptive and although it is undoubtedly a lovely looking hotel with very helpful staff in a beautiful city the practicalities do not match the initial impression.||||To the disadvantages then. The hotel is almost impossible to find by car and the only parking facility is a public car park about 30 metres from the hotel. ||It is also one of the noisiest hotels we have ever stayed in...not because of inconsiderate guests, but because it seemed virtually every water pipe went through our room meaning that we were constantly woken by the noise from showers and toilet flushes etc.||The quilt seemed designed for mid winter in northern Scotland rather than Andalusia in mid September and the ‘en-suite’ facilities are amongst the most bizarre we have encountered...a hand wash basin in the bedroom...separate shower cubicle...and WC cubicle resembling a public loo complete with glass swing door! ||Breakfast...which is authentic and provided in a pleasant area is, inconveniently, not available prior to 9.00a.m...not great for those with a schedule to keep to...so all in all, a disappointment which is a pity because in many ways this hotel offers good value and has huge potential.

Location was perfect, there is a free public parking just in front ( Parking Santa Clara). Hotel is a beautiful old house , with an interior patio. Nicely decorated rooms, excellent ratio price/quality. Superb breakfast!! Highly recommended!! NO ELEVATOR.

The hotel is charming, the room was comfortable, spacious and spotless although the bathroom - especially the shower cubicle - was a bit too small.||Staff are very friendly and efficient, the breakfast is very good indeed. ||The location of the hotel is second-to-none, just a few steps away from the bustling Calle Real and walking distance from all the main historical attractions. ||The hotel itself doesn't have parking but it's right next to a free public car park. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a historic place with a nice patio inside serving as the lobby. clean and adequate but quite average room and services, at a very fair price. The amazing thing is the breakfast they serve (not a buffet) - a great variety of very good items, more then enough for twice the amount of people.

The hotel is superbly located for visiting, on foot, the historic plazas and monuments of Ubeda. The hotel itself is in a quaint old building with a beautiful central atrium. The staff are extremely friendly - breakfast is a real treat! Be aware that as an old building most of its bedrooms are different and some are better than others. Some have beautiful windows but others have internal windows only. If you are on the ground floor you may not wish to sleep with the window s open and the air conditioning units can be noisy. Subject to this caveat we had a lovely stay at Alvaro de Torres and enjoyed Ubeda immensely. Also if arriving by car put 'Plaza de Santa Clara' in the GPS as destination as that is the location of the public car park .

We had a lovely stay in this quaint hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. |The room was very clean and the perfect size for a couple with a 4 year old. The location was also great, just a minute walk and you are on the buzzing street full if cafes. We loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it!

Such a wonderful experience. Old property full of character. The girls who take care are so warm and caring. Couldn't get any better. Fantastic room. Wooden interiors. The breakfast was very good. Just steps away from the street with great restaurants. Overall Ubeda is a beautiful hidden gem. Also very close to main sight seeing places.
