Fantastic place to stay. The hosts made us feel like extended family - so warm, knowledgeable and accommodating. Perfect location to experience spas, casino and for us the Christmas Markets. We could not fault the Hotel Am Markt and will definitely stay there again if we come back to Baden-Baden

Staying at Hotel am Markt in Baden-Baden was nothing short of a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, it felt as if we had stepped into a fairytale. The hotel’s warm, cozy atmosphere and charming decor instantly made us feel at home, but it was the exceptional one-on-one service that truly made our experience unforgettable. The staff at Hotel am Markt go above and beyond to make you feel like part of their family. Every interaction was filled with genuine warmth and care, making our stay incredibly personal and special. Whether it was a friendly conversation at breakfast or a thoughtful recommendation for a local activity, the attention to detail and the heartfelt approach of the staff made our visit to Baden-Baden feel magical. The hotel’s location is ideal, nestled in the heart of this beautiful town, yet it offers a peaceful retreat where you can unwind and relax. Our room was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, adding to the fairytale ambiance that defines Hotel am Markt. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel am Markt to anyone looking for an extraordinary and enchanting stay in Baden-Baden. It’s a place where memories are made, and where the line between reality and fairytale truly blurs. We can’t wait to return!

This hotel is situated in a great location at the quiet tophill of Baden Baden. The peaceful surroundings make it an ideal spot for relaxation and escaping the hustle and bustle of the town. It takes only a minute walk to both of the thermal baths. And you can get your tickets from the front desk. The hotel is simple but offers clean rooms with lots of windows, which is a fundamental aspect for any stay. The staff at this hotel are kind and helpful, always ready to assist with any queries or needs. Their friendly demeanor significantly enhances the overall experience. The breakfast provided is simple and has room for improvement. Adding a couple more hot dishes would elevate the morning meal and provide more variety for guests. This hotel covers all the basic needs for a comfortable stay: clean rooms, helpful staff, and a serene location. With a few enhancements to the breakfast offerings, it could be an even better choice for visitors to Baden Baden.

This quaint hotel is literally a stone's throw from Friedrichsbad and Caracalla Therme and is conveniently situated for the shops and other attractions in Baden Baden. The hotel is run by the third generation in a family dedicated to looking after guests. The place is spotlessly clean, the beds are comfy, the water is hot - what more can you want? The hotel does not serve dinner but the breakfast is a well-presented variety of locally-sourced produce. The ladies who run the hotel are all delightful and willing to assist; they all speak multiple languages. The small but comfortable hotel lounge incorporates an honesty bar and an on-demand complimentary coffee machine. The Hotel am Mark thoughtfully loans towels for use in the famous spas. Overall, it offers excellent value-for-money and dependable quality - highly recommended.

We've found in our travels that what makes a hotel really special isn't the size of the rooms, the meals you're offered, or even the location, but it's the people you interact with. The Hotel Am Markt scores 5 stars for the wonderful family who runs it. Every person we were lucky enough to interact with was fun, friendly, helpful and kind (the little kids were darling). And, in this case, all of the other details were 5 star, too. It's a bit of a thrill ride to get up to the hotel (at one point, we were sure we were driving in a "pedestrian only" zone) but, once at the top of the hill, we were able to park (for a fee) right outside the hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable (with a bedroom and sitting area). At one point, the room got a bit hot, so we asked about a fan and one was delivered to our room immediately. Our room looked directly onto the church, but the bells stop ringing at 10:00 pm and we never had a problem sleeping. Breakfast was great, with homemade cakes that were baked daily. The only negative we can mention is that the hotel is definitely at the top end of town so you will always be making a rather stiff climb back from shops or restaurants. For us, the hike up the hill was definitely worth it and we would stay at the Am Markt again any time.

A very charming hotel which we knew of old - and we came back to find the rooms very nicely renovated. The location is unbeatable for the thermes and the Festspielhaus. We were very impressed by breakfast, both for the quality of the products and the fact that there are HEPA filters in the breakfast room - so necessary and so rare. We only stayed one night, but this would be a comfortable hotel for a longer stay. Next time I will remember to ask for a room with a view...

If you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of Baden-Baden with character and charme this the place to stay. Friendly, helpful and genuine run by a super nice and professional family with 5* national and international hospitality experience. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Yelp
I have been staying at Hotel Am Markt for every Baden Baden vacation for over 15 years and they still are the most charming, best location, friendly and comfortable. They are best in this class.

Yelp
We spent one night here, to explore Baden-Baden and to visit the spas. We only paid 65 euros for our double room with en suite WC (shower down a floor) plus spa tax (which you'll pay everywhere) plus 4 euros for parking (there is a free lot several blocks away, but it was worth four euros for the convenience) - it was a bargain for being so close to the spas and the sights. The room was small...a bit sparse, but super clean and having a toilet & sink en suite was really handy. One small flight of stairs to the elevator, then we could take the elevator to the next floor with the suitcase. Room 25 has a double bed without dual frames, so you can attempt to sleep next to your partner, at least. It faces the church...the bells actually didn't bother me. We were out and about until about 10, so we didn't hear them at night and I slept through them until we woke up. I liked being able to see the church, the street & the old palace out the window. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed earlier, I can see it being a problem. I loved the entire property - the little TV room on the ground floor, the computer room on the 2nd floor and the wonderful porch across from the church. It was a very delightful building. The staff were all friendly and went from German to English and back again with ease. Even at breakfast when they were busy, everyone was greeted in a friendly manner and no one waited very long for their coffee, chocolate or tea. At check out, we paid for our room & parking as well as purchased discounted tickets to Friedrichsbad (2 euros savings per ticket). We were able to keep our car in the parking while we went to the spa and toured the casino. If you want to stay somewhere for under $100 per night with breakfast and easy access to all of Baden-Baden's treasures...stay here!

Yelp
We spent 3 nights at the Hotel am Markt and loved every minute of it. The ladies who own and operate the place are very helpful and know how to take care of their guests. The breakfast is fresh, with a ton of options for every type of appetite. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel is centrally located, close to anything you need in Baden-Baden. And, being near Feidrichsbad Roman Irish bath was great. We will definitely stay here when we are in Baden-Baden again.

Yelp
The hotel was perfectly located outside the bustle of the centre, but only a 5 minute walk to get there, and even less to the baths. The room and bathroom were a good size and very clean, Incredibly helpful owners who were very nice and spoke excellent English. Some of the rooms don't have access to an elevator so ask if you need one. The breakfast was good and overall a great value for your money.
