Hotel am Sophienpark

We stayed at the Hotel am Sophienpark just before Christmas. Very conveniently located right around the corner from the famous Christmas Market. The hotel itself has a lot of charm and is well kept. The rooms were very clean and cozy and the beds very comfortable. The service at the front desk by Mrs. Moumin was exceptional. What a sweet person that has been! The breakfast buffet was amazing. Very fresh and lots to choose from. All in all it was a great stay and we will gladly book this hotel again next time we are in town.

Stephan on the night shift was very helpful. The hotel is very nice, breakfast is very good and hearty. The parking g was a bit tight but they found us a parking spot for our car. Stephan walked us out to the car early in the morning since it was parked outside of the parking garage. He went above and beyond. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are.cozy.

Stayed here for 3 days at the time of the Christmas market. The rooms were very large. Ours had 2 large windows and a Juliette balcony looking onto the attractive street below. Rooms were well furnished, and had every facility. We slept well in the comfortable bed, although the two halves did drift apart. The decor was slightly tired in places, but I suppose at some juncture, it has to be the time leading up to a re-decoration. The public areas in the hotel are very grand. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of options (I loved the ginger shot). The location of the hotel is excellent for transport and the historic buildings of Baden-Baden. There is a lovely vibe in the town. It was nice to have a friendly and efficient welcome and stay in the Sophienpark.|

A wonderful hotel overall. I booked the family room so the four of us traveling separately could get together but the hotel gardens proved to be a better spot. Our room was comfortable and quite large but the carpet definitely needs an update. The entire hotel has a cool 80s vibe and is very clean. I was told the hotel is undergoing renovations soon . As far as location, it can’t be beat. We easily walked to loads of nearby restaurants, shopping and the thermal baths. Breakfast was outstanding! Overall, a great stay. A special thanks to Patricia at the front desk- super welcoming. We loved the basket for visiting the spa, very handy.

The rooms are old but classic. The bed was not that comfortable, but the comforter and the pillows were bright white and cushy. The hotel itself it like a work of art, completely beautiful. The breakfast buffet was really good. The staff was always nice. They even serve the coffee in small pots directly to your table apart from all the other kinds of drinks on the buffet table. Many kinds of cheese, cold cut meat, they even had prosecco. Overall, I was really satisfied with our stay there.

The good: It was a nice location for exploring Baden Baden and Breakfast was great. Needs improvement: The rooms do not have AC. The google information for this hotel says air conditioning, but the description says no air conditioning. We asked for an extra fan, but they did not have extra fans. The staff at the front desk was not friendly, and seemed like we were an inconvenience.

Other than the occasional squeaking sound from the floor, everything was great. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very polite. Location and parking garages were nice and convenient to use, and the view from the room was just beautiful.

Beautiful hotel with an impressive staircase. Decent breakfast. However, the room was awful. Depressing furniture, low ceilings on the last floor uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, short and narrow covers. The drains in the bathrooms were blocked. Although we are a couple, the reception thought it was a good idea to give us separate beds without even asking what our preference was. Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend this hotel.
