It was a very nice hotel, very clean and easy to access from the motorway. The staff were very nice and helpful, easy self check in and a great variety of food for breakfast. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was the fact that we got charged for parking, which wasn't a nice surprise. The additional cost wasn't mentioned when we booked the room. I think that parking should be included in the cost of the room.

Superb, will use again and highly recommended. Very clean, great off street parking and friendliest staff you could imagine. Room was immaculate and quiet. For once, everything worked perfectly too. We had a nice 'house beer' in the bar too. Was very quiet when we stayed.||Town centre is a short walk (not for elderly or disabled though) and is a fabulous town centre to visit. Plenty of bars and restaurants in town and on the riverfront.

You might imagine yourself arriving in an hotel with 4 stars, and you might expect to ha some comforts. While indeed… - you have to take two flights of steep stairs (see pictures) to arrive to your room located at the 2nd floor without any lift present in the hotel for - your room looks the economy ones that you might find in the cheap hotels, with an open wardrobe without doors and with safe model from the 70s and even not working (see picture), and even without a frigobar - a bathroom not renewed and with a small bath tub (see pictures) that it’s so tight that it’s impossible to have your shower (first time in my life where to have the shower in the hotel I had to sit on the bath, instead of standing, and as a consequence at the end of the shower my shoulders instead of being relaxed , they were totally contracted) The best part of this hotel it’s the breakfast, but globally you cannot consider it a 4 stars hotel, but 2 stars maximum

We spent over half a year at one apartment at the hotel. We can't say enough thanks for making space for us during our home renovation. Indeed, this historic family-owned hotel made us feel welcome from the first moment we walked through the door until the last day of our stay. It was a home away from home. Kids loved the swimming pool and the kind-hearted personnel. Now they already miss this great hotel experience. We used to walk about 10min to the downtown area and had no worries to find the car a parking lot there. It is also very close to the german-french garten which offers a bunch of outdoor activities over the seasons. During the New Year's Eve we stood at the aisle window and got a fabulous view over the fireworks above the city. Thanks again for being such a gracious host!

Very disappointing visit. On our way from Switzerland to Belgium, sleeping over with the family. Rooms are very noisy, as if the walls are made out of cardboard. No warm water in the morning to top off a night without any sleep. Rooms are modern, but some renovations are due.

Yelp
If I compare this hotel to an airline, it's like Virgin America. You may find it fun and cute, or just bad taste. The common areas, like the lobby and the restaurants, are not funky at all; they are just new and clean. The guest rooms can be quite funky as I explain later. Service All the staff members are professional and attentive, particularly the people at the front desk. They have a restaurant on site. They also serve really good breakfast, many items to choose from. It is only 15 Euro. Location It's in a quiet neighborhood. It's only five minute walk from the Schlossplaz, and additional five minutes to the Markt. If you're visiting the University (Universität des Saarlandes), you may want to consider staying closer to the station instead. Guest Room I could have had a problem with the shower. It's made of glass and next to the bed. I was fine because I was alone. If you're assigned to that room and share it someone you do not know very well, it could be very awkward. You can see someone taking a shower from the bed. If fact, if you're in the room, you cannot NOT see it! ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful." Your feedback helps me improve my future reviews. If you love food or traveling, don't forget to follow me! Thank you and happy Yelping!

Yelp
After a month long stay, I can give an adequate and accurate review. First and foremost, the customer service received has been great. On arrival I was greeted and my room with AC booked quickly. After I got to my room is was clean and arranged like most hotels. Had a desk area with plenty of light. The flat screen tv adjacent the bed. Also, had 2 chairs in the room, both comfortable for hotel furniture. The room had free WiFi and a large window that could be opened. The AC was very capable of cooling the room. One thing I would have wished for would be a microwave because restaurants around the area can be expensive. My normal meals averaged around 16euro. Some more, some less. The room also had a cabinet that is about 1 1/2 meters tall, but split halfway. It would have been great if the fridge inside was the size of both halves. Guess I'm used to the American hotels. The storage space in the room is ok, but could be better. There were no drawers for folded cloths, only a closet for hang up items. The restaurant had very good meals. I visited for breakfast every morning. They have a big buffet assortment of meats, cheeses, and baked goods/breads. Also, the normal things like eggs and bacon. Dinner was also good, but only had it 3 times. Other nights I walked to the square, which is very close, and ate there. I would stay here again.

Yelp
This is anything BUT a design hotel. the art is dreadful (housewife basic painting level 1a) and the room furniture worse than those already shabby IBIS hotels.. definitely not to be recommended !! seems to be more for the travelling salesmen.even though the city is only a reasonable walk away.. Next time i definitely look for a real design or just a plain normal and cheap hotel !!

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel as we had a wedding to go to in the area. The area itself was perfect as it was within walking distance to downtown. It was great that the room had AC however it would make this loud strange sound spontaneously and would wake you up just as you were about to fall asleep. The room was very clean. However it did feel cramped, especially in the bathroom. The service was fine nothing to go crazy about but they were nice. All in all I would probably recommend this hotel especially for the price and the fact that it was very clean so I did feel comfortable staying there.
