Hotel Amaca

Very sweet hotel and a great value for the price. The rooms are cute, simple, and comfortable and the location is close to Zona Romantica but on a beautiful quiet street slightly away from all of the noise. The front desk staff were extremely kind and helpful. Would stay again.

If they’re going to be promoting their upstairs bar, they may want to hire a bartender who is nice and doesn’t give you a cold death stare…. no words, no movement, no smile… nothing but a dark stare! All when simply and nicely asking for a cerveza.

The reservation service (Guest Reservations via Expedia) for this hotel is a total ripoff! I made a reservation via the number on the website and was told that there would be a cancellation fee if I needed to cancel. I was misled about the amount, being told that of my $555 reservation, I would get a refund of $432. As it turned out, I needed to cancel within a few hours later that same day, having learned of a family emergency. When I called to cancel, I was informed that the cancellation fee was $432, NOT the refund amount. I was misled and cheated by this service, who refused to make any exception to this greedy policy! Beware ... these people are not to be trusted!

We usually stay at Airbnb's and this hotel reminded us why. We chose this location based on its proximity to an appointment. While the location is good and price affordable it is lacking in so many areas that make for a really unpleasant/uncomfortable stay. The rooms are dingy, staff unhelpful and rude, and a check in process that takes well over 30 minutes is just ridiculous. Definitely better options in the area, even for just one night!

Best hotel of our entire trip. Rooms were beautiful, staff was helpful. The rooftop bar and pool were incredible. Our bartender Memo made our stay even better than an already perfect experience. To top it off, your walk to the beach takes only a few minutes and the neighborhood is gorgeous.

This hotel was located perfectly walking distance to everything. A convenient store is located right around the corner & an amazing cafe. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. The view from the rooftop pool was amazing especially during sunset. The pool was on the cooler side, but was also kept super clean. Hotel cleaning staff were on top of things, every morning we were able to decide if we wanted our room refreshed and it would be completed within an hour of us hanging the cleaning sign up. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is wanting to experience the city life of Puerto Vallarta.

Staycation. We live here! Everything was great once we found ourselves around, cause we live in cinco! Cocos kitchen and Cafe bohemio were wonderful as always. Memo, the bartendrr at the pool was extrmemly knowledgable, charismatic and funny! Would go back in a heartbeat

Fabulous! My partner and I stayed here on our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and we are excited to return. We loved our balcony and the rooftop, which has a pool, a bar, nice decor, a gorgeous view of the ocean, and usually isn’t too busy. All of the staff we spoke with made us feel welcome. No notes!
