Very cute and affordable hotel about 10 min walks from Shinjuku station. The hotel decor is quite typical Japanese minimalist down well. The rooms are your average Japanese hotel albeit a bit small is well appointed and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and most speak English. Downstairs is the lounge where you can get welcome drink. The neighbor has all sorts of restaurants of all sorts. Definitely a keeper!

The hotel is very well located and well connected, making it easy to get around Shinjuku and the rest of Tokyo. The rooms are the typical size you’ll find across Japan – compact, but very nicely designed and comfortable. One detail I really appreciated is that while daily cleaning isn’t standard in Japan, the staff was very kind and accommodated my request for a room refresh when I asked. They also provide complimentary bottled water, which is perfect for the intense summer heat in Japan. Overall, a great stay with thoughtful touches!

Amanek Hotel Shinjuku is a new and very clean hotel, conveniently located near Shinjuku West Exit station – perfect if you’re planning to go shopping. The breakfast here is delicious and hygienic, and I especially loved that the hotel provides stylish water bottles for guests to refill anytime, which is a great touch. The hotel also has a laundry room and offers luggage storage before check-in. When we arrived early in the morning, the staff made an effort to find us a room so we could check in ahead of time – such thoughtful service! I truly appreciated it and will definitely stay here again on my next visit

Great hotel. Very clean. Rooms very well equiped. Pretty spacious for Tokyo. The service is perfect, including our strange requests. The neighbourhood is in parties area, but the hotel is quiet.

Clean, modern hotel in the middle of all the action of Kabukicho. We booked a Japanese king room which was a mistake on our part not realizing that the room was essentially a mattress on the floor with very little space to walk aside from the narrow hallway from the door. We are a couple in our sixty’s so rolling around on the floor and struggling to stand was problematic. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the bathroom. The shower had excellent pressure and the tub was great to have a relaxing bath at the end of a long day of sightseeing. The staff all speak English and were very helpful and kind. We ate breakfast buffet in the hotel a couple of times. The food was geared towards western tastes and there was a lot of variety. We would stay here again but next time we would opt for a regular twin room.

More Western in style and function than the hotel we used in Kyoto, but still a compact Japanese room. We did find that two of our bags slid under the bed for storage, while two did not. However the room was fully wheelchair accessible. We also had a fridge, kettle, coffee maker etc. ||The hotel had a very useful laundry room on the ground floor, as well as a restaurant (which we didn't try). Laundry area has several vending machines with some quite delicious fruity alcoholic drinks at bargain prices. ||This hotel is located in a party area, so lots of people outside in the streets at night. However we never really heard them or traffic when we were sleeping. The location is great for visiting bars, or for using as a base to go further afield. It's not far from Shinjuku station, from where you can get pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. The only caveat is the room size, but that's typical of Japan.

Great hotel and staff! Obviously if you book in Shinjuku-Kabukicho you know what to expect with the surrounding area but it’s great place. Keycard entry once nighttime hits so you feel at ease.

Well located, 10 minutes from Shinjuku Station. The furniture and decor look a bit cheap, and the room was dusty. There isn’t really a comfortable place to relax within the hotel. The bathroom is nice and spacious, but the bedroom is quite small. The breakfast area is in the basement and has a slight unpleasant smell. The breakfast itself is quite basic, with limited options, and the coffee, tea, and juices are from low-cost brands.
