Hotel Amar

I booked this hotel for my guests from 25th to 27th Feb 2025. Had a wonderful experience staying in Hotel Amar. Delicious food. Mr. Shivan Sharma is a wonderful person. Very helpful in nature. He upgraded the room for my guests. He also personally attended my guests. Thanks to him. I recommand Hotel Amar for the Agra trip.

I stayed with my family for 1 day during our Agra trip. The hotel is convienently located. We took 2 inter-connected rooms. The service was also good. This hotel has a parking but not within permises. The parking is about 1 minute far in some another plot/ permises but that is manageable. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant which was also good.

Overall it was a beautiful experience! Very good food, brewed beers, the swimming pool the breakfast, everything was fabulous! Worth all the time and the money we paid.. the staff is kind and prompt. The only slight dampner was that there was some renovation going on so there was sound in the background . And also when you book, prefer the 4th floor rooms over ground and others..those are newer and better.

One of the best places to stay at Agra. Quiet old & well maintained. Fresh brew beer 🍺 is one of the recent highlight & a good experience having it. Though foods are a bit costly but the room tariff is as per the standard.

A shame that the stay was not better in what promised to be an excellent hotel. WiFi is not hi speed as advertised, building work in the hotel including loud drilling and hammering continued at unsocial hours and into late evening despite many calls to reception and there was no hot water in the shower. Breakfast and staff in restaurant were good, beds comfortable - shame about unresponsive AC and noisy fan in rooms.

Cheaters and fraudsters at Hotel Amar, Agra. They charged me extra 4K on top of the booking amount at the time of checkout. Gave me a room whose key doesn’t work so i had to call reception to open the door using their master key. Guests keys doesn’t work but their master key always works (guess why?). I booked a room using Agoda for 4 guests. I got the booking confirmation only for 2 Adults. I immediately contacted hotel amar and agoda to confirm 4 guest or cancel as they written in their add that they offer 100% Cancellation as the payment was to be done at checkin only. They didn’t Cancel and kept wasting my time by pointing to each other. At the time of checkin they charged me 4k extra on top of 7.5k of booking amount for 2 nights by simply misguiding me. Avoid going to this hotel as there are many other better hotels in the same area for following reasons- 1. They’ll lie about cheap rate earlier but charge you more at the time of checkout 2. Guest room keys doesn’t work but their master keys work. 3. They mix veg and non-veg breakfast without any note. Be careful and be alert if you’re planning to stay in this hotel.
