Hotel Ambassador Playa I

Fantastic hotel with beautiful food. Very very clean in fact it was Spotless. Beds so comfy rooms are a bit of luxury. Plenty of sunbeds available. Very central location we had a room at the back so no pool view which actually turned out to be a lot better and would prefer that side next time. Bar downstairs is very cool. Absolutely loved this hotel definitely worth 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights leading up to Christmas. It’s the third hotel we have stayed in at Benidorm and selected it due the excellent reviews it has. ||It is located directly on the Strip so perfect should you wish to be in the middle of the nightlife. We would not have chose to stay here in the height of season but knew it would be far quieter this time of year which it was. ||The check in was quick and easy and our rooms were ready even though it was only late morning so a great start. ||The room itself was spotlessly clean, had lovely modern decor and the bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was again, spotless with a large walk in shower. However, for us the rooms are just too small ! Had we of been there for longer than 5 nights they would have become a bit claustrophobic! It’s only a personal opinion but we just prefer space ! It was the smallest hotel room we have ever stayed in !||The restaurant is absolutely huge but there is definitely nothing fancy about it ! We described it as more of a cafeteria really ! There is a huge buffet for breakfast and the evening meals but it is repetitive. The breakfast is lovely and cooked well but the evening meals are very poor. The Soups are watery and lack any substance, if you are happy with a Roast and Veg then you will be accommodated for, but anything else for example, the Chicken Curry, the Chilli con Carne, the Pasta Dishes resemble an “Old School Meal” completely tasteless and very poor quality. We resorted to eating out or just having a salad which actually were very nice but not what we go on holiday to eat. The desserts also lack any degree of flavour and are so disappointing, there isn’t even a decent choice of cheeses. ||There is no waiter / table service for your drinks, you have to queue at the restaurant bar and pay upfront in euros, there’s no charging to your room or contactless payments. Again personal opinion, but this wasn’t for us ! We like to savour and enjoy an evening meal whilst on holiday, this resembles being in the Department Store cafeteria of the good old days !!! ||The bar areas are very nice and the drinks are extremely reasonable. They have some really good acts on so should you wish to stay in the hotel for the evening, you can do so|and still have an enjoyable time.||Unfortunately, This hotel isn’t for us and we won’t be returning for the reasons given.

I stayed in the Ambassador playa 1 in July 2025 for a week. The positives are the hotel is spotless in and out .The rooms are clean and modern,the food is very good plenty of choice . The two pools are good the round one has the sun on it all day. Can't fault the entertainment at night some good acts some not so good. The air conditioning is good and quiet in the rooms. The staff are good helpful and cheerful. The negatives are you have to pay for a safety deposit box never heard of that before,they won't let you swap lunch for evening meal you have to pay 25 euros per person if you are half board all hotels let you swap even really posh ones,and if you don't start queuing about half seven eight o clock you will struggle to get one I think they should sort that out other than that good hotel .

Absolutely beautifully decorated and sparkling clean reception area great first impression, pools and terrace bars are lovely. We were in rooms 2812 to 2814 and they were all fantastic ( the showers are incredible I wanted to take this home with me. ) lovely clean and comfortable beds. Air con works great too. ||Food has a great mixture of offerings and tasted lovely. I did get a bit bored of pizza and chips included every night in the offerings but not so much that it was an issue.||Pool attendants in general were really fair and courteous. If you're not using the bed then they remove the towels fold them neatly piled on the stage area. However, there was one blonde male who was stalking everyone to take something away, he told us off for having a bottle of water when the bar was closed! He would give people 5 minutes not the hour that the others did before removing towels. He even removed a towel from someone who was using the pool! I think he needs to be spoken to about this.||A special mention to the food and beverage team made both mine and my husbands birthdays very special singing and bringing cake and fizz to our lovely decorated table.||Evening entertainment was great but when your in the middle of all the buzz your never short of places to go||We loved it so much we are coming back next year!

Lovely hotel…. Not for anyone who wants a quiet holiday…. Right in the middle of everything…. Gets very loud at times. Patio doors are good…. Reduces the sound a bit. |Shower is really good it’s so powerful! |I found the beds comfortable. |Breakfast was lovely… dinner a hit or a miss…. Had to pay for water at dinner as they switch the water dispensers off…definitely think 4 star hotel should provide water with your food. |Got a sunbed most days… never got an umbrella as people are queuing for them first thing in the morning and they dont have enough. |Would definitely recommend this hotel it’s very modern and clean.

I’ve just returned from 1 x week in the Ambassador 1, except for one minor issue, I can’t fault this place and highly recommend. The food is excellent, you can’t fault the breakfast and selection of what you can have, there is something there for everyone. The evening meals again are very good, great selection and all hot and very tasty, only one small fault with the evening meal, you can’t get tea or coffee, not even if you want to|Pay for it, the bar service only does beer, wine and soft drinks etc, I like a drink as well as the next man, but I honestly prefer tea or coffee with my meals. Even though it has this minor problem, I rate this hotel|110% all round, I recommend it that highly and am sure all will enjoy their stay here, try it and see

Ok, we are half board in this hotel - which I assumed ( like other hotels) breakfast and either lunch or dinner! Tonight we are going out with friends - tried to get lunch instead of dinner - told no flexibility! ||The interesting point here is- in the evening u are asked to leave your card on table. We have notice lots don’t. I would not be surprised if non residents dine in that restaurant in evenings. ||We are probably only out one evening of a week. Now had to pay for lunch as we. ||So far, already experienced an arrogant lady in reception , who queried a request. Our request arrived the next day. ||Overall, hotel is okish. Nothing fantastic. Been in much better with helpful staff for a lower cost. Rooms are very small. Food is alright - eatable not fantastic. Recommend their sister hotel who do although flexibility re meals. ||Loads of choice re hotels in Benidorm- hence I will stay elsewhere. Coming back in February- NOT staying in this hotel.

The hotel is well situated for the bars and is exceptionally clean. The food is lovely and plentiful - not great for vegetarians, but plenty of choice otherwise. The team in the restaurant, Montoya, Juanjo and Waka paticularly were amazing! My friend was 50 and they were so helpful! I recommend the hotel, particularly because of them.
