We chose this hotel because of the Earnest Hemingway association and there is a small museum in one of the rooms. |The hotel itself is located in a pedestrian area of the historic centre which meant it was very peaceful and well placed for exploring old Havana, but you do need to walk with your cases from the taxi drop off point.|The public spaces in the hotel are very elegant and there is a pianist playing daily although due to visitors in Cuba being down this year the bar was very quiet at night.|Breakfast is served on the roof terrace and the staff were very attentive with a good selection of fruit, cheese, meats and omlettes served. Also a lovely place for early evening drinks.|The room and bathroom was spacious with a faded elegance all set around an internal atrium open to the sky.|Havana is amazing and our stay at Ambos Mundos was very enjoyable

Service here is just like The Old Man would have received ! Mucho history and good vibes in this impotant piece of Habanero culture. The staff is attentive but not smothering. Mi daiquiris were amazing and took me back in time. I swear I saw The Old Man sitting at the bar !

I am still living here, because I booked for almost a month since I came at Havana for work, and is not refundable, I did a terrible mistake. The people here are behaving like controlling all the time what you do, they are very invasive and not discrete at all and ask me questions all the time. It is terrible. The rooms are old as well as the infrastructures and the services like the bathroom, the elevator, -which is vintage-, but very misfunctioning, and the breakfast which is not at a level for a four stars historic hotel. Unfortunately I booked in the hotel online and they try to avoid to refund me and let me go for my remaining days here. I strongly advise people to avoid this place, there are a lot better ones here at Havana.

Great place for daiquiris! We had lunch at the rooftop bar with live Cuban band. Food and views were great. And we were able to use our credit card here which was very handy!

Hotel Ambos Mundos is amazing and must see when visiting Havana. From the Roof Garden, on the top of the building offers the best views on the Old Havana.

We happened upon this place to grab a drink and use the washroom while on a walking tour. Later we had time to ourselves and my friend using the washroom said a guy near the hotel approached her about the rooftop bar with its own washroom. We jumped at it and rode the old school elevator up. It was a beautiful panoramic view of Havana! We tried two types of daquiri since Hemingway supposedly lived there for 7 years. Also tried the Pina Colada, drinks were great.||There were extravagant touches throughout with a piano playing in the lobby bar. Marble and tile floors with mosaics. A marble staircase with art in each stairwell.||Apparently they also made Hemingway’s room into a museum.||Lovely place. Very glad we encountered the promoter.
