in the quiet area of prague not far from wenclasas square and 30 min walk to old town. there is a mexican bar round the corner which i recommend for drinks. service is amazing especially the doorman showed us to our rooms and was really helpful. ownly downside is having to pay a deposit for the mini bar and tourist tax but is to be expected in most hotels in any country now. don’t let the reviews put you off i was worried about them. we got private transfers they arrived early and got us to the airport perfectly. we also got bed and breakfast it could be a lot better but you can’t please everyone. was a great price. we stayed in november which was perfect as it’s close to wenclasas square where the markets are. it’s also not far from the national museum which i recommend to go works out around £10.

Apart from one lady member of staff. She worked front of house and in the breakfast room. Awful moody unhappy member of staff. ||The gentleman brought out stuff to our room. Explaining everything. The room quirky. Long and thin but spotless. ||Breakfast was very European. But something to eat every morning. ||Would stay again. Handy for transport links. Not central but within easy reach.

My stay at the Amethyst Hotel in Prague 2 was a truly pleasant experience. The arrival went smoothly and the staff on site were very polite and helpful. Especially the doorman (the gentleman who welcomed me and assisted with parking) was extremely friendly and pointed out important details about the parking situation several times – probably saving me from getting a fine. A genuinely helpful and kind person. The check-in process was quick and efficient. The staff clearly know what they’re doing – very professional and well-organized. One thing that isn’t mentioned online is the deposit for the minibar. You’re asked to leave a deposit upfront, which will of course be settled at check-out. While this is completely understandable, it would be better if this information were available online so that guests aren’t surprised on arrival. Beyond that, the staff were very supportive and even went out of their way to show me nearby currency exchange locations, which I really appreciated. The room was nicely furnished – definitely fair for the price. One unique feature is the option to choose between a smoking or non-smoking room, which is quite rare these days. The lobby area is tidy and welcoming, and the location of the hotel is fantastic – with quick and easy access to the tram, making it simple to get around the city. Breakfast is included in the room rate. It’s a standard hotel breakfast – nothing too fancy, but it’s absolutely sufficient and satisfying. It runs from 7 to 10 AM and there were no long waits, which was great. What really stood out to me was the hospitality. Every time I returned to the hotel, I was greeted with a smile, and that made me feel genuinely welcome. The team is truly what makes this hotel work. I’d gladly stay here again. Thank you to the staff for the warm hospitality and a wonderful stay.

Arrived late at night, room was tiny, long and thin but I quite liked it as it was quirky, although we were moved to a standard room the next day as there was a problem with the lock. |Spotlessly clean, plenty of hot water. |Staff were lovely. Maybe a slight issue with language barrier but very helpful. When they knew it was my husband’s birthday they left half a bottle of champagne with a note to apologise for the inconvenience of having to move. |Food was fine, no full English but typical standard buffet breakfast with some hot and lots of cold options. |Thoroughly enjoyed our time here and loved Prague. I would go back

Hotel: 8/10||A clean and tidy hotel overall. The rooms were very dated. My bed was always made, and everything was sorted out daily. However, my bathroom had significant condensation, which made everything damp. During my 4-night stay, two of the mornings I couldn’t get hot water.||I booked a single room, and while I understand it's for one person, the room was incredibly small. When I opened my suitcase to lay it flat, there was no floor space left! Additionally, I had a dressing table but no mirror, which made getting ready a challenge.||The bed was quite hard, and I was only given one flat pillow. The breakfast options were limited—cold meats, cheese, and fruit were available, but the only hot food choices were watery scrambled eggs, frankfurter sausages, and chorizo sausages. While these were decent, the variety was lacking, especially for a hotel of this size.||The location was fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to multiple tram stops. There were shops, bars, and restaurants all within a 5–10 minute walk, so you didn’t need to head into the city center for supplies or pre-drinks. The staff were helpful and polite.||Overall, it wasn’t a bad place to stay. It was clean, albeit tiny, and I had a decent time. However, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Not bad but nothing special. Rooms were clean. No wellness or gym. Good location if you want to visit Prague for sightseeings.

The pillows were rock hard , exchanged them for soft ones which were useless and were only allowed one pillow per person . The "room" was a corridor, so narrow the single beds were in a row not side by side. The bar was closed when we got back at 8.30p.m. On the plus side , the breakfast was adequate and the hotel was clean.

Do not trust this hotel! |Visited for my dad’s 80th birthday. Booked a nice room in top floor for 8 night stay. Turned up exhausted and was checked in. East facing room and it had no curtains. 4 star executive room with no curtains. When I complained all they could offer to do was move me into ground floor room half the size by street. They Haven’t yet decided if they’re going to compensate us. Do not trust this hotel!

Yelp
First time in Prague- this hotel was close to public transport to the city center but not too close- I could breathe away from all the other tourists (so crowded). The staff is super nice too and they offer breakfast every morning until 10:30am. Area seems safe- we walked around the corner to a water fountain rotunda area and ate at Blatouch at like 10pm (vegetarian vegan friendly spot that's a good hangout place). The room is quaint and small but good enough for me and the partner. We have the cleaning staff tips everyday we cleaned and they did a good job in maintaining the room and even left cute written thank you notes. Would def come back here- you can also leave your luggage at the counter if your room isn't ready or if you're checking out and want to explore a little more before heading to the airport. We tried saying little things in Czech and they appreciated it- but most staff speak a little bit of English- atleast the hostesses do. Lots of European and Asian tourists- maybe a handful of Americans when we came in June.

Yelp
We stayed 11 nights in Switzerland, Prague and Berlin and this was arguably our best hotel. Got an amazing rate off priceline. I could've hoped for a better location... Tram and trail stops were at least 10 minute walk away. But that's not really their fault and we could use the exercise so it's all good. From the moment we walked in, we felt the 4 star service. Someone took our bags, check in was a breeze, and we had a lovely room on the 5th floor. We're used to tiny rooms in Europe but we had a good sized room. It WAS a bit odd that the toilet and the shower were in separate small rooms with doors... Because you had to exit the toilet without washing your hands, then head into the other room. Also the shower was horribly designed, instead of a curtain there was a sort of half of a glass divider and the nozzle was located so you ended up flooding the floor when you showered. Other than that, everything was great. Free WiFi that actually worked inside the room. Free breakfast... And what a spread! They had the best breakfast ever. I usually came away from the buffet tables with 2 or 3 plates. (They were a bit smaller than usual plates!) Easy check out and they were even willing to extend it for us, and hold our bags since our flight was on the evening and we weren't done exploring. Definitely highly recommended in Prague and wherever else they have a branch.

Yelp
good central location for a great price! highly recommend if you don't mind the modest room, but close to public transportation. the hotel is about a 10 min walking distance from the Namesti Miru station which is about 2-3 stations away from all the major attractions. the room was quiet, good beds & wifi connection, great water pressure on the shower, and suffice breakfast (a lot to choose from, but i mainly care about good strong coffee, so it's all relative.) the cleaning was an issue for us as they did a lousy job on the first night, however, we left a tip and a thank-you note (this is called reverse psychology), and it was great after that. tip:check out-- -the winery inside the neighborhood park (5-6 min walking distance) -mexican restaurant called Las Adelitos (authentic and great service!) -IF Cafe (cute decor and great coffees/pastries) p.s. the staff was mostly friendly, however, this one staff during breakfast, Zusana (sp?) was amazing and she really made our stay pleasant!

Yelp
Extremely underwhelmed by this hotel. For the price of a solid 3 star hotel, you are getting barely a motel standard. There is even no basic toiletries like shower gel or a shampoo - but just a hand wash in a reusable pump. Photos on the website are professionally done and probably photohopped so it will not be what you're getting. I'm afraid this will be the only bad experience in Prague.

Yelp
Wouldn't consider this a 4 star hotel.. Breakfast wasn't great, a/c hardly worked and was not very close to the sites. They charge you very every little thing and didn't even have an ice machine and no key for the kitchen to get some..
