A fantastic location, great hotel and lovely staff. Special mention for Carol.|Will go back in a flash to this great old building which is renovated to the highest standard. Could not find a fault.

One if those hotels, you enter and feel like entering an old run down building but then discover à very nice and cozy one, incredibly lovely and forthcoming and helpful staff. Rooms also very cozy eventhough simple. Breakfast was als very nice next to the Aare river. I can highly recommend it!

Beautiful hotel on the riverside of midtown Solothurn. We arrived on Sunday, so the counter wasn't staffed. I was emailed beforehand about the self check-in system, where you got a code and receive the keys to your room from an automated box. The hotel itself is situated in an historical building and the new and the old are well merged together. Our room was at the second story, so we had to climb a wooden staircase (which wasn't a problem for us). The room itself was nice and cozy, though the glass sliding doors of the bathroom, didn't close till the end. Maybe as a prevention to wetness and mold. The hotel had a wonderful breakfast hall, which served a simple but sufficient food. In the evening, a fridge full of beers, was open for the free use of the guests and a really nice private yard, viewing the riverside was available till the late nighttime. The staff is very nice and helpful. Our stay was perfect.

Very good stay, very friendly staff, very modern and large rooms. The hotel's architecture is very interesting, as the building was once used as a hospital. Guest can clearly recognize the antique characteristics of the old hospital, whereas the interior design is very bright, open, and modern. The only weak point was the food, as the cuisine did not offer a proper and healthy option for vegetarians.

The hotel is within walking distance to all the attractions the beautiful city of Solothurn has to offer. Although there is no minibar in the rooms, there is a fridge with beer and sodas, a great coffee machine and fresh fruit available in the lobby. All available for free! The breakfast buffet offers plenty of delicious choices. The staff are helpful and friendly. The restaurant next door has a wonderful terrace and great food. A comfortable hotel with rooms offering a great view of the river.

My room had view on the river, which is great. But without AC the room is very hot on the top floor. No fan in the room or balcony to get some airflow going.||Service was kind and helpful. The breakfast is simple but okay.

In general the Hotel is good, however the noisy wooden floors are extremely annoying. There was a moment I didn't want to move around the room.
