Simple clean rooms. Mine was a real double sized bed (as opposed to two twins that are often pushed together) and came with a water. The breakfast for 13 euros is good for the price and service at the front desk was friendly. I am happy they provided real hangers in the rooms. I would have preferred more than one bath towel and one hand towel in the room. Location is perfect and one can always pop into the lobby bar at Motel One for a drink if needed.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic - the people, the location, the breakfast, the bikes we could rent for ten euros per day! We recommend to anyone going to Luebeck to stay here. The people were so very kind and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. The location can't be beat (2 min walk to city center) and the room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I'd go there again in a heart-beat.

Host was very nice, installations were fine, the only problem I had, was that the room was too cold, even with heating turned on max. I usually sleep with 18°C at home, but there I had the impression that it was even colder. Maybe it was a colder week than usual (it snowed one day, but overall temperature was above 5°C), but I really didn't have that happen in any hotel before.
The location is really good though.

We stayed here for two nights on a cycling tour. The hotel stored our bikes securely for us during that time. Our room was comfortable, a good size with a good bathroom. The hotel does not do evening meals but the breakfast was really excellent - a wide range of meats, cheese, fruits and breads/pastries and excellent coffee. Staff were efficient and helpful. Would certainly stay there again.

Excellent location just in town. No parking but a public one near by..
Rooms are small and very simple. Breakfast is not good; Portions are microscope ..

One of the best experiences in a hotel I have ever had in my life. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the hotel building of beautiful architectural design, the rooms sparkling clean and beautiful , while the location of the hotel puts you within 15 minutes by foot of anywhere in the old town of Lubeck. Absolutely recommended 😊

We loved the Hotel an der Marienkirche. Location - central and excellent, but very quiet. The room was large and overlooked the Church. The bells ring frequently, but the windows are double glazed and effective at shutting out most of the noise. One great feature of this hotel is the staff - from cleaners to managers - all very friendly and helpful. They helped us hire bikes and loaned us maps - even buying a map for us to use. By email, they helped us to organise a shuttle bus to the hotel on our arrival at Hamburg Airport.Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities in room. There is no lift, but we requested a room on the first floor and they helped us with our suitcases. There is no air conditioning, but they have new portable air condition units for guests in the summer months.Breakfast was excellent. Wifi was good.

We stayed at this super hotel for 2 nights in May 2017. It's well located in the old town, and they have a few parking spaces just on the other side of the road, which made life easy. ||Our room was modern and clean, with tea & coffee making facilities and a smart shower room . Breakfast was great, with a good choice of food. The staff were very friendly and a source of good info about our planned day trip to Travemunde. ||I would definitely stay again. One thing to note - there is no lift, so you need to be prepared to carry suitcases upstairs. The lady on reception helped us with ours.
