A HIDDEN SLICE OF HEAVEN.
Earlier this week, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Finca Lérida in Boquete, and wow… this place is unreal. From the second you walk in, you feel like life just slows down in the best way. You are completely surrounded by nature, the crispest mountain air, and this peaceful energy that just melts stress off your shoulders. It literally makes you breathe deeper without even trying.
But what truly made the experience unforgettable? The people.
Our tour guide, José, was an angel. Seriously. So passionate, so knowledgeable—he lives for coffee and it shows in the way he talks about every single part of the process. From seed to cup, he broke it all down for us, and you could feel how much he loved sharing it. His joy was straight-up contagious. We even got to try a coffee bean right off the tree—personally bitter but felt FREAKING magical!
The staff overall? Absolutely amazing. Everyone was so kind, so attentive—always there when you needed something but never in your space. My personal favorite was our sweet server Catherine (yes, we laughed over having the same name ). She had the best vibe, super attentive and good energy.
Let us talk about the FOOD.
Fresh, local, and made with pure love. They grow their own ingredients on-site. I watched a server walk out and literally pick mint from the garden to make a mint lemonade—and it tasted like emotional healing in a glass. And the house-made ice cream?? Creamy, flavorful, and so good it honestly didn’t feel real.
And do not get me started on the rooms—beautiful, cozy, spotless, and so thoughtfully designed. Every detail was just right. Our room had the most peaceful view, and the hammock outside? I could have stayed in it forever. Laying there, listening to the birds, wrapped up in a blanket... it felt like the world stopped for a second.
Finca Lérida is the definition of a hidden gem. If you ever find yourself in Boquete, you need to go. Come for the views, stay for the peace, and leave with your heart more full than it was before. Places like this remind you how beautiful, grounding, and soul-filling travel can really be.
