This review is purely for the lunch experience. Food-wise, it was quite decent — there were several salad options to choose from, and everything tasted fresh, which I really appreciated. Salad buffets can sometimes feel unappetising or a bit sad, but this one was nicely done. What stood out even more was the service. The staff were attentive, cleaning tables and clearing plates promptly so it was easy to find a clean and comfortable spot to sit. The food stations were also well maintained and regularly replenished. Overall, I’d definitely come back — good service and a fresh lunch go a long way.

What a nice place to stay. The accommodation was clean and comfy. The beds were good, and the outside table and chairs were perfect for sipping a glass of wine in the summer evening. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff was nice. Highly recommended

We stopped here for lunch on our way up to Tällberg. Even though it was a Friday lunchtime|and very busy it was easy to accommodate 6 of us. The buffet was reasonably priced and a good selection of food was on offer, certainly something to please all of us. ||We would certainly return here.

Stayed for one night. The hotel consists of a number of individual huts, intended for holidaymakers. The huts are fitted with a kitchenette. Based on the somewhat simple and worn interior and furniture, I would say that the hotel is overpriced. However, this is the only available hotel in town!||||I arrived late and did not try the restaurant, however, the breakfast buffet had all you could wish for in a nice setting.

Actually didn't stay at the hotel, but was here couple of times for lunch. Good location and enough parking space. Lunch - good choice of meet and side dishes, plenty of vegetables. Cozy chairs to enjoy a coffee/tea and cookie afterwards. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

If you like independent stays with all the amenities nearby, this is for you. Small self contained cottages with a little kitchenette and a nice bathroom. Very clean and the forest outside the door and the town a 10 minute walk away. And I saved the best for last - breakfast. OMG. Everything you could ask for and the best home baked bread I’ve tasted in a long time.

The hotel and its surroundings looked very nice, we did not stay for the night but extremely disappointed in the dinner we had in their main restaurant. Food was well below average but I must say, the service was good. I cannot criticize the hotel but would advise against having food there. This was the height of the season and on a Saturday evening, except for a reception of some kind, the restaurant was empty, that says it all !!!

Hotel Moskogen consists of several dozens small huts, scattered in a bright forresty area just outside Leksand, about 15 minutes walk into the centre. ||||Our hut had a nice size sleeping room with two individual beds, small table with two chairs and a lounge chair. A pantry is available, very small and a bit dated, probably more suitable to heat something up than to prepare a full meal. Small bathroom with shower, again a bit outdated with industrial style soap dispensers and fairly thin towels. There was also a small patio with two plastic chairs and table. Everything was clean. ||||Parking is good as you can pull up with the car directly to your hut. ||||Wifi was free, but weak signal that broke frequently, only suitable for casual surfing, not for work. ||||Breakfast was in the main building which houses the restaurant. Average selection of bread, jam, two types of cheese and a few cold cuts, joghurt and muesli, bacon and eggs. Although we ate quite early and the place was not busy, some items ran out and where only replenished eventually. ||||We had a good stay, but wouldn't pay SEK 1.450 per night again - for this kind of money it was too mediocre. ||||Visited June 2014
