Hotel & Restaurant Blumental Mürren

Just stayed the one night but what a wonderful place. The view from our bedroom was fantastic and although it was on the main road it is v quiet. Helpful staff and nice food in the restaurant

We spent 2 nights during my our Europe trip. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was minimal but well stocked and the woman keeping it was very friendly and helpful. We had a fondue dinner for a the first night that was a fun experience. The second night the restaurant was closed and places to eat in the village were minimal because it was between seasons. The front desk was not manned most of our visit. The area had been hit by an unseasonable snow storm. It would have been nice to have staff who could help us navigate the area. The village is either 2 gondolas or a train and then gondola from the main town below. The few places open had minimal hours during this season. It is a remote location in a beautiful location. It was a peaceful relaxing visit.

Stayed 1 night in August as part of a walking holiday. Very comfortable and clean hotel. Balcony with superb view. Nice location on the main walkway. Restaurant temporarily closed when we stayed but breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

While checking out, I poured a glass of water from the breakfast bar (my breakfast was included in the price), but the lady with short/bob haircut made a very rude comment about me taking a glass of water, mainly because I look different from others; I take hijaab/scarf on head. While everyone was having breakfast freely, she was pointing me out rudely only for taking water. I don’t really understand why. When I asked her what’s wrong with me taking water in glass, she didn’t listen to my question, made a very un-kind face, rolled her eyes and left. That made me feel very sad & looked upon. I hope they understand that these gestures can really effect their customer service in a way that I would never book this hotel ever again.

A mountain hotel that does not serve breakfast to regular guests (who pay more than groups) before 7.30. Not ideal if you are planning an excursion. The worse is that you cannot even sleep until then, because groups are served breakfast early, with a lot of noise under your room as from 6.30.

My daughter and I ordered a carafe of house white (29 francs) and two orders of their vegetable pasta with a cream sauce (total bill 73 francs ) 1- pasta overcooked 2-cream sauce was unseasoned and watery, we couldn’t detect any favor at all 3- for a ‘vegetable’ dish there were no visible vegetables other than a carrot roll on top 4- server did not check on our food once, nor offer us a tasting of the wine to see if we liked it. 5 - For a total bill of $73 (Swiss francs) - we were left completely underwhelmed 6-We had hiked 13 miles prior and so hungry at this point that we just ate it. We did supply server with feedback and no offer was made for comp because he said we didn’t tell home that we didn’t like our meal- he also never checked. A box of premade macoroni and a cheap bottle of wine from across the street at the supermarket would have been a better option We have had amazing food and service at Hotel Alpenruh. Go there instead - it was hands down better food and service for the same price point

Though the hotel appears a little older, it has been impeccably maintained. Staff at the property/hotel/restaurant were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with the gentleman at registration/concierge, and he was very helpful and provided great advice about. Location and surrounding are fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location for a ski holiday and base for watching the World Cup races in Wengen. We stayed in a spacious family room for 2 adults and one child. Very clean, warm, lots of hot water and good wardrobe space. Hairdryer was good and plenty of electric sockets for charging. Breakfast was great with cereals, birchermüsli, cheese, bread, fruit, eggs, croissants etc. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We chose the half board option with a 3 course meal in the evening. Food was delicious and large portions after big ski days. Vegetarian and children were catered for. Excellent pasta dishes and steaks. Good wine list too. Waiters were very attentive and service was quick. Hotel is in a superb location. 3 minutes from the Stechelberg cable car, 7 minutes walk from train station and right beside the funicular so ski in / ski out. We hired a sleigh from the cable car station to transport our luggage to the hotel. 20 CHF deposit. Easy access to their boot room. Thank you for a lovely stay!
