The hotel is in great location. Easy to walk to all sights in Bayonne. It has some character as it was originally part of the walls of the city. Our room was large and faced a lovely courtyard. The staff was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. Printed directions to parking were confusing. I would suggest you have someone from the hotel literally point you in the right direction.

A cosy little hotel in an old stone building, with a restaurant facing the courtyard in the old town of Bayonne. It's a little far from the central station (20min walk with luggage), but ideal if you want to immerse in the old town feel. There are also bus stops nearby. The restaurant serves good food (not the best but still convenient if you're too tired to go out). I liked that they had nice black tea from a local tea brand at breakfast and in the rooms. The amenity was decent but my first room had nice bathrobes and no tissue box, and my second room had a tissue box but no bathrobe. I got allergic reactions in one room from the room fragrance. The staff aren’t very organized but friendly and kind.Overall I enjoyed my stay but I think it didn’t match the price.

This is my first visit to Bayonne. HBP has given me a perfect experience. It is only 8 minutes walk from the train station via Rue Victor Hugo & Rue de Espagne, in a quiet hidden corner amongst the busy high streets. The room is a very good size, clean and user friendly. I gave 4 stars only because the WIFi code was not working. Breakfast is done properly and seriously - fresh fruits- perfect peaches , endless choice of breads & cakes, DIY waffles, local jams & honey… The team is very friendly and helpful especially Su who has only joined the business the day i arrived. Finishing touch is the dinner at HBP restaurant I have enjoyed all courses from starter to dessert. I heard it is also a local favourite.

Hotel in a converted historic building so some awkward ceiling heights and wavy floors - but quiet, clean and you get to stay in a unique medieval.tower, worth it for the slight inconvenience. Excellent restaurant too and position in lovely bustling Bayonne couldn't be better! Nearby underground parking a bonus plus cost is reasonable.

A renovated ancient building very close the wonders of Bayonne. We had a one night stay here as part of a European road trip and it was a good stop off. Bayonne was a surprise - a beautiful and vibrant city with a lot to do and see. Staff here were friendly. Hotel room was spacious, nothing really special, but comfortable. If I was in the area again, I would definitely consider staying here.

Wonderful stay for a long weekend to visit Bayonne for the rugby. Great location and the room was fabulous. All the staff were incredibly kind and our dinner at the restaurant was out of this world! Will be recommending to anybody that we know coming to Bayonne.

We were mostly pleased with our decision to stay here. The staff is caring and the rooms are decent if not exceptional. The location is quiet and so too is the hotel. As to our room, we liked the fact that they had acloset that didn't look like it belonged in junior high school. They have real wooden hangars. Kudos for nice lighting in the bathroom; something that is extremely rare in France. The bath/shower was ok, although old fashioned. Bed, fairly firm.||Breakfast doesn't win any awards, except they have the good sense to have Lavazza coffee.||The arrangement with the huge underground parking lot next door works well, once you find the poorly marked door to the elevator on their street. Remember aisle 7. You will be coming in from the other side, several acres away. But first, stop at the hotel. There are a couple of spaces available to unload. Then drive around to the entrance to the Tour de Sault Parking Garage, 6which is a good 6-700 feet on the other side of the Stadium.||Bayonne is a charming city. The hotel's location is convenient for walking into the heart of the old town. They can also arrange taxi service if you need it, and it is quite good. As with most old cities, you really don't want to spend much time driving in the core.

This ancient building has been nicely renovated into a small hotel at the edge of old town. It's a great location for getting around Bayonne and there is nearby discounted parking (park in the Tour de Sault underground parking back by row 7 and then you can take the elevator up to the street basically right across from the hotel - super convenient. The hotel will provide you with the discounted rate and tickets when you check out.) We didn't try the breakfast but the dinner at the restaurant was great! Definitely make reservations to eat here during your stay. The only problem we had was that you cannot control the heating/cooling in your room as this is controlled by the front desk (who aren't there at night) so we opened the window, but then I battled mosquitos, who always seem to find me. After complaining in the morning, they switched it to AC the next night and we slept well.
