We had no idea what a beautiful, historic town we had chosen for our hotel. We were on a road trip and we stopped there.||It is an old, cosy hotel with a unique atmosphere, and it is within walking distance of the castle.|I was glad they had an elevator, even though the building is old.||The staff are friendly.|There is free parking.||The rooms are bright, large, and very nicely furnished. |They are of a very high standard. The pillows, duvets and mattresses are all comfortable. We slept really well there.|Some of the old furniture shows signs of wear, but we didn't mind.||I really liked the carpet with a royal symbol on it.||The pillowcases and duvet covers had a lovely design; they weren't plain white, but rather a soft yellow colour.||The room also had a refrigerator with free mineral water.||The bathroom had everything I needed, and I was glad there was a radiator because it was very cold. ||The breakfast is amazing and delicious, with lots of choice and pastries that are fresh and still warm. I really appreciated that breakfast was peaceful, with no loud conversations or shouting children. I noticed that the staff often replenished the food, wiped the tables and brushed the chairs, so that everything was clean for the next people. This was really exceptional.||You get great value for your money.||There is no electric kettle or coffee maker in the room.||There is no air conditioning, but luckily we were there in September when the outside temperature was around 22°C. There was a small electric fan to help with the heat. I'm not sure how much it helped.
