A nice and small hotel in the heart of Ludwigslust. Sights and restaurants are within walking distance. The room was spacious, but it was quite hot in July and there were no cooling devices available in the room (floor fan, etc.). The beds were comfortable, but the hotel should invest in new pillows because the current ones are really bad! The hotel staff was mostly friendly, but when we arrived the woman working at the reception was very rude and rolled her eyes at us. Breakfast was compact, but sufficient, and special diets were also taken into account in the selection. All in all, it's worth the price and I can recommend staying here!

The hotel for itself, not for the guest, although my room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was well arranged (classic arrangement, in the sense, it was ok about 20 years ago and been well maintained). The bedding was not the best, but it was ok for one night. It is the attitude of the stuff, that left the sour aftertaste. I forgot my car key in the room and nobody wanted to help me ( were in deferent when I asked for help personally, and never returned my e-mail. So, we are just customers, not guests for them , whatever they say there

I spent the night at the Erbprinz in the end of September. As I am used to low Budget travel, this hotel was very luxurious in my eyes. The room was very big and there was a complimentary bottle of water waiting. ||The breakfast was okay, though I would have imagined a bigger buffet as the hotel seems to have a more luxurious approach. ||A big plus though that it is allowed to have dogs in the rooms. ||I would have loved to stay at least two Nights to get to see a little more of the charming city.

From the pictures and description on the hotel website we expected a romantic hotel with view to the castle. The hotel is nice but didn’t meet the 4 star quality I know from other hotels. ||||The rooms are nice and they have tried to catch the castle atmosphere in the decoration. The beds were a bit tired but did the trick. There is heavy traffic during the night on cobbles, you could hear that. I expected nice shampoo and conditioner on the bathroom but you have to bring your own. ||||The restaurant is ok, but I wouldn’t recommend eating there. Go to Restaurant Alte Wache instead. That was wonderful and with a view to the castle. The breakfast was ok and did the trick. ||||The staff though are very friendly and helpful. ||||I recommend a visit to the castle. There are some nice trails there in the garden as well. Ludwigslust itself is worth taking a stroll in. It is beautiful although with a bleak history that shows in the memorial sites for WW2. While you are there please visit the church. Like the castle it’s decor is made from the famous Ludwigsluster karton which is very obvious in the church ceiling. Guides are provided in many languages.||||We didn’t go anywhere else, but if you have the time I highly recommend a trip to Schwerin.

Stayed 1 night on our way to Dresden. Nice rooms, not modern, but nice and clean. Good roomsize and average breakfast. A good place for a quick stopover in a nice quiet little town. Nice castle in the city, and huge park

This is a 4-star hotel which is not evident from appearances. It is in a small and charming town and one would expect some of that to extend to the hotel. Unfortunately it doesn't. There is mould in the stairwell and some curtains don't close in certain rooms. I visited on a Groupon deal and so kept placating myself with the fact that at least I hadn't paid full price! The food in the restaurant was incredibly salty and perhaps purposefully so to cater for their mostly over-70 clientele.||The only positive side was the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

Well once I arrived to Lidwigslust I found out that there are only 9 taxis in whole city. Therefore I did not expect too much from the hotel looking also to very low price.||I should say that price is quite reasonable even for small city like that in Germany. The room was quite big clean and the food in restaurant was quite delicious too. In Paris they are charging 300 euros for such room and here is only about 15 % of it.

Lovely little town ,great Castle just arround the corner - but nothing of the little town rubbed off on the hotel, expected a little more. Food was good. Rooms not the best if you expect 4 Star. ||||For passing through ,i would say it is a reasonabe hotel to crash for the night.
