Hotel & Spa Ile Rousse Thalazur Bandol

We came here for a week-long vacation, as we especially value the beach — the sand, loungers, restaurant, and attentive service — above all else. In addition, we enjoyed the spa, the on-site restaurants, and the ability to stroll through the village. The hotel’s location is also excellent for short drives to Cassis, nearby vineyards, Marseille, and other destinations along the French Riviera. This was our second week-long stay at Thalazur this year, and we already plan to return again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was extremely clean and well decorated. The front desk staff and concierges were the kindest and most helpful staff we have ever encountered in a hotel. The setting along the bay was gorgeous! We enjoyed both the pool and beach as well as the spa services. The town of Bandol was lovely.

There are some really good things about this hotel but our experience was spoilt by the room we had. We stayed for two nights at the end of a short tour of the Core d’Azur. This was meant to be the luxury end to our holiday. The hotel pool and spa are lovely. It’s great to be so close to such a beautiful beach with great sea swimming. Some of the staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful . We stayed in a ‘street view’ room, Be warned- deliveries to the hotel start around 6am with metal cages on wheels containing hotel laundry being manoeuvred noisily on the cobbles in the street below at the front entrance to the hotel. This happened on both mornings that we were at the hotel and the double double glazing did not shut out the noise. So if you choose or find yourself in a ‘street view’ room take your ear plugs or pay to upgrade to a sea view room.

The staff? Absolute heroes 🦸🏽‍♂️. Five stars for trying their hardest to hold it all together. The facilities, on the other hand, feel like someone lost a bet - random spa amenities, a room with personality disorder, and vibes that scream “almost nice.” Thankfully, the team is working overtime to compensate for the chaos 🌪️. Bless them 🙏

We love this hotel and the spa! It was our third visit. The spa treatments and personnel are superb!

The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is very courteous and friendly. The fitness center is a little bit small, but other facilities are very good. I would highly recommend the hotel for a stay.

Tonight we had our dinner in the bistro at this beautiful hotel. Our party, four adults and five children, arrived to dine at the peak of business. The setting, ambience, and menu selections were spectacular, but paled in comparison to the Excellence in service from the young woman that coordinated our meal. Evelyn‘s patience, professionalism and sincere hospitality made the climax of our unforgettable day in Bandol. Bravo Mademoiselle! You are a true hospitality professional and our wish is that this review will find you and those to which you report. Commendation and recognition deserved!

This hotel is outstanding on all fronts and we enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, greeted in the foyer and overlooking the pool and beach below, we were so pleased to be here! We asked about a sea-view and were upgraded for a fee per night. Our room was overlooking the water on the top level with a balcony which we enjoyed so very much. |We visited the restaurant on our first day for lunch as we waited for our room to be ready and enjoyed and the service, champagne and food were wonderful. Overall, our housekeeping was good and the attention by the pool upstairs, including aperol spritz in the afternoon, were fabulous. We also enjoyed cocktails in the lobby areas on the sofas and the bartender was outstanding. ||We asked for a car ride to the train station our last morning and all worked out quite well--lovely gent and again, great front desk staff.||Highly recommend this fantastic escape as it is located just a short walk to the village and would make for a romantic getaway anytime! We would gladly return!
