Hotel & Spa Le Grand Monarque Chartres

This hotel turned my work trip into a mini vacation. I loved everything about it. The staff was very welcoming, the rooms were spacious and decorated nicely, the gym was modern and had everything I could wish for and the breakfast was exceptional. The whole place felt like another world. I hope to be back and can totally recommend this hotel. Also, it is in walking distance to the cathedral which is also incredibly beautiful.

This is a lovely hotel, full of character, and our room on the second floor had exposed beams, and plenty of space. We used the valet parking which worked well. The breakfast was very tasty, but needed a little more instruction as it wasn’t clear whether to wait to be seated or just get on with it. We didn’t use the spa as they seemed to want more money for it. However the value for money of the room itself was excellent. We would be happy to return anytime.

My husband and I visited accompanied by our puppy. We were very happy with our stay. The car park is secure and only a short distance from the hotel. The room was very large and comfortable. The decor was lovely and our puppy was spoilt with a plush bed too. We dined in both restaurants and Luna was allowed in both. The food was sublime and service was impeccable. I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is located in a nice area and is quite. The breakfast and the meal are really delicious.The rooms are nice and clean.||I should give a 5 stars, but unfortunately my friends and I noticed some lack of professionalism:|- the first morning, while one of my friend was heading to the restaurant for the breakfast, she was asked by the receptionist, if she was from the hotel. This question was inappropriate and upsetting as it could have been understood that my non-white friend was not a customer and came from outside to have breakfast. The receptionist should have asked for the room number instead.|- During a dinner, a waitress asked my friend to hand the plate instead of going around the table to take it by herself. Additionally, she took part to our conversation without being invited to do so. Additionally, the light kitchen was switch off while we were waiting for our dessert. So it made us think that we may not have it.

An outstanding bustling town centre hotel. The service was excellent in all areas..... |a great welcome on arrival, efficient valet parking, a very well equipped and laid out |bedroom and an excellent restaurant. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious with very courteous staff. . |I couldn't recommend the hotel more highly.

We did an overnight in this hotel and would definitely return . The room was a good size ( a comfort double ) with good bathroom and a kettle etc . The decor throughout the hotel is super . We ate in La Cours Brasserie and enjoyed an excellent meal with very good and friendly service . Breakfast was extra but gave us a fantastic choice it was hard to choose . We highly recommend Le Grand Monarque Hotel .

My wife and I stayed here for two single nights, as a stopover to our daughter's wedding in Cognac. It was an excellent choice. The hotel has a very secure and private car park, with covered spaces and charging points, approx 3 minute walk away. All the staff were most friendly and welcoming and we were made to feel very valued. We had two different rooms and both were lovely, very nicely decorated and very clean - usual tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was excellent, not full english, but scrambled eggs, bacon, beans etc, plus usual continental fair. Lots of choice and plenty of it! I must also praise the hotel for looking after their English guests at breakfast - an actual kettle and tea pots available in order to 'ensure' a proper cup of tea!! We also had an evening meal in the restaurant and again this was excellent - lovely food, lovely and attentive staff.

One night stop over on our way home, this is our third stay in this hotel, and as good as ever. The service is friendly and top notch, extremely luxurious and comfortable room, would highly recommend and stay again.
