Hôtel & Spa Les Glycines

Fabulous boutique hotel. Friendly and efficient staff, very comfortable and well appointed room and just superb food. We had two excellent dinners and breakfasts. A lovely large garden which was great for our dog. Highly recommended!

We stopped to eat and was greeted very well. The decor was wonderful the atmosphere good. My issue was i order my food which came and was wonderful food. However we were rushed over are first course which i did not want to rush as i was enjoying the flavours of the food. We were hounded to the point it was past enjoying as they wanted to serve the next course which i felt came too quick and for the price we paid of 78€ for are first course i felt entitled to savour and enjoy. To be honest in tje end when the staff were spoken to about this politely from us the response was the next course is ready. Not acceptable then to continue snd spoil the whole meal in the end. However the food was good the service was too demanding for me as a customer disappointed.even when speaking to the man in charge of service at the end he still fid not understand sad and was not even interesed that we wete locals in the area i would not rrturn as was made in the end to feel un welcolme very expensive for two people 3 mains i bottle of wine €161 and treat awful. We were warmly greeted and the decor and atmosphere were excellent. My main complaint was that our food arrived promptly but was served too quickly. I had not intended to rush over my first course as I was enjoying the flavours. The staff were insistent on serving the next course which I felt was too soon. For the price of €78 for our first course I felt entitled to savour it. When we politely spoke to the staff about this they responded that the next course was ready. This was unacceptable as it would spoil the rest of the meal. The food was good but the service was too demanding for me as a customer. Even when speaking to the head of service he did not understand and was not interested that we were locals. I would not return as I felt unwelcomed and the meal was overpriced. For two people, three mains and a bottle of wine, the total was €161 and the service was appalling.

Our stay at Hotel de Elysins was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome — always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed.||The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Everything felt fresh, comfortable, and carefully thought out.||The food was another highlight — every breakfast and dinner was delicious, with fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. It really felt like a full experience, not just a stay.||Everything exceeded our expectations. We would definitely come back and recommend it 100%!

We had a great 2-night stay here while visiting Font de Gaume, Sarlat and other nearby towns. ||The price was surprisingly good and the value/cost ratio was amazing. ||The room was modern, clean and everything worked as intended. We were here during very hot days (> 100 F, 37 C) and we appreciated that the room a/c had no issues keeping our room cold. The pool was also lovely and refreshing. ||We had good interactions with the staff, they were helpful, relaxed, and spoke english well.||We had lunch at the Bistro, the food was great, highly recommended as well.

The entire stay was a wonderful experience. Very friendly welcome, room very comfortable, bottle of cold champagne ready for us in the room.|The spa centre is very relaxing and well equipped. The massage is highly recommended. |The restaurant in the evening was an equally fantastic experience, accommodating, friendly and professional staff and a wonderful flavour experience.|The next morning after a restful sleep and a great breakfast we left as new people.|We highly recommend Hôtel Les Glycines. Absolutely beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Very nice swimming pool. Michelin star chef. Location is an easy walk to town.

Small room with non functioning air conditioning, too warm to get a good night’s sleep. |We spoke to management who offered an alternate room but said we’d have to pay extra. A fan would have helped but they did not have any. We heard other guests complaining about the lack of air conditioning. |The dog is cute and gentle but wanders around the public areas, we didn’t appreciate having it come up and nudge us while we were eating our breakfast.|Some of the staff have quite an attitude, customer service does not seem to be a priority.|They seem to trade on having a Michelin one star restaurant.

What an unexpected gem of a hotel it was on our cycling holiday in the Dordogne in early May! We absolutely loved our room, a nice tote bag gifted to us by the hotel, the wonderful breakfast, the gorgeous garden, and most helpful people working at the reception and the hotel. But the most memorable thing about our stay at Les Glycines was a gastronomic experience we had there at our dinner. The attention to detail in presentation, the deep knowledge of the dishes and ingredients by the waiting staff, their charm and professionalism, the chefs’ imaginative ideas and unparalleled techniques, the celebration of the local seasonal ingredients, and the inventiveness of the dishes, all made that dinner an absolute pleasure and a gastronomic highlight of our trip through the Dordogne area. Thank you everyone who works at the hotel and in the kitchen. You made our 2-nights stay at Les Glycines very memorable.

LeBistro at Les Glycines is a disappointment from start to finish. Starting with the location ( right on the main highway, your view from the restaurant). The staff excisting out of a very nice girl and (sorry to say) Forrest Gump with an attitude! When we tried to make a reservation online it was fully booked, but by phone wide open??? The specials were sold out at this nearly empty restaurant (REALLY?)and they offer nothing for kids.. The food is average, the Fois grass terrine taste like nothing, the burgers were good. We have had great service during our trip in France but in this small town in the middle of nowhere it was absolutely terrible!

The room and bath were very nice. The location is just outside the Main Street area but walkable to everywhere. The spa part of the hotel is only access able to guests if an additional fee is paid. The outdoor pool is open to guests. The dining room and hotel have a somewhat unfriendly feel.

Food is high quality but portions are small and staff is standoffish. Hotel itself is beautiful but restaurant facade ruins the look and fronts a busy road.
