This small hotel is attractive, quaint, friendly, and picturesque, but it is far from town and the rooms have not heat and neither does the pool. What travelers have said here about the size of the rooms and bathrooms is true, but they are clean and well attended. It is also about a mile and a half from the center of town, but the taxis are inexpensive. Almost all the issues with this hotel can be overlooked or you can compensate for them, except one. I was there in January. Tepoztlan is in the tropics, so the temperature during the day was over eighty degrees. But it is also in the high desert, so at night it was fifty degrees. And it was that cold in my room. That was not fun. In fact, my teeth were chattering all night and I slept in my clothes and wore a sweater and had an extra blanket on my bed. They also have WiFi, but I could only get it in the front lobby and not in my room.

Horrible nights from everything on adjacent rooms being heard in our room. There is none acoustic barrier. Last night heard one sick boy coughing all night in neighbors room, prior night we had a sneezing man who would blow his nose every fifteen minutes. ||The bathrooms were small, no place to put vanity items. Floors from the shower with a farm of fungi. The curtain did not meet the floor so the bath room would be messy after showering. Second in the shower would get warm-cold water.||||Massages were good! Prperty is nice. Service courteous. Still without a good sound sleep, I would never go back.

This hotel was a huge dissapointment, having stayed in a beautiful b&b in Mexico City at half the price we were expecting big things from this hotel. Upon arrival the receptionist was vague and seemed unaware of our pending arrival despite numerous emails. We were booked in for the weekend spa package which included a massage and use of the traditional mexican sauna and supposedly the pool but this was full of leaves and mud and was not cleaned until lunch time of the following day. The room smelt damp and mould was visible around the ceiling, the massage took place in a small damp room which looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in years. Breakfast was supposedly included in the price, however this was only the continental breakfast so we were charged extra for anything else we ordered which included one extra coffee on our last morning there.||||complete rip off!!
