Hotel & Suites Mo Sak

I would love to give this hotel a 4.5 star rating but a few snafu's prevent that rating. I made a reservation back in October, 2017 through Hotwire for a King Executive Suite. (The rates are very good by the way) At no place in the reservation did it say you must prepay to guarantee you get that type of room. When we arrived on March 29, 2018 they did not have our room. They said since it wasn't prepaid they couldn't guarantee the room. Had I known I would have prepaid. My husband is 6'4" and a simple double bed just barely works for us. The room itself was clean and spacious and had a refrigerator, extra since, fan and air conditioning. The staff was nice enough but could not accommodate our reservation. The other item that prevents a better rating is the transportation service to the airport. The description said they had transportation available and to simply let them know that you would need it and what time. This insinuates something like a complimentary shuttle. What it actually means is that they will call a taxi for you and you pay. I have no problem doing that but please make it clear that this is not free transportation provided by the hotel. I was disappointed overall but can not downgrade the rating too far as the hotel itself is nice for the price and has enclosed, locked parking. I felt very safe there.

Rooms are great, Staff is excellent and always ready to help in any way. Also has secure parking. It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants, but a Taxi is usually more appropriate, especially at night.

I'd arrived having not slept for 33 hours in Tapachula after a bus ride from Puebla which was meant to be 14 hours long, but turned out to be 28 hours long as a result of the blockades between Arriaga and Chiapas. Tapachula was as hot as a furnace when I arrived, so I was thankful that the air conditioning worked well here. I was able to sleep at long last at this Tapachula establishment.||||The staff at Hotel & Suites Mo Sak was incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful and understanding of my predicament, suggesting a nice place nearby for supper (thanks Rosalia!) but also going above and beyond the call of duty describing what it was that I would expect with the blockades the next day going into Talisman for continued travel to Guatemala, which helped that process go much more smoothly.||||They were a Godsend in what was generally quite a stressful day.

Las habitaciones son agradables, pero la seguridad dejo mucho que desear. Una persona ajena entro a mi habitación a la 1:00 am y nadie hizo nada. Me parece muy mal el que las puertas no se cierren y se bloquee automáticamente y uno tenga que poner seguro con la llaves desde el interior. Solicite a la recepción que revisen las cámaras. COMO SE PUEDE DESCANSAR CON TRANQUILIDAD SI NO HAY SEGURIDAD?

Es un hotel super tranquilo, muy buenas condiciones en las habitaciones y sus servicios. Pero lo mejor es el trato de su personal con los huéspedes, parece que estoy en casa por la cordialidad, sinceridad y amabilidad de su personal. Felicitaciones.

Me he quedado varias veces en ese hotel, han bajado la calidad. La última vez que me hospedé la reserva decía claramente que era una cama queen, pero nos dieron una matrimonial muy pequeña. A pesar de que le hablamos al recepcionista éste se negó y dijo que debía apegarse a lo que "el sistema le había mandado". La habitación que nos asignaron tenía un olor desagradable, la pintura ya un poco dañada y humedad en el techo. El tanque del inodoro tardaba siglos en llenar (creo que eso provocaba el mal olor). ||Las puertas de este hotel dejan pasar mucha luz del exterior y no tienen hora para apagar las luces de afuera o usar luces secundarias más suaves. ||El tema del desayuno es un tanto complicado ya que no ofrecen ningún servicio de restaurante ni los hay cerca. ||Las sábanas ya se ven gastadas.
