Hotel Anteroom Seoul (Seoul, Korea) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Today Garosu-gil is one of the city’s most youthful and fashionable shopping districts, but the Hotel Anteroom Seoul takes its inspiration from an earlier era, when it was known for its modest ambitions and for the gingko trees that line the road. And though it’s unmistakably a high-design boutique hotel, it strives to create the sort of authentic person-to-person connections that were cultivated by an earlier generation of shopkeepers. It’s got one foot squarely in the modern world, of course — its chef, Jungsik Kim, earned Michelin stars in earlier efforts, and its gallery showcases the work of up-and-coming Korean artists." - Tablet Hotels

I had an excellent experience here. The staff is super helpful, they have packing tape in the back that they lent me. The hotel also provides free self service laundry, and will give you laundry detergent for free as well. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Anteroom Seoul. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful — from check-in to check-out, everyone made me feel genuinely welcome. I also appreciated the thoughtful skincare sample gift, a nice touch that felt very “Seoul.” The room was quiet and comfortable, with a lovely city view that made evenings especially relaxing. The shower was fantastic — great pressure and modern design, perfect after a long day out. The location is super convenient for shopping and exploring the area, with plenty of cafés, boutiques, and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a stylish and comfortable stay that I’d happily return to on my next visit to Seoul.

I went their for a trip with my friends. Their location was great very close to the transportation (bus and MRT). Easy to walk to Garosu-gil (super near a 2-3 block away from the hotel). Their staff was nice but the room isn't good very small and the room isn't soundproof (just small talk with your roommate can let the whole floor hear you)

The amenity shampoo had a lovely scent. There are many restaurants nearby, and the station and airport bus stop are within a 10-minute walk. It’s a bit far from central Seoul, but it’s perfect if you want to enjoy the Gangnam, Sinsa, or Apgujeong area.

I booked this Motel for 3 nights based solely on location and the pictures shown on the website. I don't remember ever leaving a hotel after one night on a prepaid 3 night reservation but I'm so glad I did. I should've known when the hotel has a "no refund" policy that they don't stand behind their product. I arrived early at 7am and told the front desk (staff and manager) that I would be happy to pay a day's rate of around $70 to check in early. I was told that I will have to pay the weekend rate of $250 to check in 8 hours early. I tried to reason with them but they would not budge. I was told that I could come back at 10am and pay W20,000/hour (100,000 won) to check in early. They gave this "option" to everyone that came after me. I guess some people may be willing to pay $250. So, I came back at 10am and paid to check in early. Don't let the pictures on the website fool you. This is not a "Hotel", it is a "Motel" Also, look at the bed. The length of the bed is basically the width of the room. You can't put 2 opened suite cases side by side. The last straw that broke the camel's back was finding hairs on the blanket and bed sheets. Ugh!!! After the first night, I found myself getting depressed about the thought of going back to the motel after my morning coffee at Tim Hortons. I decided I deserved better and moved to the Andaz nearby. OMG, I will never take Hyatt for granted ever again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Andaz. If you are looking for a motel solely based on price and location, Anteroom may work for you. However, if amenities, cleanliness, and self-esteem is important to you, I would look elsewhere.

Now this is my favorite place. They gave me a room with a great view, just like I wanted. It's also a huge plus that they clean room every day. There's a terrace with a great view. The reception staff will always help you, even if you don't speak Korean. Thank you so much for a great vacation!

This is our first time in Seoul and the hotel is by far the most aesthetic yet affordable! Everything is within a walking distance and the staff was extremely helpful with checking us in early. The rooms come with bathroom essentials as well as a fridge if anyone was wondering. Update: We started noticing cracks in the walls and stains after requesting our rooms to be changed. The laundry room had a weird liquid in it which stained my white clothes.
