We weren’t necessarily looking for a budget hotel, but rather one close to the center. We settled on Posada Antiqua, a few blocks walk to the Zocolo and Brady Museum, and were very pleased with the location, friendly owners and general cleanliness of the place. Rooms are simple but clean and adequate with good Wi fi and plentiful hot water. The reasonable rates don;t include breakfast, but we ate at the excellent Cafe Taxco down the street. Highly recommended. Very nice and convenient stay.

The property is located walking distance from catedral, museum, garden and stores, the street and fasad of the hotel is discouraging, but inside it is clean, has plants and flowers , and a table with chairs for the room. The property does not offer AC and it was 104 degrees so a portable fun was installed in our room. The room are in levels with a set of stairs for each level. Our room was at the bottom level and there is no elevator. Not recomended for wheelchair. The parking is a street away in San Francisco parking lot, streets are one way try to park 1st and then walk to the hotel. Or if you have luggage, you park in front unload and go around few blocks to park. The pool is small. it seems the floor needs maintenance, but at 105 degrees, I wonder if that would matter. Service was great. Friendly people in the afternoon and at night.

This is a lovely simple hotel, just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Best of all, the staff are FANTASTIC. We left a phone in an Uber at 10pm and they could not have been more helpful as we tracked down the driver, and they waited up for hours until he returned it. It was extremely stressful but they were calm and confident that it would be returned, and it was!|A tiny issue, not their fault, is when he typed the name of their car park into google maps it sent us 500m away, but it is actually only 50m.

We planned to spend two days at this hotel, but we ended up staying four because we were sick. It was a perfect place to relax and recover. Ivan, the host, was so gracious and kind. It also helped us that he speaks English. Our room was lovely and clean, Our bed was huge and comfortable. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive. Others have mentioned that the hotel doesn't look like much from the loud and busy street, but once you get inside the doors, it's beautiful and surprisingly quiet. The plants and grounds are well cared for. The breakfast is delicious orange juice, sweet rolls, and coffee -- not a full meal -- but served on the patio under an umbrella. We are grateful we were there when we didn't feel so great. A couple of extra days of R&R and we were ready to travel again. Much appreciation to Ivan and his staff.

This hotel is a short walk from the center of town, with very obliging staff. We had to change our reservation at the last minute and Ivan was extremely accommodating. My favorite thing about the hotel was being served bread and coffee at our very own patio every morning. The hotel was also very quiet even though it is on a somewhat busy street. Wifi worked perfectly. My only complaint is that the beds were very hard and I could feel the springs a bit, but overall this hotel is great for the price.

We just stayed just one night in this 2 star hotel that has 5 star service. This hotel is not fancy by any means but it is clean and comfortable and has a great staff. Ivan treated us well and made us feel right at home. We liked our room as it even had a nice patio and was steps from the pool. For foreigners coming here you should know this hotel does not have air conditioning though they are going to install it soon. 10 months of the year having no AC is not a problem because the nights are cool and the fan is perfect, but from mid April to mid June is the “summer” in this area and days are hot. The night staff brought us extra fans and we ultimately slept great. We are two adults with two bigger kids so this is not a problem at all but if we have babies, it might have been too hot for us.

Our original plans had been to spend 2 days in Cuernavaca, but due to a minor health issue, we wound up staying for 4 days, and the hotel was a perfect place to rest and recuperate. Although the street out front is busy, once you enter the hotel grounds, you find yourself in a wonderfully peaceful sanctuary of terraced patios and immaculate grounds. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with updated plumbing (great shower!), and a covered sitting area out front that looked out on the gardens.||All the staff were very friendly and professional, and our host, Ivan, was very gracious and accommodating, giving us a discount on our second two nights, and offering to connect us with a doctor if we felt the need. He is justifiably proud of his establishment, and does all he can to make his guests enjoy their stay with him. A lovely man.

A nice enough accommodation three blocks from the cathedral and Zocalo. The unassuming façade opens into an enclosed stepped patio with a lot of tropical plants and flowers. The rooms by the tiny pool at the bottom have glass doors- not great for privacy. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough. The complementary breakfast is very basic just juice coffee and a sweet roll of some sort.

Yelp
Beautiful little quaint hotel. Near city center. It was very clean and that was far more important to me than anything else. Owners take very good care of the property. Breakfast was very simple. Juice, coffee and some pastries, all delicious. Would definitely come back here again.
