The hotel was absolutely amazing, very comfortable, warm and cozy. As the location is rural, it is very quiet with stunning views of the mountains in the surrounding areas.|And as an added bonus, there was a free local transport pass given on arrival, which really helps save on the trip.|Truly a gem, would love to go back

This is the place to be when you visit Salzburg. The hosts are very nice and friendly. They make the stay comfortable and feel like home. I highly recommend this place and there’s even a free bus pass that is given (which includes discounts for some places like cable car up Untersberg mountain or the zoo). Definitely recommend if you are coming to Salzburg! The breakfast provided is also amazing and is a nice place too to stargaze at night and is quiet as well making it a great place for a retreat. The bus stop is also directly infront of the hotel.

This is an excellent small, cosy and clean family hotel in the region of Salzburg. If you want to avoid the high prices of Salzburg hotels and still have the option to catch the bus in front of the door, this hotel give you a high quality much higher of what have you paid. Many 5 stars hotels can learn how to prepare and clean the rooms from this family hotel. I strongly recommend the breakfast - apart of the variety of the food, it is decorated and prepared with a high focus on every small detail.

We had the privilege of staying at this excellent little spot conveniently located just outside of Salzburg. When we arrived, we were greeted by the owner Margaret. I cannot tell you how sweet and accommodating this woman was. When she saw we were 4, she upgraded us to the apartment style room and it was fabulous. A big loft with a queen and 2 single beds as well as a small kitchen and living area. It was clean as a whistle. Since we had traveled quite a bit that day and arrived in the evening, we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. It was authentic Austrian and was fantastic. We had a restful sleep and were treated to an excellent breakfast which was included in the reasonable price of the room. I really cannot say enough about how welcome Margaret made us feel. Such a warm sweet woman who made our stay so memorable. If you are planning on visiting the Eagle's Nest, this hotel is just a few minute drive away. I cannot say enough about this place. If you're looking for the Ritz Carlton, this may not be your place. If you're looking to experience the Austrian countryside like it should be experienced, this is your place!

We had a hard time finding a reasonably priced hotel during the Christmas market season, so choose to stay just outside of Salzburg in Hallein. The Auwirt is very close to the bus stop into town, very quiet, and very personable. Breakfast was wonderful--many choices--and, as many others have said, Margarete is such a warm and kind hostess.

Really lovely place. The owner made us feel right at home; our stay was incredibly pleasant. A bit far from downtown, but the bus system was easy to use and efficient.The stop is right in front of the hotel. Download the app advertised and it will give you all the information needed for the stops. Breakfast was astonishing. Home made. Wow!

What I liked about this vacation rental was that the rooms were newly remodeled, comfortable,quiet with a nice balcony. The people were very nice and helpful with any questions we had it’s just the way any vacation rental should be run and even more. I know that if I visit in this area again I will surely try to get a room here. And I almost forgot about the wonderful breakfast every morning with the servers going around every table asking what type of egg I want for breakfast. |From 1 to 10 I give them an 11 😊|Thank you 🙏 |David Winkler

I travelled alone and was warmly welcomed by the owner, Margarete. Her kind personality made my stay very special. My room was on a main road, but wasn't noisy at all. I took many photo's of the mountain view from my room. The breakfast was superb with a great variety. The bus to Hallein or Salzburg is just in front of the garden and very convenient.
