The hotel is located South of Ascona on the road the goes around the lake. This road can be quite difficult when there is traffic, which is frequently the case. Fortunately, the hotel is right off this road and offers parking. The rooms are acceptable, nothing fancy but clean and functional. There is a good view of the lake with a small terrace. Breakfast was good and the staff helpful.

I was amazed at the cleanliness of our room. It would pass any white glove test. Had a balcony overlooking the lake. Sat out there late at night it was so peaceful. Just beautiful. The staff was so helpful to us. Very friendly and patient. We were late getting in after missing a connection and they made sure we had a table for dinner, the food at the restaurant was excellent. Great ending to an exhausting day. They went out of their way to explain the bus system so we got the most out of our trip. Had a taxi waiting for us when we left. Price was a little over average for the area but they made sure it was worth. Best thing I can say is when we come back we’ll be using them again.

Above all you should note that standard rooms facing north have view to a big wall of rock and plants (1 meter from the window!) and that superior rooms facing south have a breathless view over the lake. No reason not to book a superior room for the litle extra. The hotel is very clean and the bed is comfortable. The shower is just too small. The buffet breakfast is decent but not outstanding; you have it on a terrance with an unforgetable view over the lake. I guess location is good if you have a car (there is a park by the way) or even a bike. Otherwise, if you want to move around you will have to rely on a bus that drives by every 30 mins or every hour - depending on the time. The reception of the hotel closes after 10 pm or so; if you arrive after that you will have to open the door and turn on the lights by yourself. The lady manager is very kind and helpful; the rest of the staff struggles with English or so it seemed. No free internet. There is a swimming pool which I didn't get to chance. The overall feeling is that you are paying too much for what you get but on the other hand one must not forget Switzerland is not cheap!

Our stay was perfect. Comfortable, clean room with balcony overlooking the lake, professional staff, delicious dinners. What more can one want?|We would suggest booking half board, since the Chef's creations are sensational.|Excellent Wi-Fi throughout was a bonus too!

Beautiful view over the lake to the Island of Brissago. Room very clean with comfortable beds. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious and this is one of the reasons, why we always come back to this place. Another asset is the hotel pool where you can relax and swim in a uncongested, peaceful environment.

We stayed 4 nights there in a supposed premium suit with the lake view. The localization, the pool and the view were really great. However this does not mitigate (and by far) the size of the room/bathroom where you almost can't cross each other... the furniture and the design are also quite poor.. the only thing I can't think of is a medical house for elderly people.. it could be ok if only we did not have to pay CHF 200 per night.. The staff was nice and dedicated but the manager not so much when you have to call him at 11pm to open the front door as the hotel is closed.. all in all it is a nice place to stay but definitely not for the price they ask. As a Swiss guy I am used to the prices but this was a desapointing experience...

the workers are very nice, the rooms are with great views and the beds are comfortable. breakfast has everything you need and with good quality.
