Hotel Area Des Escaunes

Such a wonderful experience. A real find! From the moment we arrived and were greeted in the car park, our stay has been one of excellent customer service in a beautiful setting. The breakfast consisted of lovely local produce; Fresh bread, fresh orange juice and lovely scrambled eggs. We will certainly return. Thank you.

We spent one night on a stopover to the South of France. We were met personally by the owner who was charming. Our room was large, pretty and very comfortable with a beautiful view over fields. Lovely bathroom too. The whole building has been beautifully restored and there were also a number of very friendly dogs! All the staff were wonderful. Sadly we did not have enough time to use the pool. The hotel was quite empty when we were there so we virtually had the whole place and restaurant to ourselves which spoilt the ambience a little but the food was fantastic and we would certainly like to stay there again one day.

An absolutely magical place with the charm of ancient buildings and a fantastic restaurant!|The Domaine des Escaunes is really a very beautiful place, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the hosts are so nice!||To have dinner (and breakfast for that matter) in the court underneath the trees is truly a treat. The breakfast buffet was great, with fresh eggs, different kinds of muesli, French pastries and a great selection of jams.|We had fantastic clams, gnocchi and an amazing dessert with lemons for dinner, and the wine selection was good as well.

We had a company event here without sleeping. The place is so beautiful, everything is welcoming, cozy and in style. Hosts are very polite, helpful and made sure we have great and productive time. It os definitely worth to be here and will be happy to come again.

We spent a couple of days there for a long week-end. The rooms in the main building are all different, each with its own charms. On the ground floor there is a living room and the dining room, although, weather permitting, it is much nicer to eat in the courtyard, under the trees. The swimming pool are is a bit further, on the way to the private parking. ||The domaine is therefore a very nice place to spend a couple of days in South of France.

Rather charming hotel with large quaint room and nice natural looking pool. However we made the mistake of booking a meal in the restaurant on our first night, a complete disaster...||It was 38€ for a set meal (18€ for our 2 year old) so we were expecting a decent quality but what we got was a complete joke! |Greek salad starter consisting of 3 slices of pepper and cucumber and 3 tiny cubes of feta (which they unapologetically forgot on one of the plates) followed by inedible paella (a pile of stodge with shrivelled muscles and peas and a floury tasteless prawn on top) and finally a very average cheesecake. ||Not only was the food bad but the service was completely unorganised and unprofessional. We ordered a spritz for ‘apero’ and explained we would order wine later to have with the food. The food arrived 2 minutes after the cocktail and the wine menu appeared only after having asked twice. Then once ordered, the wine was forgot until we reminded them at the end of the main meal...not what you expect in any half decent french restaurant. ||Unfortunately this 150€ meal left us with such a bad taste on our first night that it ruined the rest of our stay and stopped us enjoying which aside from the food is a perfectly nice hotel. ||

We hired the Domaine for our wedding and therefore can say that all rooms were excellent and each room was very different. The Domaine staff were super and attended to all our needs both before and during the stay. The food and wine was excellent .||The only hiccup was the length of the two evening meals which was understandable due to the sudden illness of the chef we hired to cook the wedding meal and this had to be covered by the Domaine chef alone.

We've been there for one week (7 nights) and it immediately felt like 'home'. The domain is not only authentic but also romantic and picturesque, just like the pictures on the website.||||The domain is also located centrally within half an hour driving of beautiful cities like Uzès, Nîmes and Avignon and not even 1 hour from les Baux de Provence, Fontaines de Vaucluse and so on.||||Although we've been there outside the summer season, they did everything possible to ensure we had a pleasant stay. They also take their time to listen to the needs of the guests.||||Our room, situated where originally the stables were, had everything we needed/expected (except maybe for a mini bar but that would have been a surplus and would not really fit in the setting).||||The evening dinners are from a high level of quality: the chef works with fresh products bought the same day, dresses the plates like he's a painter and cooks in front of the guests. A perfect combination of price and quality.||Breakfast is also very good with fresh products, only remark here is that there is no variation regarding these products.||||We will certainly go back to this hotel
