Location is very central. Room and hotel is actually very stylish and we liked it. The guy on the front desk who is there from 9 to 5 is super nice and speaks perfect english. The rest of the staff was unfriendly and can’t speak english. Rooms are very poorly soundproofed. On the roof is a bar which is playing super loud techno music from 5 pm to midnight. This is also the main reason for our rating. You simply don’t get rest. We wouldn’t recommend.

View is great from the top of the hotel. Drinks were good but food was bad. Had the al pastor shrimp tacos. Felt like I was eating a US high school lunch. Not great.

This is a great location, although very noisy. The salsa music in town started from 10pm and didn't finish until 3.30am every night we were there (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and even with ear plugs the beat is very clear. |The overall place is cute an colourful and the reception staff are very friendly. The suite (1) with a king bed and double is spacious with a great balcony, it has a tv, air con, ceiling fan, and a full kitchen (microwave, stove top, cooking utensils, fridge). A nice big bathroom and shower with great water pressure and hot water. |The bar and pool/spa on the roof are very cool and convenient. Amazing spot to watch the sunset (second to the beach) as its one of the highest spots on the island. You can hear the golf buggys going along the street regularly. |Although the room looked impressive, it was not very clean. There was a bag of mouldy sandwiches in the cupboard from the last guests, the dishes weren't washed well, there were long black hairs in the shower and the bed, and the towels were very stained and ripped. The pillows are quite plastic and very poor quality. |I would recommend this place to those on a tight budget, who plan to be out amongst the party goers at night.

Location, Location, Location!!! Bang opposite parque central up a flight of stairs. Ida at the reception is extremely helpful and let us check in early. She also gave us a quick overview of the Islands with things to do . Rooms are cozy and decently sized with a great ambience. They have keypad locks so no need to carry a key. You can borrow a beach towel for free with 100MXN deposit. Room has plenty of space to stow luggage, has a TV, AC, ceiling fan and a safe. Rooms looked new and we'll maintained. Soo many restaurants within walkable distance and beach is a quick 5min walk as well. They also have a restaurant and bar on the rooftop plus a pool. Didn't get a chance to check it out. They have a sister beach resort hotel called Villas Flamingoes on the north east side of the island and the receptionist can hook you up with a free day pass so that you can hang out at the beach. The resort is 11-6 but getting there is a task esp with mosquitoes. Plus if it has rained recently then it's best to just take a taxi to the place as the roads are not bike able AT ALL. Only issue with the hotel was the rooftop bar played music (albeit not too loud) until 11pm or so. Would definitely stay again here if I come back to Holbox.

Just great!!! Check in is after 3pm, but my room was already ready 11am when I arrived! Very relaxing place, as Holbox in general. My room was on the top floor and had hammock, fridge, and everything I needed! Hot water - had to wait few minutes but it was there. Noise - I usually ask for quiet rooms and don't go to places with noisy rooms in reviews. Here there was no noise from the rooftop bar, though of you go up there is music. The only noise was one night from the street music, which didn't last long. So bottom line: not noisy. No elevator, true and you can see in the picture the stairs you have to carry your luggage, but it's no problem for me. Reception - is right next "door" on the left, street level. I really enjoyed!!!

We just stayed at Hotel Arena. The island seems a little overpriced in general and for the price, Hotel Arena is a little basic. The location is in the main square, which is nice although it's very busy, and the rooftop bar keeps going till late (which is either great or a bit noisy, depending on your opinion). The rooms were cleaned every day, the balcony was small but pleasant and the cool tub on the roof was possibly the best feature, with a nice view over the rooftops to the ocean. No breakfast offered as there isn't room, and the Wi-Fi hardly worked. The staff were very nice, but the front desk being in a shop below the hotel seemed a bit impersonal somehow.

The main selling point here is value. This hotel offered a nicer and bigger room, faster wifi and warmer shower than Amaite, which is 2 blocks down on the beach and costs 5X what this hotel costs.||||Location is on the central plaza, which can get a little noisy. There's no beach but its only a couple of minutes away and you can grab a lounger in one of a few dayclubs.||||The main issue I had with the hotel was the complete lack of amenities (they don't even have an iron) and the fact that I had to kill a couple of smaller cockroaches in my room. Other than that - great.

There are ups and down here. The pool and rooftop bar are cool and a great way to spend a few hours, but the rooms do get very noisy at night due to the loud music. The aesthetics of the building are pleasing, but the wifi is weak and barely functioning.
