So we didn’t stay in the hotel but in a Villa Owned by the hotel about 5km outside the town in the hills. The villa was great - lovely pool and a/c throughout. Panos the concierge couldn’t be more helpful and the welcome hamper upon arrival was a nice touch. Daily pool cleaning and refuse collection too. |One down side was that the showers were step into a bath gig which was as little out of keeping with the rest of the Villa. |Apart from that I would totally recommend.

The best hotel in Anogeia! I totally recommend it as the best! It’s close to everything that you can admire in this village and the rooms are very cozy and beautiful. You can go everywhere on foot. It is the most traditional village I have ever visited.

I think some places can have that special element. Something that resonates inside you. You take your own imagination when you travel and if you're lucky you might feel the magic of a place too. ||||From my own experience of staying at Hotel Aristea ... It was absolutely wonderful. ||||It's a family run establishment with a range of different styles of accommodation. The views and the kindness of the owners was out of this world. ||||I was so happy to stay here.

I wanted to hike to the summit of Psiloritis, from Zues's Cave location... by the way, the long version!! I stayed the night in the village of Anogia, at the Hotel Aristea. If you're looking for a great value, simple, clean and quaint hotel to stay, this is the place. It's claim as a 3 Star hotel is a little ambitious, (but then Greece hotel star allocations are for the most part eyebrow-raising), yet this is still a lovely place. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have balconies with great views. There's no breakfast room, so breakfast is brought to the room, to enjoy on the balcony. Breakfast is plentiful and well-worth the extra 5 euros. A single room with breakfast is 35 euros, and a double 45 euros.

The lady who runs this hotel was very friendly. The view was fabulous. The rest of the stay was awful. Old broken furniture, no facilities, no tea or coffee making facilities, no breakfast. The furniture in my old boarding school was better than here. I had read good reviews of this hotel. Cannot understand why. We left as early as possible and do not recommend this place. The photos were not even vaguely like the room we had. Very very disappointing. You have been warned!!!!!!!!

I don’t understand such good reviews. Maybe we were unlucky but let’s start. For 40 euros per day for a room you don’t expect luxury, but you expect at least the basics. There where not even the basics. No shower gel or shampoo in the bathroom. Both chairs in the balcony where broken, we were seating one after the other to eat. No breakfast was offered even though there was no facility for even an instant coffee and they mention that they offer breakfast in the website. We asked for coffee and breakfast and they brought us some cheese, bread and one banana for two people and one toddler. No air conditioning in the room, but that was ok because the weather was fine. The mattresses where very very bad. They don’t clean the rooms daily but that was fine with us. The view is amazing but when you are a family with a child, you go for the very basics.

A small apartment hotel in small Village of Anogia. The room was Ok, reception friendly and beautiful views from the balcony. We had some trouble finding parking space, we ended up leaving car across the street. Hotel was Hard To find, our GPS directed us according To given information (booking) To an edge of a Gorge. Otherwise recommended, especially for hikers and other non-touristy travellers.

Aristea, owner of this modern, clean, spacious motel is a wonderful elderly lady who welcomes you with hugs and smiles. making you feel home away from home from the moment you arrive. Her english is very poor but her kind heart and warm smiles transitions through the languge barrier. The apartment we had was two story..with balconies and great views of the surrounding mountains. The self contained apartment was clean, 2 bathrooms and well seviced . Parking was available both on and off the street. Stores and resturants were close by in and surrounding the town centre. Historical places of interest surrounded Anogia. The roads were in poor condition although still very accessable Value for money was excellant although payment by credit card was not available. I would definately stay at Hotel Aristea on any return trip to anogia
