Hotel Ascovilla

We had high hopes for our stay at Ascovilla, but it turned out to be quite a letdown. The hotel feels more like a retirement home than a vibrant getaway in Ascona. The charm and energy you expect from Ascona were completely missing.||On our first day by the pool, there were about ten kids yelling, jumping, and making a lot of noise. It was anything but relaxing. We brought it to the staff’s attention, but nothing was done about it.||Lunch on the day we arrived was also disappointing. We ordered a Caprese salad and got one unripe tomato, a couple of onion slices, and a few tiny cubes of feta – all for 17 CHF. Then they asked for a tip, and when we didn’t leave one, we got unfriendly looks from the staff.||Our room was far from what we expected for 360 CHF per night. It had a basic handheld shower and a view of the hotel parking lot. Definitely overpriced for what was offered.||We asked to leave a day early because we weren’t enjoying our stay, but the manager was unhelpful and rather cold. She insisted we pay for the final night and showed zero flexibility or interest in guest satisfaction. Her only “solution” was to offer a voucher – not useful at all if you have no intention of returning.||Overall, our stay felt like a waste of money. The hotel is overpriced, lacks atmosphere, and the service did not live up to expectations. Definitely not a place we’ll return to – and we wouldn’t recommend it either.

I and my daughter stayed in two double rooms for one evening on our Alpine and Lakes tour. The hotel car parking arrangements took a bit of sorting including dash display cards but the welcome was very friendly and accommodating; including asking if we needed luggage assistance.||The hotel is modern with excellent air conditioned rooms and amenities of pool, bar and restaurant in addition to spa features of sauna and massage. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. We each had private balconies that were pleasant areas to sit.||You can sit in the lovely gardens for breakfast to the sound of birdsong and many sparrows looking to join in.||No a cheap hotel but good value for money.

The Hotel is the perfect balance between a touch of luxury and familiar atmosphere. The rooms are contemporary but warm, as well as the restaurant and other spaces. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Pool and Garden are beautiful and private. Very quiet during night since no car traffic around. 2 minutes walf to the promenade. Great stay.

Five Star Hospitality! |My husband and I escaped for a week to Canton of Ticino. We stayed at three different locations which were each special in their own way. However, as we drove away from Hotel Ascovilla we decided if we had started at this hotel we would never have made it to the other two …it definitely stood out!|From the location, which was a quick walk to downtown, to our room, which was comfortable, clean, and very stylish ,to the staff, which were very professional at the same time extremely warm and welcoming.|We usually do not eat most of our meals at the hotel we stay at, but we ended up doing two of our three suppers …the food/presentation/atmosphere was superior. |Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable! We visit this place regularly in Somers since many years and were never disappointed. Managed and run by a professional, experience and polite team. For me simply the best holiday hotel I know in Switzerland. Heiri recommended. We will definitely be back.

Such a wonderful hotel! The staff is very kind and extremely service oriented, the cleanliness is immaculate and the location is fantastic. We had a wonderful vacation staying with Ascovilla. Thank you Mrs. Faucherre and your team for making our stay so wonderful.

We are very satisfied with the quality of accommodation, food and service. The suites are very spacious and the staff keep the rooms in immaculate condition. We took the half-board/golf package, a great way to end (or start) the season. Thank you for the excellent experience, we will be back soon.

We had a most pleasant stay in the lovely sourroundings of the Ascovilla. The room was lovely and extreme clean, as was everywhere else in the hotel. The garden was beautiful an the pool exellent. Staff was exremely friendly and helpful.|The only remark would be that price is a bit on the high side.
