Hotel Astoria

The rooms were small and rather old, reflecting the age of the building. However, the professionalism and the quality of the services provided were excellent. And the location is perfect if you’re looking to shop and get around the city by foot as so many key sights are within walking distance.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, fresh, and very comfortable. The service was excellent – the staff was always friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, with easy access to attractions and restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

The exterior and communal area are beautiful however the room was below expectations. The only window there was faced a closed off courtyard and had basically no natural light. There was also no kettle for tea or coffee in the room which was disappointing.

Stayed here with my son on a visit to Barcelona. The hotel location was great. Very convenient to Pg. de Gracia and all the wonderful shopping and about a 20 minute walk from a lot of other things. We easily did walks to the Gothic Quarter and other neighborhoods and were a short walk (5-10 minutes) from the Diagonal Metro station that would take us anywhere else in the city we wanted to go.||The hotel was very nice and the staff were great. The breakfast was good, not the best I have had in Europe, but sufficient and met our needs.||My only complaints were the bathroom in our room had a poorly draining shower and broken shower door. I reported this to the staff upon our departure and they said they would look into it. I also would have like to have had a kettle in my room like you have in most parts of Europe.

The hotel is nicely located and authentically charming for sure. Also I quite liked the breakfast. But at these prices (235 Eur upward) I expected a bit more of the room: my view was a wall one meter away from me and the bed seemed somewhat on the short side: overall gloomy. Must say that room seemed soundproof and staff is friendly too: maybe being a bit harsh?

A really lovely hotel in a quiet neighbourhood but still only a 20-25 minute walk to Placa Catalunya, with lovely shops, bars and restaurants on the way. We ate at Seasons Tapas Bar, which was a 5 minute walk and was really great. Lovely to have the rooftop pool and as it was a bit cloudy we had it to ourselves both times we went up there. It could do with a scrub though! Staff were lovely when we needed anything, but I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel where reception staff show no acknowledgement when you come in or out - no hello, have a nice day, goodbye etc. A smile and a hello wouldn't go amiss!

My stay at Hotel Astoria was truly special. The hotel has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, especially in its common areas, where you can sometimes enjoy spontaneous piano concerts and admire a rich art collection that gives the place a unique cultural touch. The guests themselves were also fascinating, adding to the inspiring and cosmopolitan vibe of the hotel.|The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always ready to help — and always with a smile. I love this boutique hotel that is located perfectly to walk everywhere, but far enough away from the main tourist areas to feel residential and quiet at night. The staff is so gracious and welcoming. I return again and again.

Location: great Room: spacious and comfortable Breakfast buffet: outstanding This spot was cheaper than many nearby hotels and honestly couldn't have set us up better for our stay. We opted for the "breakfast buffet included" which was definitely worthwhile and one of the best breakfast buffets we've ever had. The hotel also comes with *free access* to the Egyptian Museum which is a great bonus!

The best part of this hotel, in my opinion, was the location. It was located in a great section of the city. Close enough to everything without being stuck in the super touristy part of the madness. The room was small but very nice and kept clean. The staff was friendly. They get the 4 stars for all of the above reasons. Nothing exceptionally mind blowing, but it did the job. I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel again if I returned to Barcelona. Go and ENJOY!!!

Truly a gem. An awesome experience. Hotel staff was really accommodating. They went above and beyond! Room was comfy roomy and sensational!

What an experience! My boyfriend and I came to Barcelona for a couple days and absolutely loved Astoria. The rooms were great, staff is super friendly, and the location is pretty close to everything. Check out time is 12pm, and our flight didn't leave until 7pm that evening. They were more than willing to hold our bags for us while we went to grab a bite to eat, and also let us hangout at the pool until we needed to leave. Thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend to anyone who comes to Barcelona!

Good hotel super friendly staff, the rooms are spacious and modern. Free wi-fi i would definitely go back to Barcelona and check in this hotel again.

Great club. Nice atmosphere, very nice decor, friendly personel and very service minded host. Good food, great mojitos (a bit too great haha) and fast bartenders. We organised a private businessparty there till 11 and afterwards the club was open for everyone. Had a great time and im considering spending new years eve there as well.
