Hotel Astoria

Absolutely loved my stay here! The location was perfect for accessing main attractions, hotel interior is lovely like a modern art gallery, room was spacious & clean too 😄 Staff at front desk were friendly, helpful & spoke english. I loved roaming around central Barcelona knowing I’d be going back to my cozy room at night. Also, extra points for the slippers! I’d definitely stay in their Madrid branch if I visit.

A really lovely hotel in a quiet neighbourhood but still only a 20-25 minute walk to Placa Catalunya, with lovely shops, bars and restaurants on the way. We ate at Seasons Tapas Bar, which was a 5 minute walk and was really great. Lovely to have the rooftop pool and as it was a bit cloudy we had it to ourselves both times we went up there. It could do with a scrub though! Staff were lovely when we needed anything, but I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel where reception staff show no acknowledgement when you come in or out - no hello, have a nice day, goodbye etc. A smile and a hello wouldn't go amiss!

If you are looking for an elegant old world hotel, this hotel is a very good option. The facility and the staff are excellent. We did have two issues that are important to share. The first is regarding booking a room with 3 beds. This was an essential requirement. I selected the hotel based on this commitment. We were provided with a room with 2 beds and a couch bed. This is not ok, The hotel needs to make crystal clear that they are providing a couch bed if that is what they plan to do. When booking through a third party breakfast is free. I booked directly with the hotel and found out later that we received a bill for the daily breakfast. The breakfast bill was reduced for one person. I was left feeling like the hotel pulled a fast one. I think this is an excellent hotel. I also think the hotel needs to look at their policies regarding bookings for transparency.

The hotel was absolutely lovely and beautiful, with elegant interiors and a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay,|in a nice area. |However, I feel the breakfast needs to be addressed. The selection was quite limited, and the quality did not match the overall standard of the hotel. Improving the breakfast experience would truly make this place exceptional.

Great location and pretty rooms. No great view for basic rooms Also service could be better. I came to the hotel with my wife, booked a room a few days before but there was no additional set of towels. Also in our 3 night stay we received only 1 bottle of water

Not an overall comfortable stay. Air conditioning was almost nonexistent. My wife and I struggled to get a good night sleep here. To top things off, 2 men entered our room in the middle of the night. I jumped out of bed to confront them. It was a mistake by the front desk. My wife could not sleep so we had our key cards changed. The front desk clerk apologized and said we would be compensated for this. Though he never said how. On check out day I asked for some compensation and was told their was nothing that could be done and that i should have asked for a possible breakfast earlier in the week. Also not in love with the location.

With all the 5 star reviews, I wanted to love this hotel but did not. The good, it is very lovely when you walk in, the staff is inviting and friendly and the location is good for a short walk to the main town and good restaurants close by. The roof top is very small but cute with a great view of the city. The down side was the room. The toilet had no pressure so took many times to flush, the shower made a horrible whistling sound and the pillows had a mildew smell. The room was very loud and we could hear all the street noise as well as hallway noise. We were only here for one night so had I alerted management I am sure they would have accommodated a room change. Breakfast was sufficient and know that you can order hot food. We weren’t aware until we heard another couple order.

We stayed for 1 night. The hotel is very nice and spotlessly clean. It is in a nice location, easy to walk to the centre of Barcelona. The room was very nice and quiet with a great shower and everything we needed. The breakfast had a good selection. Highly recommended.

Location: great Room: spacious and comfortable Breakfast buffet: outstanding This spot was cheaper than many nearby hotels and honestly couldn't have set us up better for our stay. We opted for the "breakfast buffet included" which was definitely worthwhile and one of the best breakfast buffets we've ever had. The hotel also comes with *free access* to the Egyptian Museum which is a great bonus!

The best part of this hotel, in my opinion, was the location. It was located in a great section of the city. Close enough to everything without being stuck in the super touristy part of the madness. The room was small but very nice and kept clean. The staff was friendly. They get the 4 stars for all of the above reasons. Nothing exceptionally mind blowing, but it did the job. I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel again if I returned to Barcelona. Go and ENJOY!!!

Truly a gem. An awesome experience. Hotel staff was really accommodating. They went above and beyond! Room was comfy roomy and sensational!

What an experience! My boyfriend and I came to Barcelona for a couple days and absolutely loved Astoria. The rooms were great, staff is super friendly, and the location is pretty close to everything. Check out time is 12pm, and our flight didn't leave until 7pm that evening. They were more than willing to hold our bags for us while we went to grab a bite to eat, and also let us hangout at the pool until we needed to leave. Thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend to anyone who comes to Barcelona!

Good hotel super friendly staff, the rooms are spacious and modern. Free wi-fi i would definitely go back to Barcelona and check in this hotel again.

Great club. Nice atmosphere, very nice decor, friendly personel and very service minded host. Good food, great mojitos (a bit too great haha) and fast bartenders. We organised a private businessparty there till 11 and afterwards the club was open for everyone. Had a great time and im considering spending new years eve there as well.
