It is a nice hotel and walkable distance from Luzern train station. The room was nice with sufficent space. The facilities are good and hotel serves good continental breakfast. Sufficient options available. The staff is very nice and supportive. We stayed for 6 days and hence felt a bit monotonous as they don't change the breakfast options. We requested for some dinner plates and they said, they will charge 2 EUR per plate. They have a nice rooftop bar and the ambience is great. Overall good value for money.

*Astoria Hotel Lucerne Review* We had a fantastic 3-night stay at the Astoria Hotel in Lucerne. The hotel's rules were a bit strict, requiring a room key to access the floor and a deposit upon arrival. Additionally, rooms were pre-assigned, and our group of 8 wasn't able to get rooms near each other. However, the hotel staff accommodated our needs by placing the kids' rooms on the same floor and the adults' rooms on separate floors. *Highlights:* - *Great Rooms and Breakfast*: Our rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. I'd give it a 10/10! - *Dining Options*: The hotel has multiple restaurants, including Thai, Italian, Asian, Chinese, and Japanese Ramen. The Rooftop Bar offers a great selection of wine and spirits, with a fantastic view. - *Staff*: The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. - *Hotel Layout*: The hotel has a spacious layout, with a sitting area on the 1st floor and easy access to the main desk via escalator, stairs, or elevator. *Overall Experience:* Despite some initial challenges with room assignments, we had a great time at the Astoria Hotel. The hotel's amenities and staff made our stay enjoyable, and we'd definitely consider returning. *Rating:* I'd give the Astoria Hotel 4.5/5 stars. While there were some minor issues with room assignments, the hotel's strengths outweighed its weaknesses.

The Astoria Hotel is not only an excellent facility, clean and comfortable, with cordial staff from front desk to housekeeping, it also offers quality restaurant options plus and a magnificent roof top lounge. However, what impressed me most was their integrity. I mistakenly left Global Entry cards for my wife and I plus cash in my room safe. The same morning that I checked out and left with a tour group, the tour director was contacted by the hotel. He coordinated that the cards and cash be forwarded overnight delivery to my next destination hotel two hours away. From Astoria housekeeping to management, OUTSTANDING integrity and service demonstrated. Respectfully, Ernie Heffner

My husband and I had a good experience here at the Hotel Astoria Lucerne. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was huge, the shower head was fantastic, and there was air conditioning! ||I will say that one of the negatives that we experienced was that the part of the hotel that we were staying in there was only one elevator for access for multiple people. This made getting to the room difficult and because of the big groups that were staying there, we opted for the steps. The signage could be a lot better in the lobby or someone could step up to direct traffic if another alternative would have been available. Speaking of the lobby there were very, very low seats. If you have trouble getting up from chairs do not sit on this furniture. I typically don’t have trouble getting up from chairs and it was a challenge.||We only ate breakfast there and it was good. There was a lot of variety and plenty of seats. The location is good for easy in-and-out access to the main roads.

Hotel Astoria Luzern Stayed on 6/14 This hotel is conveniently located, with quick access to the train station and the lakeside. The front desk staff were very helpful—when I requested a sewing kit, they provided it immediately. However, if you're staying on a weekend, you might want to think twice. The soundproofing is poor, and noises from the corridor and neighboring rooms easily come through. There are also several bars upstairs and outside the hotel. It remained noisy until around 2–3 a.m., and the windows didn’t block the sound effectively. I couldn’t get proper rest until around 4:00 a.m. Room cleanliness was average—I found a small cockroach in the room when checking out. The breakfast was decent, but since we booked as part of a group, we were seated away from the windows. One server insisted that I sit in a spot where I couldn't access the buffet. Even after I explained the issue, they insisted I stay at that inaccessible table. At the same time, many tables in another section remained empty, which made the arrangement hard to understand. Due to this experience, I regret to say that I wouldn’t choose to stay at this hotel again for future solo trips.

Hard to beat the location. Just a short 5-10 minute walk to chapel bridge and the train station. The rooms are fine if uninspired. Clean enough. The shower drains very slowly which is a huge pain, but at least it doesn't have that mostly open design so you splash water all over bathroom if you're a sloppy American like myself. The rooms were clean. The front desk team was perfectly friendly. The breakfast was fine. Everything about this place is perfectly fine, aside from the location which is outstanding.

This hotel wasn’t my favorite in decor but that’s a matter of taste only. I felt this hotel doesn’t deserve the 4 star rating. The rooms had no amenities other than coffee. The same liquid is used for shampoo, soap and conditioner (one bottle). There are a lot of tour groups (I was in one) so it’s very busy and the restaurants seem to be used for tour group breakfasts. Our group seemed to all experience the same reaction about smell. Smoke and just an odd smell in the halls and some rooms. There looks to be an apartment block behind tower 3 so maybe the smoke comes from there. When in Lucerne I did see other options for a similar cost, even in old town, but I’m sure there are pros and cons there. One big plus is location. This hotel is very close to the old town bridges but a block or so away from the tourist crowds. The staff was courteous and efficient even though there were a lot of guests.

We had a swift check in and since we arrived pretty earlier than check in time, they offered us baggage storage until we head out to explore the city. Room is spacious and bathroom is comfortable and nice with the tub. Breakfast buffet had a vast selection of protein and other healthy options and everything was delicious. Staff is attentive and prompt with assistance. Property is located within walking distance to main attraction Luzerne lake and chapel bridge.
