Hotel Astoria Park

The night reception is very different from the daytime one. At night, there’s a receptionist who acts like a nightclub bouncer—aggressive and rude to guests, maybe because he dont have hair ? . I have never been treated this way in a hotel before. This man, who has apparently worked there for about 20 years, is ruining the hotel’s image and service. He doesn’t smile, answers questions in a curt and insulting manner, and seems to be looking for a fight. And this happened every single night of my stay!!!! For the sake of your hotel, you need to hire someone else for the night shift. I regret not punching him in the face. Thank you to Anna for the cleaning of the room, you are the best !

This place is an absolute disgrace. Constant noise, hostile atmosphere, and ill-intentioned people everywhere.||||But the worst part: a staff member actually insulted us. Yes, you read that right. Instead of solving a problem, they disrespected us with an aggressive and unacceptable attitude. And because they think we don’t understand them, they feel even more entitled to be disrespectful. I had never experienced anything like this in an establishment supposedly offering a service.||||On top of that, the food is disgusting, and the rest of the staff, when they’re not rude, simply ignore you. Zero professionalism, zero humanity.||||The only exception is the cleaning ladies, who were truly kind and attentive. They are the only positive thing about this place.||||I wouldn’t recommend it even to my worst enemy.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can easily reach all important places on foot. The central bus stop is just two minutes away. The room is comfortable, the staff cleans the garbage every day. In general, cleanliness is not at the highest level. The walls are very thin. In the next room there were very loud neighbors who came back from the club at night and made love very loudly almost every night) It's good that we don't have children. It wouldn't be the best experience. On the roof there is a jacuzzi, a sauna and a swimming pool. At the end of the season there were not many people there, so we had a great time. We didn't eat at the restaurant often, but we always found something tasty for ourselves. In general, we have a positive impression. The ratio of price and quality is excellent.

Good staff, the building itself is a but outdated, but still does the job. Nice location, however parking is 22€ per day, in a tight spaced upstairs parking.

Stayed from a Tuesday to Tuesday. Breakfast is good. Our room was okay. We were at the back of hotel on 2nd floor. If we had balcony door open during lunch or dinner time, the smell from the vents would come into the room. The maids come clean the room everyday, whether you want them too or not. Remote for TV had few buttons broke. I reported it to reception and they replaced it with a working remote straight away. On Saturday, the maids took our used towels but never gave us fresh towels. Luckily, we were after buying towels that day so we used then instead. We didn't mind that until Sunday, when we got back in the afternoon, we noticed about 40 euro in 1 and 2 euro coins were missing from counter. These coins were building up all week and were never touched before Sunday. I reported it to the man at reception, he took my details and said he'll speak to maids in the morning. I went down next morning to ask about an update. A woman took my details again and said they'll ask management about it. I went back down later to ask for update and was told by same woman that management said, because I didn't have the money in the security box, they can't do anything about it. When I went back to my room, this is what my security box looked like. I don't know do I have to pay for the lock insert for the security box or was it just broken. I didn't go back down to reception anymore because I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere. I think it's unfair that I had no choice over the maids coming into my room everyday, especially when some of them are clearly thieves. And that the hotel seem to wash their hands with any problem regarding the maids. It was a grand hotel and a lovely stay until that moment

The breakfast was bad , the dinner was also bad. The people working there are very rude. Only the bedroom was good.

I qas apprehensive about this hotel given some of the reviews. But I didn't think it was a bad hotel. Yes cleaning could improve and my room did smell of drains some of the time. The bed however was the comfiest I've slept in! Even better than my bed at home! The food was average, standard buffet but the scrambled eggs were delicious 😋 ||Location was not bad, very convenient for me! Everyone was friendly and helpful.

23rd - 27th June 24 - Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is quite central to main bars. We stayed as a couple on the 4th floor. The room was spacious clean, plenty of storage, fridge, hairdryer, tv, balcony with 2 chairs, daily housekeeping and towels changed. Hot working shower, also had bath. No kettle, but we bought one for 11 euros. Roof top swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi with plenty of sunbeds and seating area with bar serving snacks and drinks. Was surprised how it was quiet within the hotel at night. No doors slamming or loud music playing, but did have people who liked to talk loudly while going back to their room at night but soon became quiet. Had a mixture of small kids, groups of young people, and older & old people staying at this hotel. It's just a shame this hotel overlooks a square that can become noisy at night, also noise from local bars and drunk people who liked to shout into early hours each morning. It's not for me, in my opinion. The area is full of bars, restaurants, fast food outlets, souvenir shops, amusement arcades, and supermarkets, also close to the beach, all within walking distance. Bus station close by too. Would i stay again? Maybe not, I'm in my late 50s, so I like my quiet nights.
