Hotel Astoria

Our stay was generally okay. The night staff were courteous and helpful, and the hotel is in a good location. Unfortunately, the bathroom had a constant flooding problem after each use, including simple sink use, and this was never resolved. We were also disturbed by repeated knocking at the door around 12 p.m., even after informing staff that we were resting. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but these issues affected our comfort and should be improved.

I stayed here for one night with a friend, we were happy to find such a cheap and friendly hotel. It is just off the a main road so not noisy but really easy to walk to anywhere. The people are lovely, the beds are clean, they have hot showers and kitsch old school Moroccan décor. I felt like we had gone back in time. They have a very rustic elevator that really reminded us of old movies. To summarize, it is basic but calm, safe and welcoming, with a cracked charm. For low budget travelers, I fully recommend staying here!

However, the bathroom flooded after every use—even when only the sink was used—which was very inconvenient, and no assistance was provided to fix it. Additionally, staff repeatedly knocked on the door around noon despite being asked not to, which disrupted our rest during vacation. Not a terrible stay, but the flooding issue and repeated door knocking need to be addressed.

The location is great, but the hotel is kinda under maintenance, so it wasn't fun. Besides dirty bed sheets and cold showers with some flies in. They didn't offer soap but the towel was clean. Overall if you just wanna spend one night I think it's ok, but more than that I don't recommend it.

Nice hotel I liked the room and its facilities. The location is GREAT 👍🏻 The receptionist Fatimzahra was so kind and did everything to make us stay in good conditions. Samba also is going to care of you at night if you need something. Bigup also to the cleaning staff and their good job. All in all my experience with Astoria hotel was perfect for me, my wife and little baby boy. See you soon ASAP as we'll be in Tangier next time.

I recently stayed at Hotel Astoria, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the key issues I encountered: Cleanliness: The room was not clean. There were visible stains on the carpet and bed linens, and the bathroom had mold in the corners. Housekeeping seemed to be minimal or non-existent. Staff Attitude: The staff were unhelpful and sometimes downright rude. When I brought up concerns about the cleanliness, they were dismissive and did not offer any solutions or apologies. Amenities: Many of the advertised amenities were either unavailable or in poor condition. The pool was closed for maintenance without prior notice, and the gym equipment was broken and outdated. Noise Levels: The hotel was incredibly noisy. The walls were thin, and I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. This made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. Location: The hotel's location was misleading. It was far from the main attractions and in a rather unsafe neighborhood. Public transport options were limited, making it inconvenient to get around. Overall, my stay at Hotel Astoria was highly disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements for future guests.
