Can't comment on the rooms because we were staying in our caravan at Camping Playa Joyel but we saw an article in The Guardian about the restaurant at Hotel Astuy & the seafood served. We booked a table & had the seafood luncheon. It was fantastic...to start we had a jamon & foie gras salad followed by prawn & clam skewer. Afternoon a lemon sorbet the seafood platter arrived...WOW! It was delicious... then pudding...a baked alaska with our waiter pouring flaming rum on the egg white case... the meal included a bottle of wine (red or white)... All in all an excellent meal; we'll definitely be going again on our next trip to Playa Joyel..

Just must to be here! We booked 2 night room with seeview. Just amazing. Food in restaurant was also tasty. 3 small beaches near the hotel and one really big one! I love 💕 this place!

Amazing South American waiters! |Rude arrogant local waitresses and receptionists.||They lied to us. We ordered a window table overlooking the sea they said yes on the phone. When we arrived they denied it very aggressively. My Spanish wife had spoken on the phone so no language problem

Fantastic view from our room, overlooking the pool and the sea. We had a balcony, spacious room and en-suite, great big fluffy towels- it felt luxurious. Neither the hotel entrance nor the parking were very obvious, there are apartments and gym adjacent. The restaurant was very good but we had to ask for the menu del dia,

Lovely position overlooking sea. Bedroom a good size. Quick check in. Secure parking for car. Waiter not overly friendly on terrace. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.

Really nice hotel. Free parking, clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly and good service. We slept two nights in different rooms. Get the room with balcony and book directly. Plenty of restaurants around but their own is fantastic.

The location was ideal, there were 2beaches beside the hotel, and easy access to other beaches. The food was good, and the staff were excellent. Lots of beautiful cafes/restaurants closeby, and a supermarket about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The only problem i found was noise. We could hear everything from the street outside when we went to bed ( we usually go to bed about 10.30pm /11.00pm). There was no air conditioning but as the temperature was not too hot, this was OK for us.
