Lovely position overlooking sea. Bedroom a good size. Quick check in. Secure parking for car. Waiter not overly friendly on terrace. No tea/coffee making facilities in room.

The location was ideal, there were 2beaches beside the hotel, and easy access to other beaches. The food was good, and the staff were excellent. Lots of beautiful cafes/restaurants closeby, and a supermarket about 2 minutes walk from the hotel. The only problem i found was noise. We could hear everything from the street outside when we went to bed ( we usually go to bed about 10.30pm /11.00pm). There was no air conditioning but as the temperature was not too hot, this was OK for us.

When arriving at the hotel, we popped onto Google maps to find the best restaurants in Isla and came across this one, so we had to reserve straight away. The restaurant is very spacious, clean and the waiters were really professional. For the starters, we ordered Pate and a soup to share. They both were really nice. Our main dish was Lubina, and that also was amazing. The waiter that was attending us that evening was full of passion and loves his job. We did order two lubinas but only one came, as he guessed we were already full and he was definitely right;) I would recommend anyone visiting Isla to pop by and try their food.

Having read lots about the hotel I was expecting something nice but nothing more, how wrong could I be. ||||We stayed in the hotel part rather than the apartments, as a family of four. The two bedrooms we had appeared to be newly refurbished, were a really good size and spotlessly clean. They were cleaned daily with new towels etc and the room had a fabulous view of the sea. ||||Pleasant reception staff, nice bar area plus a good restaurant were all a positive but the proximity to the amazing beach is perfect for a family ||||Overall really exceeded expectation and just a lovely spot for a family holiday

We booked this hotel direct as we knew the location and had eaten there several times and we needed somewhere convenient for the ferry from Santander. The staff I dealt with (in my far from perfect Spanish) were extremely helpful and confirmed a room for one night with a sea view. The hotel has recently undergone (another?) refurb and reception is very modern and chic. The same look follows through to the rooms, with wood floor, neutral colours and duvets rather than the usual sheets and blankets. The bathroom was compact but very luxurious with black walls, and white tiles to the huge walk-in shower. Large sliding doors in the bedroom lead to a big terrace overlooking the promenade and cafe tables. Plenty of outside space allows the provision of lounging chairs as well as a table and chairs for enjoying alfresco meals. The sound of the sea lulled us to sleep. We ate in the restaurant and the food (as always) was excellent. My only disappointment was that we had only booked one night there

We stayed at Hotel Astuy for two nights on our way by car from Madrid to Asturias in May of 2016. The location is literally right on the beach. From our room we had wonderful views of the beaches, the rocks on the coast and the sea stretching out into the far distance. The bed was lovely and the shower was a large area and nicely hot too. Food at the hotel was really good with wonderful choices of sea food. Parking was just a few steps from the hotel main door, not far to roll our cases along the path.
