First Hotel Atlantic (Aarhus, Denmark) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Although its exterior can hardly be deemed charming, its rooms are spacious and modern with good facilities, a balcony and a vista of either the city or the sea. Enjoy breakfast with a view on the top floor. Classic Italian dishes are served in the smart restaurant. Gym membership is available at the adjacent fitness club." - Tablet Hotels

Overall I had a nice stay at hotel Atlantic. The breakfast was very good and the location is great. It’s close to the train station and the bus stop. The rooms do get very hot as they don’t have A/C. The window opens and they provide a fan in each room and that helped with the heat. The shower is kind of weird because it is not in a separate space from the sink. They provide plenty of towels and a squeegee to clean the floor after each shower. Each room also comes with a hair dryer and basic utilities. I arrived before check in and they allowed me to store my luggage in a designated area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It’s affordable and for a few nights it’s not a bad place to stay.

When we arrived it was about 35 C degrees in the room. Windows only opened a tiny bit. The receptionist, a trainee, lowered the temp via her computer but of course it takes hours to cool down. The beds are great which softened the pain a little.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff, amazing breakfast and close to everything! Great experience. Only thing to complain about was the teenie tiny elevator from the car park to the lobby. It was way too small and impractical.

Lovely hotel with stone throw walk to the tram stattion so ideally located with 5-10 min walk to the heart of the city. Rooms are lovely and bathroom had lovely shower gells and shampoo. A bit on the very small side and a struggle to enjoy a pleasant bath but ok for a short 2 night stay or so. Breakfast has lovely choices with amazing juices and both hot and cold food options. Pancakes on day one were tatsy but on day two they looked like they were either made too early or recooked. Coffee is nicely made and cut fruits are a stellar. |Rooms are not as well sound proof and noises from other rooms are easily heard. Overall one of the nicer hotels with great location!

Excellent room, great view. The bathroom could have a flat shower base instead of bathtub, it would be more comfortable and avoid some excessive water spilling into the floor. Amazing breakfast at the rooftop.|The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.|Also, excellent location. Close to the train station, the city centre and canal, where shops, bars, restaurants and most of the attractions are located (as the amazingly refurbished city hall building). Aarhus is a small city, so everything is within walking distance.|The issues pointed by guests some years ago seem to have been sorted out. No complaints from my side and definitely the option for a next visit.

The Atlantic Is a lovely hotel. Big and modern with large rooms and great views. Nice little balconies to step out on and enjoy the view. The breakfast buffet is very good. Great location walkable to everything and only a 10 minute walk to the train station. |The only negative is the shower - dangerous, high step-up tub, slippery, and no shower head, only a wand.

Good value for money. Centrally located. Great breakfast on top floor with great view. Friendly service. It isn't the Ritz or Carlton or Steigenberger. But we had a pleasant stay. If there is something I would recommend, replace single and old double glazing. It'll reward you with a reduced heating bill and will keep the noise out better. They have reviews on display, even unfavourable ones. Chapeau for this brave transparency. Would not agree with the negative ones, though.

Got stuck in elevator for 30mins, room was hot, without airco. Breakfast with view was nice. But would not book again.

Yelp
Updated 08SEP14: We've come back after they've remodeled, and now it gets 5 stars. The beds are REAL double beds, although they still have the option for twin beds on one floor. Again, our experience with this hotel has been fantastic, starting with the booking, and always a welcome when we check in. I love that we get treated so well. It's always a pleasure to stay here. We always stay at this hotel when we are in Aarhus. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are tidy and cozy. Only one complaint: I'm not a huge fan of the fact that a couple of times I fell between the cracks of the bed because it's not a real double, but two singles put together. But it is a business hotel. The breakfast is always tasty and there's a variety to choose from.

Yelp
This is the worst hotel ever! There's No wifi, No mini fridge in the hotel rooms, only two elevators with the capacity for like two people and No status so u have to wait one of the two crappy elevators that goes up No matter what. Get Your shit together!!!!
