First Hotel Atlantic (Aarhus, Denmark) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Although its exterior can hardly be deemed charming, its rooms are spacious and modern with good facilities, a balcony and a vista of either the city or the sea. Enjoy breakfast with a view on the top floor. Classic Italian dishes are served in the smart restaurant. Gym membership is available at the adjacent fitness club." - Tablet Hotels

Me and my friend got a room with a great view. Generous amount of bathroom products (shampoo, lotion, etc). It got a bit hot during nighttime and we had to open the balcony door, but weren't disturbed by the traffic outside. The breakfast buffet was amazing, especially for tea drinkers as they had cast iron teapots for personal use and decent loose-leaf tea. The clunky breakfast slot booking system was less amazing, however (thus one less star for service). The tea for sale in the lobby (coffee machine water + tea bag) was overpriced.

Overall I had a nice stay at hotel Atlantic. The breakfast was very good and the location is great. It’s close to the train station and the bus stop. The rooms do get very hot as they don’t have A/C. The window opens and they provide a fan in each room and that helped with the heat. The shower is kind of weird because it is not in a separate space from the sink. They provide plenty of towels and a squeegee to clean the floor after each shower. Each room also comes with a hair dryer and basic utilities. I arrived before check in and they allowed me to store my luggage in a designated area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It’s affordable and for a few nights it’s not a bad place to stay.

Fabulous in every way. From our arrival in the late afternoon when Alexander on Reception welcomed us with a smile and the key to our room to our departure two days later again with a genuine smile and wave goodbye we felt well looked after. Our room was lovely, clean and warm. My request for a room away from the lift was acknowledged and followed … and whilst we didn’t have a ‘view’ as such .. it was just nice to be able to open the door to the small balcony to allow fresh air in when we wanted to. The room was styled in a simple modern Scandi Style and the bed, pillows and duvet so very very comfortable .. one of the best beds I have slept in in Europe so far.  And a REAL plant .. a sweet touch. My only one slightly unsmiley face .. the shower over a bath tub .. great shower, good water pressure, but you have to climb into and out of the bath tub which could be challenging for some. All in all a fabulous hotel, comfortable clean stylish room, friendly helpful staff… oh and the most wonderful breakfast (included) .. would definitely recommend and will stay again next time I am in Aarhus.

The hotel room was bigger than I expected. I got the room on the top floor and the view was amazing! It was really clean and cozy. Like all hotels in Europe there is no aircon but they provided a fan which helped when the room got a little warm. The breakfast was really good as well with a nice view of Dokk1. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

I got an impression that the hotel is not too well organised. I had requested a quiet room far from lifts but I got one exactly next to them. They were somehow pre-allocated that it was not possible to change even though I didn't arrive late. When I went back to the room, I noticed there were no towels, so I had to go back to reception again. Later, I noticed the bottle of hair conditioner in the bathroom was empty and there was a stain in the sheets.||The room itself was smallish but nicely furnished. The bathroom was so small, that it was hardly possible to open the door.||Each room has a small balcony, which also helped to cool the room. The sun had shined in the day, and the room was too hot. There is no air-conditioning, but small fans are available.||The biggest problem - and not caused by the hotel - were the loud road works carried out in the middle of the night just next to the hotel.|The view from upper floors is nice.||The breakfast was great - good quality and very nice options.

Hotel Atlantic has a great location, just a short walk from the railway station and close to the city center. The breakfast on the top floor is delicious. If you’re staying here, definitely book a room with a city view — it’s absolutely worth it.

First of all, this location is superb. It is 10 minutes from the train station, 2 minutes from a tram stop and 3 minutes from an awesome food market called street food(prepared food, not fresh fruit and such). Also with the location you are right next to the shore and a beautiful cityscape. The service: The people at the reception were pretty fast moving and a tiny bit disconnected but it wasn't bad. The staff who worked the breakfasts were nice enough to take my plate away. The room: I stayed in a standard two single bed room. It had a decent amount of space. The bathroom was a little small. The highlight of the room was the balcony, providing fresh air and breath taking views. Downside is there's no mini fridge or non bathroom tap. Breakfast: I was excited for their breakfast, I truly was. Let's get into this! first of all, booking the breakfast is just that extra bit of planning that adds to your long list of tasks when on a holiday. It's a bit awkward to work around with. The breakfast itself, it's alright. Good quality, alright selection. I'd like to see more cereal, muffins, maybe pancakes? Other: Extra notes, the sign out section where you can scan a qr code to sign out...it is useless. It took my like 5 minutes and I still wasn't done. I went down stairs to check out manually and it took 3 seconds.

Yelp
Updated 08SEP14: We've come back after they've remodeled, and now it gets 5 stars. The beds are REAL double beds, although they still have the option for twin beds on one floor. Again, our experience with this hotel has been fantastic, starting with the booking, and always a welcome when we check in. I love that we get treated so well. It's always a pleasure to stay here. We always stay at this hotel when we are in Aarhus. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are tidy and cozy. Only one complaint: I'm not a huge fan of the fact that a couple of times I fell between the cracks of the bed because it's not a real double, but two singles put together. But it is a business hotel. The breakfast is always tasty and there's a variety to choose from.

Yelp
This is the worst hotel ever! There's No wifi, No mini fridge in the hotel rooms, only two elevators with the capacity for like two people and No status so u have to wait one of the two crappy elevators that goes up No matter what. Get Your shit together!!!!
