We love visiting this very special hotel, and have now had three wonderful stays there. Right on the beach at beautiful Wimereux, the Atlantic is the kind of hotel that is now vanishingly rare – welcoming, comfortable, every detail attended to, and every room faces the ocean! We feel the staff are now like old friends, recognising us each time we have returned. The atmosphere both inside and out of the hotel is so relaxed, and there is nothing more enjoyable than walking along the esplanade, whatever the weather. The restaurant is absolutely superb – amazing food (the freshest and most deliciously prepared seafood), great wine and wonderful service. Parking is simple, with a dedicated, easy-to-access carpark just behind the hotel, and there are many wonderful walks both along the beach and around the town. Don't miss the trail of gorgeous 19th century holiday villas, and a favourite spot for us is the tranquil little botanical garden.

We had a sea view room booked but was offered an upgrade to a premier room which was amazing the views from the large windows where great, this room had a bath in it which was large and very nice the bed was also large and very nice and to wake up and see the sea in the morning was great. they had all different lights and all controlled by a panel along with a mini bar and TV. The room was just amazing and the staff where all very nice and polite and we had a very nice breakfast this hotel is very nice and we had a super stay and will return again as the hotel is just great along with free parking and right on the beach.t

We have been waiting for the new rooms in this hotel, and my goodness they have done so well moving from a Michelin starred restaurant to some lovely spaces in which to stay. |Simply superb with a lovely welcome back from the team. See you again soon!

What a great hotel. Excellent location on the seafront. We were upgraded at extra cost to the suite, which was truly stunning! The restaurant was also wonderful with a superb selection of perfectly cooked fish in particular. We will definitely be returning.

I have stayed at this hotel many years ago and returned on this occasion as a solo traveller. |The service from Reception for both checking in and checking out was outstanding. Courteous, considerate and went above and beyond. |I asked when I checked in if it would be ok to have a pre dinner drink and sit at the front of the hotel looking out to the sea. |I was assured that this would be fine. ||When I came down to the restaurant at 6.45pm my dinner reservation was not handled quite so well. |The waitress told me in no uncertain terms that as a solo traveller I could not sit at a table for four which was by the window looking out to the sea even though I only wanted to have a quick drink there and had previously asked if this would be ok. The restaurant at this tine was fairly empty. ||I was made to feel most uncomfortable and I immediately moved further into the restaurant to the smaller table that had been booked for me earlier in the day. ||I totally understand that a single traveller cannot take up the space reserved for four other clients. However, I only wanted to have a quick drink before dinner and had checked beforehand! ||As a solo lady traveller, I was made to feel most uncomfortable. It was so embarrassing to get up and move tables. ||This has not put me off staying at the hotel in the future though as it is worth every one of its four stars. |Would I eat at the restaurant? | The answer is no, I would not! I was just made to feel too uncomfortable.| It’s a shame that women are still made to feel this way when travelling solo. It’s so old fashioned.

Great hotel, we really enjoyed our stay here. Had the room with balcony and it has a stunning panoramic view. Only the hotel parking spot was full a couple of times so we had to park our car in the streets a few times which has paid parking. Hotel parking spot has chargers for electric vehicles but it only works via a specific app which I was unable to use because I can't add my charging card in that app. There are very limited chargers available in Wimereux which were occupied most of the times which limited our mobility and also made me nervous if I'd be able to get enough range on my car to leave the area.

A very comfortable and friendly hotel, in a great seafront position. It also has an excellent and well appointed restaurant. |Perfect for a quick stopover, or to spend a few relaxing days.

Yelp
This is quite simply the best French restaurant I have ever been to. The menu is fabulous! Beautifully prepared dishes exquisitely presented and served with class. The restaurant has a reputation amongst the locals and you will have to book in advance, especially on a Saturday night, but if you get a clear spring day it's totally worth it as you will enjoy a fantastic meal as you admire the sun setting over the English Channel!

Yelp
This place used to exude 1930s glamour, and is still a fine place to enjoy a breezy lunch on the terrace ( with a sea view). The rooms have recently undergone a thorough re-vamp, which has received mixed reviews from visitors.

Yelp
A favourite place of my parents for the last 15 years and finally I got treated to a weekend in July. The hotel is lovely - we had a room with a seaview which meant tons of fresh sea air in the morning and a good view for people watching while getting ready! Lovely bar with friendly staff and plenty of seating inside and outside on the seafront. But it's the restaurant that really stands out. The food literally could not have been nicer. Every one of the 7 courses was perfect - could not fault them at all. The fish was fresh and cooked in different and interesting ways, with portions just the right size. The desserts are delicate and pretty and lovely. The dining room itself is old school posh restaurant but not stuffy and has a whole wall of windows overlooking the sea, so you can appreciate the gorgeous sunset while you're sipping fine wines and cognac.
