"The original incarnation of the Atlantis by Giardino, which opened in 1970 at the foot of Zurich’s Üetliberg mountain, hosted everyone from Freddie Mercury to Muhammad Ali. The Giardino group has brought its glamorous past and superior location back to life, hiring South African–born Inge Moore to inject the property with playful, stylish, and referential new touches like the vault-style wall in the bar (a reference to Zurich’s banking heritage) and 1970s-style marble floor in the lobby. The rooms and suites are equally eye-catching, thanks to the lashings of luxurious woods and stone, custom-made fabrics from manufacturers like Pierre Frey and Molteni, and custom furnishings. All rooms come with king-size beds and conveniences like flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms get a tub and shower, and most of the rooms have not one balcony but two. An ultra-modern spa (with two pools), a large and peaceful garden, and a couple of excellent restaurants seal the deal."

Really nice hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious, bathroom is great, it's quiet.
The hotel bar/restaurant is very expensive, but the food I had there was good.
There are also Mountain bikes and helmets at the hotel that you can take out. The mountain behind the hotel takes about an hour to cycle up, and then if you are a bit of a thrill seeker there is a bike trail down the mountain. It's awesome. I've added some pictures and will also try to add a video.

From the outside one wouldn't expect this really beautiful Hotel. From the inside it is set up very tasteful and luxurious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Having breakfast in let's you sit and see above Zurich. The rooms are classy and the spa helps you to retreat from a long working day.

As they say. Looks can be deceptive. This property has amazingly spacious rooms. The decor and service is quiet rich in taste. They have an indoor and outdoor heated pool. It's just off Zurich city but what a view at night. And most off all dont miss their spa

Just spent the weekend here and absolutely loved it! It's a 5 Star Hotel that treats you like a 5 Star guest! From arrival to post check-out the staff were wonderful, warm and welcoming. Really appreciated the shuttle service to the city, staff's attention to detail and fantastic customer service. Clean spacious rooms with complimentary mini bar (non-alcoholic), beautiful spa facilities and various treatment options. Room Service menu could use a few more options, however recommend the Atlantis Club Sandwich. The bar was nice with a great selection of drinks and live music on weekend. Would like to see real hot chocolate on the menu one day. Hide & Seek Restaurant is ok (3 out of 5), the food is prettier than it tasted. Come here for your honeymoon, or vacation with the family or to unplug from life or when you feel like you need to be treated like royalty. Worth the price and travel!

I stay at hotels regularly and this stay expanded my horizons as to what makes a good hotel. Normally I judge hotels based on the facilities, decor, food and so on. These were all best in class, but the service was what really put this hotel in a separate class. The staff were like almost family members in the care they took. It's the sort of service that money can't buy, but comes from a carefully developed culture. This hotel is a real microcosm of what puts the Swiss ahead in the field of quality and service.

Beautiful oasis in Zurich with exceptional service and food! And I’m not just saying that bc the fridge is stocked every day for free w homemade drinks, specialty sodas and snacks. 😁 It’s definitely a full service hotel w heated pool, yoga room, Michelin Star restaurant, bar - the list goes on and on. The complimentary breakfast was full of variety (leaning Swedish natch) and fresh and healthy. We loved our room w the roomy balcony and were grateful for the convenience of the train into the city just a walking distance away. So many perks! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

I was lucky enough to experience this place when it was snowing! It had absolutely amazing views of the town. I just went to this hotel to catch up with friends and had a sit in the lounge area and ordered some tea on a winter's day. Excellent service and beautiful hotel!

Stayed there for a week. Completed 7-day Ayurvedic program and loved everything about it! Would like to thank the kitchen staff, full board was included in the program and every single meal I had was delicious. Yoga classes were great, spa therapists performed outstanding, room service staff always there for you and infinitely polite. The room service menu however can be improved, but its a minor thing. Overall I can highly recommend the place and with that Ayurvedic program they definitely hit the sweet spot.

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel! I couldn't have been more pleased with a hotel while visiting Zurich solo on a business trip.
Brand new, clean, tastefully decorated, lovely staff. Upon check in the front desk agent walked me to my room to show me all of it's amenities and to make certain I was pleased with the accommodations. Which I was (see photos).
Room was set up as a suite with a sitting area that had a nepresso machine with all accompanying sugars, creamers etc. a fully stocked complementary mini bar (non alcoholic) with sparkling and flat water, juices, etc. also some chocolates and potato chips to munch on. Free WiFi made working here a pleasure.
King size bed, flat screen tv, Bose wireless speaker that synced to my iPhone. Beautiful view of the countryside with the city center in the distance.
Excellent breakfast was included. Lovely bar area with a bar bites menu where i had an assortment of tartares.
Complementary shuttle to/from Zurich city center (about a 10 minute drive).
Everyone from the front desk staff to the shuttle driver to the bar and restaurant servers were lovely and most remembered my name (I was only there 2 nights). There is a gym and spa on site as well that I didn't get to experience.
Although this hotel is not within walking distance of any of the Zurich tourist attractions, I would come back here any day and take the quick shuttle to the city to take my walking tours and then return to the ultimate Luxury of the countryside resort that is Atlantis by Giordano.

Yelp
this hotel is truly luxurious with a comfort level beyond Swiss standards. the breakfast is one of the best I've had in the world, and the only place to serve honeycomb straight-up! seriously unreal. the rooms are spacious and the amenities are a plenty. it's a bit away from city-center, but that's what gets you an unobstructed view of the sunrise and sunset, which are a total pleasure and treat. I'd stay here every chance i get!
