A wonderful charming Austrian atmosphere and a peaceful quiet location off the main road. Within walking distance to the St Stephan's Cathedral and Christmas Market. Wonderful breakfast options. Outstanding local dinner recommendation from friendly staff for our first night after a long travel day as well as helped us arrange transportation to our cruise port. Rooms were clean, comfortable and warm. Wonderful experience! Will be back for sure.

This is a terrific little hotel for any value-minded customer. Location is fantastic with immediate access to both the city center and public transport, and you can even walk to HBF in a pinch. It’s also far enough off the main road to be super quiet at night! We were greeted warmly and received friendly service our full stay. The rate includes a breakfast buffet, which is varied and fine. My father and I stayed in the Economy room, which required us to use separate toilet and shower rooms (two different rooms) across and down the hall. As far as we could tell, these were dedicated rooms for us, and required our room key to enter. Both rooms were always clean and well maintained. The room itself is cozy, but functional with a sink and small fridge. No A/C, but the windows opened wide to keep things cool at night. We were here in November, but I suspect the room could get a little warm in Summer. Highly recommended for anyone who is more focused on sightseeing than spending hours upon hours in your hotel room! 😎

Lovely hotel in a great position. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and warm. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the choice at breakfast. Although there's hot choices they weren't to our taste. We didn't feel we had value for money.

The service and front desk are very helpful courteous and professional.|Inside, off the street so quiet area. Rooms were spacious with high ceiling. Cleaning of rooms were done well and daily. A variety of choices for breakfast. If gluten-free please mention to front desk. They will offer gluten-free breads. Well situated in city center.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Austria for 3 days over New Year’s Eve! The location was perfect—right in the heart of all the festivities, making it easy to explore and enjoy the city. The room was exactly as described, with charming antique décor that gave it a cozy and unique feel. It was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a large, well-appointed bathroom that added to the experience. The buffet was another highlight, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. Overall, Hotel Austria provided everything we needed for a memorable visit, and we’d absolutely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the area!

This hotel is tucked away right in the city centre and has a lovely old-world feel to it. (With proper solid door keys.) Helpful and informative staff at reception (24 hrs). Really comfy and spacious double bed. Super clean. Windows that open so room is not stuffy. Great breakfast selection, breakfast staff is so nice! And even though it's right in the heart of Vienna with plenty of other guests, it was quiet. The only sounds we heard was the odd pigeon cooing, no street noise or noise from other guests whatsoever. Loved our stay.

I only responded very late in the day and arrangements were made promptly. |Staff are very friendly. Nothing is a problem. 10/10 stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Hotel Austria was just what we wanted . It was not too big . It was an independent hotel with a lovely old fashioned atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. |The room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable. |The hotel offered a good breakfast and every morning the staff happily went and prepared decaffeinated coffee for my husband has it was not on the main breakfast buffet table.|The hotel was right in the centre of Vienna old town within walking distance of most of the main tourist areas. |We had a very lovely visit and would definitely stay again.
