Hotel AVA

Nice hotel spoilt by the manager. First time ever that we had to be spoken to, like little kids, about what we could do and what we couldn't do. The main bone of concern was no tea making in the rooms. Too messy was his thoughts. We could have hot drinks in the breakfast area, not open until breakfast time. No early or late night hot cup of tea. A lot of our group are early rises, love an early morning tea.

Stayed in this hotel 2nights from 3-05Apr25. |Nice large rooms with balcony. friendly staff especial Georgos.. |Hotel is located near lake Sempach beside train station. No many options outside hotel. |Negative - Hotel has many restrictions for groups (not aure if it applies to individual or family) - no eating in rooms - no cooking, not even to boil water for instant noodles. No smoking in room (Understandable) no smoking even at the balcony - (wierd) whats balcony for??|Hotel rooms has coffee machine - but no coffee capsule nor tea sachets. Hotel mgr explains that - guest tends to spoil the machine. This is the most ridiculous reason. Explanation; not accepted.|In such situation, prrhaps - it only common sense - not to provide coffee machine in rooms

Been staying in lots of hotels lately and this is the only one I felt motivated to leave a review for. George was so friendly and helpful and welcoming

Friendly staff, very clean and cosy rooms. All apartments have a glass-surrounded terrace with nice views. Although the hotel is not far from the railway, the noise was hardly an issue for me and was more a profitable time-saving solution. There was a TV, coffee machine and a safe in the room . My room's bathroom had only a shower, no bathtub, but that is exactly how I like it. The overall philosophy of the place is sustainability, thus also the breakfast is individually chosen/cooked. It is also very simple, so don't expect fancy stuff. There is also a fitness room, vending machines and a bar in the lobby. There are other services as well, but since I did not use them, I am not gonna comment on them.

Very nice place to stay, rooms a clean and tidy, staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel has a modern feel to it, good bar and plenty of seating inside and out. All in all a very pleasant experience, I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this property as part of our church choir tour. It was very modern and rooms were excellent not like some of the other hotel rooms we stayed at during our choir tour. Breakfast each morning was good and plenty of it. We also played golf on the simulator which we haven't done before (extra cost) and the bar and lobby area were very nice. The train station is really close by, a short walk, and we took that into town one day as a group.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and daughter for two nights. The hotel is located just a short drive from Lucerne. The area around it is very quiet and the property seems very new and it is very well kept. Our room was of gigantic proportions, it felt more like a suite than a standard triple room. It was very clean, comfortable and had a great flat screen TV set with many international channels. Front desk staff was very nice and gave us very good restaurant suggestions. Breakfast buffet was of very good quality with tons of different options. The parking garage was easy to access and the parking spots were huge. The hotel also had a room with a big screen where we enjoyed watching England versus Croatia. All in all, a hidden gem out of the beaten track. We would like to visit this hotel again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in the week of 21st May'18 with family. ||Room quality: spacious, bathroom is extraordinary with see-through glass walls and latest fittings, bed was large enough and comfortable. Gives good view of the mountains from the balcony. ||Location: very good.... Touching the train station and local bus stop. There are farms at a walking distance of just 5mins from the hotel. ||Service: good||Would recommend : yes. Better to stay here as compared to staying in the town of Lucerne.... ||||Others : breakfast - (limited option of sliced breads) room facilities (rooms does not have air-conditioner/fans and hence it becomes uncomfortable in summer - keeping the windows open is not an option because of the noise of trains - the management staff did help by providing portable fans, no refrigerator in the room, too many touch devices in the building which are not easy to operate, no tea bags.). May not be having all facilities of a typical 4* hotel we experience in other parts of the world.
