AVANI Avenida Liberdade Lisbon

Centrally located, about 100m off the main Avenida Liberdade. So easy access to upmarket clothes shops etc. About 15 minutes walk to main shopping & eating areas. Room was big & stylishly decorated. Small balcony with seats - front facing so overlooked car park 😬 Staff were charming & helpful. Good breakfast range - continental, pastries, fruit etc. Buffet/self service. Downsides - it's a pretty uninspiring building (looks like an office block) There is no hotel bar - the breakfast area becomes part of an upmarket Japanese restaurant in the evenings.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Avani in Lisbon! From the moment I arrived, the staff were so kind and welcoming—they really made me feel at home. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had such a relaxing vibe. I also loved how close the hotel was to everything—shops, restaurants, and all the main sights were just a short walk away.||Breakfast was delicious every morning, with plenty of options to choose from. The whole place had such a calm and friendly atmosphere, and it was the perfect spot to come back to after exploring the city||Will stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, which made it easy to relax and unwind. Everything felt well kept and comfortable. What stood out the most, though, was the reception staff – they were so warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. They always greeted me with a smile and were happy to help with any little question. It really made the whole experience even nicer.

Such a lovely stay at the Avani in Lisbon! Staff was always so nice and friendly. When we asked for a recommendation for dinner we were sent to a very lovely portugesian restauratant in the nearby. Location of the hotel is top. Rossio within a few minutes walk. Rich breakfast Buffet. Major Plus points for the hotel Restaurant, a japanese kitchen by Olivier (little bit pricey, but worth every cent) Absolute higlight: the Pool! You are in the middle of the City and it still feels like you are in a reclused private settling.

The hotel was clean with friendly staff. Comfortable bed. WiFi worked well. Very good selection of foods for breakfast (continental style). Good central location - easy to get to get to other parts of Lisbon at a reasonable price by Uber.

We have enjoyed a great stay at Avani hotel in Lisbon. the hotel is perfectly located, with nice facilities, restaurant, swimming pool and gym. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They did everything in line with what hospitality is all about. We can only thank the whole team for such a great stay. keep up the good work. This also applies to management who were when need be responsive and available.

We were in Lisbon during the massive widespread power cuts, and were completely stranded in the city, in the dark with no food, water and no place to stay after our flight was cancelled. Having asked every single hotel in the entire area for a room for the night and being abruptly and sometimes rudely turned away, we instead were saved by the extreme generosity, kindness and human compassion of the staff at the Avani Avenida. No rooms were available but they still allowed 10 of us to take shelter in their lobby for the night, they provided us blankets, pillows, drinks and even breakfast the next morning and brought out gas heaters for us. All this and they never charged us a penny. Even during an incredibly stressful work night for them, and no doubt their own families who may have also been in trouble, they still went to such great lengths to make sure we were safe for no other reason than their human compassion for us all and their genuine kindness. The staff that night were truly amazing and I dread to think what would have happened without their help. I would recommend them for being the most decent, genuinely kind, good people and knowing they will go over and above for anyone who visits their hotel. I cannot stress the difference in welcomes we received from them and literally every single other hotel in the area. They cannot be praised highly enough and we will never ever forget their kindness. Thank you so much again from the bottom of our hearts.

I have meant to write this review so many times but then I seen my friend put a review up who shared our experience of this amazing hotel and it’s absolutely amazing Team! We were due to fly home from Portugal when the power outage happened in April and we were part of a hen party travelling back to Ireland, after we were evacuated from the airport and found ourselves homeless with nowhere to stay, the team explained they had no rooms but we could leave our luggage and gave us a list of hotels in Lisbon that we could try but after a long time looking and most of the hotels were rude we ended back at this wonderful hotel so worried that we would be out on the dark streets with no accommodation but the wonderful team assured us that they would look after us and offered to let us to sleep in their lobby and even gave us a complementary drink and blankets etc! To say we were relieved was an understatement! What an amazing team with such compassion and empathy! We will be forever grateful to you all and we will definitely be back to stay at this amazing hotel because if this is how they treated us not even having a booking I can only imagine how lovely it would be to actually spend time in this wonderful hotel!
