Husband and I stayed here during our short trip to Venice and what a wonderful stay we had! Room was clean and cold, updated recently? was within walking distance to many great places to eat (although a longer walk to some of the sights but we didn’t mind! We did end up spending a whole day wandering around the entire city and walked 11 miles in one day 😅), staff was friendly annd helpful and breakfast was awesome! Lots of great food options during the breakfast whether vegetarian or vegan! Loved all the extra amenities as well (gym, happy hour TH-Sat, free water). We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next trip!

The hotel made my birthday extra special with a surprise room upgrade and a beautiful canal view! It’s clean, modern, and perfectly located—peaceful yet close to everything. The staff was warm and welcoming throughout my stay. A wonderful mix of comfort, style, and service. I’d definitely stay here again!

This hotel was little far away from the main attraction, but it was close to the train station, so made it easy to get in and out. Marika at the front desk was very helpful and she was very knowledgeable about the location. She suggested us few location for best Tiramisu Cake in Venice and it was delicious. Hotel rooms are little small, but I guess it is Europe. The amenities were great and shower was awesome. Thank you for the great stay.

Really clean, modern and comfortable rooms. The location is close to the train station and the vehicle drop-off/pick-up area. Staff was very friendly. We arrived to the city earlier than our check-in time and they were able to accommodate us with our room. Breakfast is a traditional Italian breakfast and is not included but it is very good.

I’ll start with out of the 3 hotels i stayed at while in Italy, this was the cleanest and most up to date. The rooms are small all over Italy but i did like the room. The staff was helpful as far as helping carry bags or giving directions but the customer service was the worst I’ve experienced. Our flight was turned around because there just so happen to be airport strikes at the airport so we were unable to land. I reach out to the hotel for assist with canceling just one night on our stay and was instantly met with attitude and no assist. I was rushed off the phone when i asked to speak with a manager. I was told there was no manager available to talk to me. I could understand if it was my fault i missed my reservation but for something like this i should have been offered something. I would have been happy with a voucher for a future stay. I was offered nothing. Money lost.

Hotel Avani was a pleasant experience, but we encountered some issues such as a faulty AC system and experienced a water leak on our floor. Other than that, the staff was very hospitable and the breakfast they offer is high quality and tasty. They have all kinds of options such as different cheeses to different ranges of water and fresh drinks. The room was comfortable and the shower is sleek and modern. Wifi is slow in the hotel so expect to rely on data. Our 3 days overall were very enjoyable and I would stay here again!

Loved our stay here! It’s super convenient and in a more quiet part of Venice that’s not too crowded with tourists. You can still reach the main attractions like San Marco etc within 15 min by foot. We had an amazing room on the 5th floor with a beautiful view and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. This will be my fav hotel in Venice.

Hotel Rio Novo in Venice boasts a prime location, a stone's throw from the bustling bus station, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The hotel's modern and stylish design, coupled with impeccably clean and comfortable rooms, creates a pleasant atmosphere. However, the Venetian price tag is undeniably steep. While the staff are friendly and welcoming, certain aspects fell short. The lifts are frustratingly slow, often prompting guests to opt for the stairs. The restaurant service was notably sluggish, a significant drawback for weary travelers. Furthermore, the breakfast, while adequate, failed to impress, especially considering the premium room rates. Hotel Rio Novo's appeal extends beyond leisure, featuring well-equipped conference rooms suitable for events and meetings. This amenity adds a unique dimension, perfectly blending the allure of a renowned tourist destination with practical business needs. Imagine hosting a conference in Venice, where delegates can seamlessly transition from productive sessions to exploring the city's iconic canals and landmarks. The hotel's ability to cater to both tourists and business travelers enhances its versatility, making it a compelling choice for those seeking a memorable and functional venue. In essence, Hotel Rio Novo offers a solid, well-located stay, but the slow service and average breakfast leave room for improvement, particularly given the high cost.

Yelp
Stayed at this hotel for 2 days and I really enjoyed it. First off service was very good and everyone was so friendly. The rooms are nice and you can get a decent view of the canals. I came for a birthday/honeymoon and they gave me a complimentary bottle of champagne which was a nice free bonus. In terms of the room, it's small and comfortable. It has everything you would need and I feel this hotel was conveniently located near the train station as well as close to all the big areas in Venice. Breakfast - Food was delicious, had a great selection of items. They even had a coffee machine to make whatever you want which was awesome. Overall, would recommend this spot for convenience, friendliness, and breakfast. They even gave us a free welcome drink, which we used to get wine, because we booked through Costco. Enjoyed my stay here!

Yelp
I was so worried about this hotel cause our tour had posted old pictures of the bed and it was nothing like the pictures I seen! I was so happy! It turned out to be the best most updated place we stayed in Italy! Nice friendly service. Walking distance to everything you need while traveling. We had a great time! Good breakfast Buffett too! Love the expresso machine!

Yelp
What a wonderful place for a Venetian vacay! Clean and modern with wonderful staff. Get the breakfast. You will be glad you did. With a wide variety of international foods, you can power up for the day ahead. Our room has a king size bed, a wonder view and a modern bathroom with a bidet (hot and cold water). They make great use of the total space and the hotel windows open from the top to let in fresh air. When the moon hits your eye...

Yelp
Fancy, modern and people leave you alone! Friendly staff, quiet rooms. Not very close to water taxi stops but walking isn't a problem. I would stay again if I'm ever back in Venezia.

Yelp
My husband stayed at nH Venezia Rio Novo in June for our five year anniversary. This hotel is a convenient distance from the train station, we only had one suitcase so we walked over to the hotel but there are water taxis that can take you to different parts of the islands or the other side if needed. Hotel is very modern and clean. Very friendly staff, they all spoke English and that was helpful. Breakfast was great! And there were several restaurants within walking distance that we loved. Beautiful views of the canal from our room with huge floor to ceiling windows. The windows do open, FYI. Spacious walk in shower. We loved staying in the Rio novo district. It was quiet but still within a 20 min walk to st.Mark's sq and all your other main attractions. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Wonderful hotel, beautiful rooms with great accommodations. Super friendly & helpful staff. Location very close to the Vaporetto & main attractions. Loved the beautiful courtyard with chill music & couches where we had wine & relaxed enjoying the beautiful weather. Great breakfast buffet with variety of pastries, fruits & egg entrees ...& espresso machine with as many cups of coffee as I needed!

Yelp
Average hotel room that costs way too much money. Front desk receptionist was very rude, and tacked on an additional 20 euros per night for having a second guest with. I literally travel the world and have never encountered a hotel with this policy, and it's complete bullshit the charge was hidden until checking in. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not Americans as we're treated very poorly by the local hotel staff. Update: Woke up covered in mosquito bites - understandable for the location but to actively have mosquitoes flying around a hotel that costs more than 300 euros a night is simply unacceptable.

Yelp
Very nice hotel, close to the train station. Michelle from NH Gustiano Rome location recommended this.

Yelp
We asked the hotel to clean the bed sheets and what do we find when we are back in our room-- hair on our bed sheets and other nasty things. Please clean and wash your sheets before rooming guests here. Very unhappy.

Yelp
The approach to the hotel was not inviting - laundry hanging on the building across, lots of graffiti surrounding, but the lobby is bright and comfortable. This isn't a lavish or elegant hotel, but the room (we stayed three days, two different visits) was very clean and had everything we needed. There were usb plugs by the bed, mini-bar, well-lighted closets. The bathroom was very chic with a nice make-up mirror and bidet and shower. It's all new and sleek. I was concerned about the shower, however. I am mid-sixties and wondered if other older people would have shared my concerns. The tub was very high to step into, and there were no handles to grab onto if it got too slippery. It just required some caution but it's worth making note of. There was a lovely breakfast area though it wasn't included in our rate. We did order cappuccinos one morning and the bartender brought us some cake (gratis) to go with. Very nice reception ladies - some friendlier than others. Overall, happy with this choice.
