Hotel AWO

A positive surprise. The hotel is conveniently located are the rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast are top notch. A wide variety of foods Everything fresh and home made. If I visit Gniezno again I will stay in Awo Hotel.

A wonderful hotel. It's been a long time since I've seen such clean rooms. Everything is just perfect and thought out to the smallest detail. From the room design to the excellent breakfast. Perhaps only the lack of a lift prevented the hotel from receiving its well-deserved 5 stars :)

Excellent services. The staff was awesome. Very helpful. The bed was great. Usually European beds are too hard. Good location. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. There is hotel parking about one block away. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in the area.

One of the best hotels I stayed at on my visit to Poland. The courtyard is amazing. The rooms are new and very very clean. Staff is nice and accommodating. AC in every room. Breakfast was included and served in an amazing setting. If I ever visit this town again this is the only place I will stay! It was perfect!

This hotel is awesome. Their rooms are extremely comfortable. They include a mini fridge, couch, and desk in addition to the bed. The hotel is very clean and modern. Their Breakfast is phenomenal. It includes some tomato and cucumber slices, assortment of Cheeses, and deli meats. The next course is either a few fried eggs or scrambled with Sausage. Then follows up with a pancake with Apple sauce and a little chocolate Syrup. Then for dinner they have a great meal, I had it four separate times, Chicken with Herbs. Their staff is super attentive and they are really friendly. Lastly there is a courtyard in the middle with a covering to enjoy the fresh air without strong winds. This is by far one of my favorite hotels in Europe.

AWO - A Waste Of… time and money. After a booking malfunction, we arrived at this hotel to be told our reservation had not been confirmed, and it was full, but once the owner appeared, there suddenly was a room - an unnrenovated 1990’s, 15 m2 student style room that we could have for, guess what? 380 PLN - more than a renovated room of a higher standard and double the size! Mega-weird. But, we were with two young children after a long drive, so took it. Many things were faulty including the door lock, toilet seat and unstable sink, but hey we were at least safe from the cold… at least that is what I thought. It was one of the most uncomfortable nights in many years -‚the walls were ice-cold despite the faux wood boards surrounding the bed. The view from the room was grey and miserable. We were told to come for breakfast at 8.00 sharp so as not inconvenience other guests. Breakfast was ok, but the owner kept a close eye on us like a hawk circling its prey before a kill. We were happy to leave. Here’s the thing, if the owner had given us a reasonable price, there would be nothing to complain about but instead, she saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and rip us off - and acted like a good Samaritan doing us a huge favour. Very small-minded way of doing business.

The hotel staff arr excellent. Very friendly and helpful and speak English. Kuba was particularly helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers a free breakfast and parking. It is also located just a short walk to the city Square and plenty of stores to shop. I had a great stay and would definitely return.

This was my favorite hotel in Europe! The meals, both breakfast and dinner were outstanding! Family owned the staff were amazing! If you get a chance to up grade, do it. My room was beautiful. The decor and personal touchs were lovely. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
