Hotel AXA

The location is excellent — public transport is right nearby (bus station, metro, tram). That said, you can easily walk to the main sightseeing areas: most of Prague’s iconic spots are about 10–15 minutes away on foot. The property isn’t brand-new, but it’s well looked after: everything felt clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast offered a nice variety. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. We really appreciated being allowed to leave our heavy suitcase after checkout until later in the day — it made our last hours in Prague much more enjoyable. Great base for exploring Prague — superb location, good breakfast, and very friendly staff. I would stay here again.

I had a pleasant stay. The recepción staff were very friendly. The rooms , while basic, are very spaciousband functional. Hausekeeping was efficient. Breakfast is simple but adequate. Overall, good valué for the price.

The hotel is in the heart of old town and I have walked everywhere. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast is abundant and varied. Nice customer service. My only criticism is the lack of air conditioning in the rooms especially in the very hot August nights.

The room has no air-conditioning or heating so we have to keep the window wide open. The problem is there is no lock system on the window so we have to sleep with the windows open otherwise it’s suffocating in the room. Czech as per reception is generally safe but cant guarantee 100% safety since the room we got was on the first floor and there is some sort of ledge outside the window where anyone can just walk past our room so we have to improvise a lock else we either sleep with windows close or it being wide open for anyone.

Very average hotel with less than average breakfast and even worse service. I chose this hotel especially for the amenities (swimming pool and gym) but it’s important to note that neither of these are included in the price, they are extra and act as a “leisure centre” for locals. The front desk staff were very rude telling me that massages cannot be booked with them as they are different company. The pool/massage front desk were super rude and never told us that payment was only by cash, so I went to the hotels reception and asked if I could pay a value by card so he could give me that in cash for me to pay the massage and the tall blonde/ginger man replied very rudely and cutting me off that “it’s a different company”, he didn’t even listen to what I had asked and when I mentioned they only take cash he shrugged his shoulders at me and didn’t offer any other alternative. I UNDERSTAND THE GYM AND POOL ARE OPERATED BY ANOTHER COMPANY, but it’s still inside your hotel and the lack of information and communication affects the reputation of AXA hotel. All these places made us feel like tourists are not welcome there and they only care for locals. Having said that the swimming pool only takes cash, the gym accepts card… how does that make sense? I don’t know, it’s a lack of consistency throughout. Also there are no water fountains at the gym. Breakfast was disappointing with very little options and some of the driest cakes I’ve ever eaten! I regretted choosing this hotel on the first day. Having said all that, the positive notes were cleaning of the room and location. I would not return to this hotel nor recommend to anyone else.

Very satisfied with our 4-day stay at the Hotel AXA. We had a spacious room with a great view of the skyline and all amenities were just fine. Because of the time of year, our room was neither too warm nor too cold. Housekeeping and Breakfast Service were also great. From the hotel’s location it was easy to go exploring, either on foot or by tram.

Getting worse every time, last time they rescheduled breakfast from 7:30 to 8:AM, which was late for my schedule. There were no mats in front of our rooms on rainy days, so you bring all the dirt inside with limited self-cleaning options (TP). Funny was a Security staff member asking me for cigarettes. What upsets me the most is the pool, which is included in the price, is also accessible for public and you will go to an extremely crowded pool

One of the best hotels i’ve stayed at so far… very good service, staff was so kind and helpful, very good location ( tramway and bus directy in front of the hotel) very nice street, close to city centre. Rooms very clean and spacious. I recommend.
