Hotel Ayacara Frutillar Lake District Chile

Wonderful stay in this renovated historic house. Comfortable room and bathroom, good breakfast and parking. Attentive service. The house is across the beach and within easy stroll to restaurants and other landmarks.

We stayed in a room with a view to the lake (the hotel is steps away from the water) . Very clean and spacious and with very comfortable bed . It is evident that the facilities had been recently renovated , with top notch linens and towels . Service was excellent, with personnel showing great care for us having a comfortable stay . Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was abundant and included fresh pastries , bread , fruit , and eggs. Kudos to the administration for restoring this old house , making sure they have personnel with great attention to detail, and making it a great destination for visiting the area .

Even before our arrival, this hotel was stellar. The owner, Margara, helped me secure tickets to Las Semanas Musicales when I was unable to do so online. The home that the hotel occupies has a unique, beautiful location across the street from the beach in Frutillar. It's light-filled entry is so welcoming, and the staff were consistently smiling, helpful and patient with a meagre Spanish-speaker. Public areas and rooms are spacious, with great beds, linens and bath facilities. Breakfasts in the cafe on the lower level of the building were bountiful with delicious pastries. I enthusiastically encourage you to stay here.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Ayacara Hotel. The place is quiet, charming, elegantly decorated and spotless clean. The view on the lake is gorgeous. Breakfast is fresh, complete and delicious. The service is very kind and very helpful. I had a dental emergency on the day of my arrival at the hotel and the managers took care of recommending and booking an emergency appointment at their dentist for me. It saved our whole trip in Chile. I can hardly be more grateful.

My husband and I are so happy we chose Casa Ayacara to stay at in Frutillar, Chile. Margara, Sofia and the rest of the staff couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. The hotel itself is a beautiful, historic establishment and it is roomy, comfortable and super pristine. The location is perfect, and our room had a view of the Osorno volcano and the lake. Frutillar is such a lovely place as well. Thank you to everyone at Casa Ayacara for a wonderful stay!

I stay for a couple of days during the winter (very off season for that zone). The hotel was a friend recommendation. I have no complains at all. The staff was nice and attentive. The room was perfect for me. i stayed at the 'flores amarillas' (meaning yellow flowers) room in the first floor. Nice view of the lake.. thought most of the time... it was raining.||The breakfast included in the price was excellent (as is customary in the south of chile) very good y quality and quantity.||From the hotel to good cafe or restaurants... 3-4 blocks. 10 minute walt at most. ||Word of advice for handicapped passengers... this is not an accessible place. Lots of stairs to enter and to move to the dining room

We had a room on the 1st floor looking over the lake to Volcan Osorno. Absolutely wonderful. We visited very much 'end of season' and the town and hotel were quite quiet, but I'm presuming that explained why it was all so lovely, and yet with great weather and all the facilities you might want? The hotel is very characterful, wooden-built and full of light and atmosphere. Very lovely breakfasts and a charming team in the hotel. I'm not sure when I'll ever get the chance to go back to Frutillar - but if I ever do, there's no question where I would want to stay. My only negative comment would be that the local stray dogs can be a bit noisy at night, so please take some earplugs, but that's obviously not a comment that can directed at the hotel!

We only spent one night here which gave us a chance to orient ourselves to Frutillar Bajo on the shore of Lake Llanquihue. This hotel and its restaurant is only one block away from the world-renowned Teatro de los Lagos. The only problem is that it's not accessible (stairs only) and the old mansion is wood so you hear everyone walking around. Still, we enjoyed a comfortable night. Bedding and amenities was quite fine.
