Hotel "Aziza" Sarajevo

Very good location 7-10 minutes walk from the old town. Only back you will have to walk along a sloping street up the hill. We traveled in a group of 23 people from Latvia with our own cars. The hotel staff was very responsive and helped to park all our cars at the hotel. Very tasty breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. Special thanks for the comfortable pillows. The staff is very friendly, helpful and responsive. We definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Sarajevo. The hotel does not have its own restaurant for dinner, but the staff recommended restaurants in the old town. You can pay by card at the hotel.

We used the hotel service to collect us from the hotel, it's was a little pricey but worked out very well. There was a friendly welcome at the hotel and we were checked in quickly, even though we were early. We were shown to our room on the second floor which was a junior suite and was nice and spacious, with a big comfy bed, plenty of hanging space, good lighting, opening windows, a TV, little table and chairs, fridge, kettle. The bathroom had a big shower and hot water was always available. There were no toiletries provided but when we told reception they were apologetic and gladly provided some.||There are nice views from the hotel which is well situated within a 10 minute very steep walk downhill to the edge of the  old town. The cobbled pavement was a little hard to walk on but we found a street parallel which was easier and took us most of the way down. The way up was steep but okay for anyone who has reasonable fitness.||Breakfast in the hotel was excellent. Each of the four mornings there was a slightly different selection which included cereals, yoghurt, eggs, sausage, cold meats and cheese, a selection of breads, homemade savouries and cakes. We were very happy and staff worked hard to keep it replenished.||My husband enjoyed using the free sauna each day which has to be booked.||The staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. We really recommend this place.

Family hotel where you can rly feel warmth and hospitality of local people! It is not big hotel therefore attention to detailes, cleanliness and cosiness is top notch! Rooms are big, especialy if you pick junior suite, and bed is rly big and comfortable. Also huge bathroom and shower in oriental style decor. The only thing that could be improved is breakfast offer which in my opinion lacks a little bit for a solid 4 star hotel. Also keep in mind that on your way back from town you will have to deal with steep way uphill which can be exhausting after leaving hotel few times per day. Nontheless I would defenitely pick this hotel again.

Our stay at Hotel Aziza was pleasant overall. The reception staff, especially the lady at the front desk, was very kind and went out of her way to help us get to the pharmacy and return safely — truly appreciated her assistance. The hotel staff in general were responsive and quick to attend to our requests.The location is close to the Old City, which makes it convenient for sightseeing. However, it’s situated on a steep hill, so walking up can be quite challenging, especially after a long day.Breakfast was simple and could be improved — the selection was limited, and the fruits were not very fresh.Overall, a comfortable stay with friendly service and a great location for exploring Sarajevo, but be prepared for the uphill walk and modest breakfast.

Our stay at Hotel Aziza in Sarajevo was truly memorable and exceeded our expectations in many ways. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff, who were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and at home, and they were always ready to assist with directions, transport advice, or any requests we had. The room was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Housekeeping standards were clearly high, and returning to a spotless room after a day of exploring the city was always a pleasure. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was just right, and everything we needed for a relaxing stay was provided. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. The selection was impressive, with a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. What we particularly appreciated was that the menu changed daily, so breakfast never felt repetitive. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start each day before heading out to explore Sarajevo. Parking was also convenient, with spaces available right in front of the hotel. While the number of parking spots is limited, we found it manageable and appreciated the ease of access, especially for those traveling by car. The hotel’s location is another major advantage. It is within walking distance to Baščaršija, Sarajevo’s charming old town, making it easy to explore historic sites, shops, and restaurants on foot. However, it’s worth noting that the walk back to the hotel is entirely uphill, which may not be easy for everyone. That said, taxis are plentiful and affordable, and bus options are also readily available, so getting back to the hotel is never a problem. A particularly special aspect of our stay was the hotel’s proximity to a nearby mosque. Hearing the soothing call to prayer five times a day added a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere, especially in the early morning and evening—it was truly a beautiful experience. Additionally, there are supermarkets located nearby, which is very convenient for picking up snacks, drinks, or daily necessities without having to go far. Overall, Hotel Aziza offers an excellent combination of comfort, cleanliness, warm hospitality, and a strategic location. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sarajevo, especially those who appreciate a welcoming atmosphere and easy access to the city’s cultural heart.

Whatever I write, words won't do it justice. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. My husband is disabled, and they certainly went the extra mile for him. The hotel is fantastic. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back.

A hotel with a very interesting and unique love story of Mehmed and Aziza. Each room is special because the numbering follows the years of the family’s most important events - the opening of their bakery, the year they met, their wedding, and the birth of their children and grandchildren. The hotel is located in the old town, the room was clean with a beautiful view of the city, and there was a very pleasant fragrance in the hallways. Breakfast is also included in the price. Thank you for preserving and sharing your history!

The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless and comfortable, and the hotel overall was clean and well maintained. It is in an excellent location, with good breakfast. The old town is about 10-minute downhill walk; the return uphill may be a little tiring for some, but it is a good way to work off the calories from the cevapi meals. A small grocery store is located on the way uphill from the hotel, open until 7:30 p.m., while a larger supermarket can be found further up towards the Yellow Fortress. Just two minutes’ walk downhill towards the old town there is also a pizza shop serving freshly prepared pizzas, which I would highly recommend. One of the great things about the old town, and Sarajevo in general, is the wide availability of halal food – almost every restaurant and eatery caters for this. The only minor drawback was a broken shower handle and bidet shower, which I mentioned to reception but unfortunately was not resolved during our stay. That said, the hotel remains a very nice place to stay, and with attention to such small maintenance issues it has the potential to be excellent.
