We were looking for a dog friendly hotel in Tahoe and Hotel Azure Tahoe was excellent. We (and our dog) were warmly greeting upon checkin. The room was clean and reasonably well equipped. The pool and spa were well maintained and quite enjoyable. The location is excellent with many restaurants within walking distance. The only drawback is that a 3 night stay without housekeeping is a bit long and the bed just ok - the pillows were small. But overall, the hotel was perfect for what we were looking for.

Google
Nice hotel, great location right on the lake and the staff was very nice and helpful but if you're looking for a quiet place this is not it. The restaurant next door hosted a wedding and the music was so loud in our room even with the sliding door closed. It stopped at 10 but we had 2 kids with us and that's too late for them to be up. When we first arrived we were amazed at how the patio door really blocks out the highway noise well but when the music started it was like the DJ was in our room it was so loud.

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights to attend a family funeral. Both rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed. They upgraded the twin queen room reserved for my two daughters. Just below our king room with a lake view for no extra charge. Staff did not bother us the entire time, but was attentive to our requests when needed. Maintenance staff were diligently making repairs on the pool area. The property was in great shape for its age and also very clean. Super nice Fitness Center. Game room had awesome vintage Foosball table and solid full size Air Hockey table free for use. The vintage bowling alley is a must do while there. There are several quality restaurants within walking distance. The beach and lake are accessible literally across the street. Please use the crosswalks at the lights as the street is really Highway 50. Nice quiet place to chill while visiting the south shore.

Had a very good and comfortable stay. Enjoyed the time. Location was perfect across the lake and walkable distance from different stores. Room was big enough and clean and we have lake facing room. Concierge staff was very warm, friendly and very helpful. Made our stay enjoyable. Thank you.

Google
Great hotel with a wonderful view. We were in room 336 and had a great view of Lake Tahoe. You can walk across the street and right down into the lake. It looks like all the rooms, or at least most rooms, have a balcony. If you are traveling with children, there's a nice park within walking distance behind the hotel. A recreation and aquatic center is being built next door to the hotel too. There are 2 great restaurants and a bowling alley within walking distance too, and the hotel gives you discount coupons for both restaurants and the bowling alley. We really enjoyed our stay! Every employee we interacted with was super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us as guests!🙂

Google
Pros: Location!! Right across the street from the lake. Walkable to many restaurants, beach access, activities. They offered free bikes with the room. You can check them out till 10pm. We used them to ride all over town and it was so fun! Pool and hot tub were very nice. There are some great places to eat right next door that offer 15% discount is you are staying here. |Room was very big and clean. Staff was super nice! Tons of parking. ||Cons: the mattress was just dreadful! We were with a big group and everyone complained about the mattresses. They are broken down and probably need to be replaced. I slept on the little couch during my stay. Also the outside could really use some paint. It’s all a bit dated and in need of some TLC. ||Over all nice stay but I need a bed I can sleep in.

Google
Hotel Azure Tahoe did not disappoint. Customer service was outstanding. The room had an amazing view of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains. And the room, itself, was exceptionally clean, which was much appreciated. The location was perfect as it was near everywhere we wanted to go. Many places were in walking distance. We all enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Google
Great location - Lake Tahoe is right across the road, and the hotel is within walking distance from many restaurants and a grocery store, which is great since parking around the lake can be tricky. Awesome 2-level hot tub (top level with jets and the lower one without). Large clean rooms with balconies, most overlooking the lake. Would definitely stay again.

Yelp
The staff here has been nothing but friendly and accommodating to our needs. We had a 18 day stay from Halloween to late November. The hotel is nice and quiet, even though at times you could tell there were more people staying. The facilities are kept nice and clean. The staff is extremely friendly and has great recommendations. They worked with us with our needs and give us an option to have the room cleaned less frequently , which was very nice. You get discounts at multiple businesses/restaurants around the hotel which they will inform you of as well as put some of the information in your key card. Booking.com gave us a great discount. I will also be posting my review on there and TripAdvisor. Please consider staying here, especially long-term for your needs . They were very accommodating for my request to have a first floor room due to an ankle injury . Pets are allowed at this facility for a fee and they were very accommodating as well for that. Please make sure your animal is potty trained. Or you have the appropriate set up as to not damage their carpet. The maintenance man had cleaned out a room next to us from the previous guest and they do a spectacular job. The housekeeping and maintenance people all deserve raises just for their customer service. Fantastic people. If you are a smoker, there is no smoking in the building or near it. We respectfully tried to sit in the parking lot in our car and smoke so it wouldn't bother others.. so consider that as well as they do not have a designated smokers area.

Yelp
Excellent location along the main strip along S Lake Tahoe. Very modern and well maintained rooms with very easily accessible layout - parking is reasonable and included in your room. No breakfast available (but there are plenty of options nearby). Front desk staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Gym and hot tub/pool area is very well maintained and absolutely awesome to relax in after a long day - soaking in the hot tub under the stars is a must! Prices of rooms can vary by a lot depending on the season, the day of the week, and what events may/may not be going on in town. We were able to come up on a weekday and it wasn't nearly as bad - even for Tahoe. Highly recommended and will hopefully be finding our way back here soon.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
This by far is the best place to stay. The energy, the vibe, the view and the comfort you get here. I don't stay any where else. Liz! It seems as though she is working front desk everytime I check in. She is amazing. A breath of fresh air. Liz, you rock

Yelp
We were needing a place to stay for the night as we had just finished our first snow day of the season. We had stayed at Hotel Azure on another occasion years ago and don't remember too much from it which might be a good thing. This time around, it was memorable. In a bad way. L O C A T I O N Hotel Azure is just off of Lake Tahoe Blvd. in South Lake Tahoe. It's pretty much across the lake. There's parking for hotel guests but this year, there were many spots that were a bit flooded because of all the snow. Luckily we found a spot for the night, but it did get packed. S E R V I C E Check-in went smoothly but upon going to our "upgraded" room due to status, the smell....it was definitely the smell of covered up smoke. I unfortunately don't do well with any strong smells as it gives me an immediate headache. Luckily, they were able to give us a different room that was our original un-upgraded room. R O O M The King Great room was fine though it did have a faint smell. Also this room was apparently for the hearing or seeing impaired as there was an alarm in the room which would tick tock supposedly and a light would flicker when the door bell would ring. Now it would be fine if it worked to expectations but the the alarm clock kept tick tocking when someone closed the door too hard. We had to actually unplug it during the night because it was just going off. Other sounds which basically kept us up all night was the heater which was necessary to be turned on as it was super cold and the fridge which buzzed all night. I barely slept. But at least the fridge kept things super cold. The heater needed to be set two degrees higher than what you set as it would stop heating two degrees lower. Towels were the usual bleached smell which a lot of hotels have. There was a microwave which was nice but we didn't use it. We were also next to the pool which was used all evening long but they do have a curfew so it did quiet down. The bed was relatively comfortable. O V E R A L L Not sure if we'd stay here again unless we find a room that didn't make all these noises or next time I'll make sure to bring ear plugs or have a sleeping pill. Staff was nice enough to help out when they could but I think there wasn't any winning with the room we got and I don't think we wanted to change rooms again after asking once already. So it was fine, but I've had better experiences.

Clarissa F.

Yelp
Loved this hotel for the price. The lady at the front desk was soooo sweet and accommodating. We didn't catch her name but she had gages in her ears. The hotel was clean and location was perfect! One of the nights we walked across the street to watch the sunset. We would come back again.

Rachel E.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were looking for a cozy stay during our Tahoe trip this winter. This was not that. The hotel bed was very uncomfortable and the rooms were more depressing than cozy. It was outdated and old. The elevator was a little bit sketchy as well. We were safe and warm but I would not recommend staying here. For the cost per night and amenities it was not worth it.

D D.

Yelp
Too many dogs with owners who don't pick up crap all around property. Our room smelled like poop with cleaning solution plus the dander in carpet left hair and residue on our socks. Hotel is in shabby condition needing a complete remodel. Grounds need weeding. Overpriced room.

Jared Y.

Yelp
This is kind of a disappointing review to write. I've stayed at Hotel Azure a few times now. The first couple were a great experience. The price was great, the rooms were renovated and the staff were super nice and helpful. I'm not sure if ownership has changed or what the case may be, but within about 5 years, the hotel has become a little bit run down. The towels in our rooms had stains on them, as did the bed sheets/comforter. The air vent was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several months, and the AC in the room didn't work at all, forcing us to leave our patio door cracked throughout the night. To expand on that, there was a wire just sitting in our room leading our from one covered outlet and tracking across the room to another covered outlet (nothing like feeling as though Big Brother is watching). The cost was much steeper than the previous two times I stayed here and the stairs in the building feel like they're about a week away from collapsing. I really enjoyed what Hotel Azure had to offer in the past, and if you get the right room you get a pretty beautiful view of the lake across the street. Overall our stay was just fine, but it was clear that the staff/ownership don't care too much anymore about the cleanliness of their rooms, towels, and sheets, and that's a pretty big turn off. When there are dozens of options in South Lake, letting your quality standards drop isn't a recipe for success.

Revant T.

Yelp
The Hotel denied changing the bed sheets when we spent 3 nights and 4 days. They said they would only change it on the 5th day. Even after requesting, they denied it. Also, you gotta keep towels outside the room door for them to replace. That is pretty disgusting to throw them on common floor that's carpeted. The parking lot is infested with swarm of bugs. Good location but poor management.

Theresa H.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel while my home was getting re-carpeted and re-floored. I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are tastefully decorated, good A/C and good water pressure. I also like the location. It's near Safeway and two restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's nice, also, not having to pay resort fees and parking fees. They should open up their event center. If they did, they would probably book lots of overnight bus groups. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
On a recent wedding anniversary trip to South Lake Tahoe, my husband, and I really wanted to bring our dogs with us. Luckily, we managed to find hotel Azure, which was dog-friendly, with a deposit. Most hotels in the Lake Tahoe area have size restrictions, discriminating against larger breeds. Fortunately for us, that was not the case at hotel Azure. I was so happy to be able to take our two great Pyrenees with us. We decided on one of the larger suites to give us and our dogs some more space. The room was clean and had all of the basic necessities. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had good water temperature and water pressure. All in all, if you are looking to travel to South Lake Tahoe with your pets, I would highly recommend staying here. The prices were fair, given the area. Walking distance to the shore as well as several restaurants and an awesome tap house.

Juan Z.

Yelp
Hotel Azure offers great rooms as well as service, the affordability is great for the accommodations they offer. They have a pool and spa gated off of course, aswell as a game room with various games, great for families and for kids. We love how close to the lake it was, and it's walking distance from cvs and Safeway. 10/10 would definitely stay again.

Kelley N.

Yelp
This hotel would not credit my daughter for her stay when she called advising that her vehicle can't make it through the snow storm today. Travel advisories everywhere. Her first trip to Tahoe and this is what this dishonest hotel did to her and her friend. They saved up for a graduation trip to Tahoe and hotel refused to refund or credit her a one night stay. Their reply "It's only snow" Do not go here - shady business practices.

Justin B.

Yelp
I like this place! It's comfortable, the rooms are huge. The hot tub is big. The staff is nice. And the view is nice as well.

carol z.

Yelp
Nice family hotel. All the employees are awesome. Beautiful balcony view of the lake. Azure had bikes we were able to use on the lake's bike trail. Pool was refreshing and fun. Restaurants are a quick walk or bike ride away. We walked across the street to sit on the water front rocks to watch a fantastic 4th of July firework show. The 4th of July parade was directly on the street in front of us. One of our favorite vacations!

Monica C.

Yelp
What a great place to stay in Tahoe! I've stayed at many different hotels in Tahoe, some by casinos, some by the lake, etc. and I would definitely stay here again! We stayed here for two nights. -Good location right by the lake and walking distance to some super good restaurants (pasta and cute coffee shops) that are decently priced! -Even though it's on a busy street with a lot of cars passing by I barely heard the traffic outside and found my room to be very peaceful -It has a really cool rustic/modern themed with a wooden wall I've never seen in any other Tahoe hotel -There's a game room too! -Parking is easy peasy and there's many spots available -Even though our room was on the first floor, I couldn't hear any footsteps whatsoever coming from upstairs -There's select restaurants nearby you can get discounts at if you show them that you're staying at this hotel

Andrew K.

Yelp
Not even close to being worth the cost. Picked a king room with a "lake view" which turned out to be a view of the very busy/loud road, parking lot and the backside of the event center. It looks like the only event being held there is depression. The property is run down with fixtures needing to be replaced or repainted. Room was not clean with a gross red snot looking like stain in the bath tub. Carpet was stained, AC barely runs and doesn't keep the room cool at all during the hot summer days. The bed was so hard I woke up every morning with back aches. The worst of all is the smell. Have you ever used a towel for too long and it gets that gross mildew musty smell? The whole place smelled like that and I would get allergy symptoms over night and would have to leave the balcony door open at night to the sounds of heavy traffic or not breath properly. On top of this we were paying close to 400 dollars a night. Complete rip off.

Orest S.

Yelp
The hotel is close to the beach, Whole Foods and gas station. There's a hot tub, swimming pool, gym and a game room. Bicycles are free of charge. nice and clean rooms, big fridge. The hot tub was closed for a renovation or inspection. So the workers did some noisy and dusty stuff there, so the swimming pool was not available as well.

Michele H.

Yelp
The staff was nice enough but the building was old and smelled in the corridors and elevators. The towels seemed old and there was actually food still stuck on one of them. Our headboard was made of some type of vinyl was old and tore off in many places. The sink area was very small so if your looking for space, there is not much of it. The grounds were not kept up well. Dried up grass and weeds in many areas :( I will not be staying here again and do not recommend.

Michael N.

Yelp
Needed a dog friendly hotel place to stay near the lake. When I checked-in, I was the first customer and only one of the two staff greeted me. The gentleman made the process smooth, but not much of a talker. He didn't explain much about the fitness, pool, breakfast, etc. I believe the pet fee was $25 per night for each pet and parking is free. The room was simple to locate. You swipe your card twice (one to enter the building and other to enter your room). The room was clean and organized. The room included a mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv, etc. For a dog friendly hotel, our stay was peaceful and relaxing. We did not hear any loud barking noise. The lady that checked us out was very friendly and professional compared when we checked-in.

Rose G.

Yelp
This three star hotel was perfect for our stay. It was clean, bed was comfy, and surroundings were really nice! It was right across the street from the lake! We also had a cute little balcony to sit on. Easy check-in and easy check-out. Lots of parking spaces around. I reached out ahead of time to warn that I was bringing my Lilo and they replied super fast saying pets were definitely welcome (for a small fee of $28 per night of course - so don't let that annoy or deter you). And amazingly it's right in the center of town with lots of dog friendly places around (including coffee places and wine places!). It's also only a three minute walk to an amazing spot at Lake Tahoe.  You can see the lake from the parking lot and just need to cross the street to reach it! They also have various discounts if you show your room key to some places around town. The elevator looks a little old, but it works just fine and everything else seemed pretty new. Overall, a really nice stay.

Shannon P.

Yelp
Seems to me like a good photographer took pictures for this hotel. It is definitely not the great place this is made out to be. My husband and I were there for our first wedding anniversary and hugely disappointed. The hotel is not on the beach but across the street from the beach. The hotel lobby, well, there isn't one. There is like a cold office you go into with windows and a tall desk for you to check in. I did not find the people working behind the desk to be very friendly. There is no room service, there is not restaurant or bar with the hotel and your room is not cleaned every day. We spent 4 days there and our room was not cleaned once. I might not be as unhappy if we had been charged less. This place is very overpriced for what you get.

Cristina P.

Yelp
Great place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. Very walkable to shops, restaurants and grocery stores. Easy access to the lake. We had a great time staying here

Michelle R.

Yelp
The best place to stay in South Lake! Check-in was super easy and accommodating and our room was right in front of the pool, which we love. Each room appears to have its own balcony or patio and are plenty spacious. The women at check-in were super nice and friendly and made the whole process seamless. The location is right across from the lake and near many restaurants within walking distance. We had a great experience and will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends.

lina l.

Yelp
It's 9 minutes to Heavenly ski resort. Safeway is right next to the hotel. Lake Tahoe is in front of the hotel. It's a perfect location. Kitchen is practical and convenient for a family. We will definitely come back.

Daniel N.

Yelp
We had an excellent time here. No problems at all. We had a lake view and we thought it was awesome. Looking through the trees into the lake was great for us. Room was just right for all 4 of us. Parking was great, right outside the door. Room was quiet. We didn't even know if there was other people in the hotel with us. Apparently the hotel was pet friendly. We didn't know that. We couldn't even tell walking around the hotel and being in our room. They did a great job with that! Only a couple of things I would say are cons. I just wish that each building had a laundry room in it. Only one out of the two had laundry. You would have to walk in the freezing cold to get to it. The other con was that our AC was not cold enough. If it wasn't cold outside this would've been a big concern. We managed to work around this by leaving the door open to let cool air in just before we went to sleep. Still a 5/5 though as it wasn't such a big deal.

Elizabeth W.

Yelp
It's a ok hotel. I checked in with the lady with the dog and she had loads of attitude when I checked in. If you upgrade to the king room with a lake view it's actually more like an obstructed lake view cause you have trees and a building in the way which is understandable since the view is from the 3rd floor. I asked for a quiet room with no door adjoining to another room. Lady said it wasn't possible so I assume all their rooms have adjoining doors. They put a baby next door to me so heard that cry and scream occasionally. Could also hear my other neighbor clearly through the walls and no matter how loud I turned the tv up I could still hear them since the bed is against the wall. Also, there's a lack of tv channels so nothing to watch if you're up late. The thing I hated the most was the bed!! My partner and I slept horribly! The bed seemed very soft. The pillows were broken down so it felt like it was stuffed with cotton balls. Also the blanket was two flat sheets around the comforter so throughout the night it keeps coming undone abs you'll touch the comforter (which they don't wash after each guest). They should stop cutting corners and just have a cover for the comforter after each guest! Would make the sleep better.

David B.

Yelp
Room itself and hotel was nice upon entering. Unfortunately our room was 76 degrees and the "AC" only blew out non-cold air making the room warmer after turning it on. Hotel maintenance came to our room, immediately turned the heater on, said it's working.... Repeated it's the AC that's the problem so he turned the heater off and proceeded to use a temperature gun and said it's getting colder now... yes because you set the heater to 90 and then turned it off, of course it's cooling down from that. We were provided and fan and left the window open a little for cool air... 7 am rolls around and the sound of workers moving machinery starts in, then just before 8am chainsaws, wood chippers, heavy machinery start in because they are trimming all the trees around the property. Checked out 2 days early, was supposed to be relaxing and just wasn't possible.

Rachel H.

Yelp
While the rooms are very nice looking and clean (and the view of the lake is amazing) we won't be staying here again the next time we're in Tahoe. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin - like so thin it's as if your neighbors are in the same room with you. If you have noisy/inconsiderate neighbors (like we did during our stay) you're completely SOL. The hotel staff also won't enforce their own "no noise past 10:00 pm" rule. The people staying next to us were blaring their TV, having loud conversations, and were allowing their small children to run around their room, screaming and playing, until nearly 2 AM. I called the front desk. They told me that they'd go talk to them. They never did. I was kept up most of the night, while paying hundreds of dollars for the privilege. My thing is, if you have a noise rule, enforce it! It's not fair for paying guests to be kept up all night by rude, selfish people who don't think of anyone but themselves. While, I'm sure there are far less attractive accommodations out there, ultimately this place isn't worth it. Next time we'll be staying somewhere that actually enforces their own rules and cares about the comfort of their guests.

Cat L.

Yelp
Spent a few days with our puppy on a suddenly planned trip. It was absolutely delightful. The staff was wonderful. Our room had a wonderful view and the bathroom looked brand new! Will definitely stay here again. They do not have room service but there were plenty of restaurants around the area and it was really easy to get food. There were three pet areas with bags and bins to walk your dog around. Highly recommend this place if you are traveling with your dog! Hoping to go back there soon!

David N.

Yelp
Severe winter storms today. My young daughter and her friend were headed to Hotel Azure for the night but I wasn't comfortable given the conditions and all the weather warnings about travel. I called the hotel and the front desk clerk said there would be no credit or refund since the roads weren't closed. When I said "there are severe weather warning and the state authorities were advising not to travel unless absolutely necessary" she just said in a bored, dismissive way "it's just snow". This place will never get anyone in my families business ever again.

Richard A.

Yelp
Very impressed with this place. Seen it many times coming up here. Rooms are so nice. Woodsy decor. Very clean feeling. Coming back here again. Booked on Booking .com. No resort fee

Matthew G.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. We were able to get a room last-minute (right before 4th of July!) due to a shady cancellation by our other hotel, and this place turned out to be great! The staff were courteous and professional, and we were given a room with a nice little peek of the lake and mountains from our balcony. Location is good -- you can cross the street and be at the beach of the lake -- and everything was clean and comfortable. We'll probably return!

Monica O.

Yelp
As many other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms here have an awful mold smell. The walls are paper thin and I can hear our neighboring guest sneeze - not kidding. There were people cursing and shouting last night and we couldn't get to bed. We had to call the front desk twice to resolve it. Would not recommend and would not stay again either.

Richa B.

Yelp
Hotel was good and clean overall but carpet needs so serious cleaning. People at the front office were really nice . Great location, everything is at walking distance but once again please clean your carpet otherwise our experience was nice

Leslie R.

Yelp
We booked the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite at dog-friendly Hotel Azure and WOW, it was better than we expected! The size of the room was larger than our first apartment! There's a separate bedroom, full living room, full kitchen, dining area, bathroom with two sinks (one outside the door), a balcony, and an amazing view of the lake. The hotel is also situated in the perfect location across the street from the lake with endless walking paths and the beach, and in walking distance to several restaurants as well. It's also a short drive from Heavenly Village and other sections of the lake. For those bringing dogs, we highly recommend taking them to Kiva Beach. Also, make sure you walk down to the lake to catch the gorgeous sunset each night! It's seriously life-changing. This is such a perfect choice for families traveling with a dog. We were sad to leave and regretted not booking a longer stay!

Patrick L.

Yelp
With upcoming storm in Tahoe, the resort did not give a full refund for cancellation. Kept the one night deposit. Also mentioned that the "storm will not be that big", as they say that the lifts are CLOSED. Shady business practices, would not recommend booking with them.

Yelp
Just spoke to someone just now to inquire about pet policies and the guy I spoke to moments ago was so rude and the tone of his voice was just hateful. Not sure if he's just having a bad day or he just hates his job. And I haven't even spent the night (which will be for the next two nights). Just wanted to know the policy of bringing our dog. I asked him if there are "a must items" to provide like a kennel or or dog enclosure/playpen and his response was "you can bring whatever you want" in a "I don't give a F" tone. I read that they can't be left unattended and I asked him that and he just straight said "absolutely not". I was taken back by his response that I didn't get to ask my follow up question which was if our dog can be placed in a kennel while we are away for a bit?! Because there might be places where we're unable to bring our dog. I chose this hotel because I read the good reviews from ppl and ppl that bring their dogs. I just hope this isn't a sign of things going downhill on this hotel I chose. Trying to stay optimistic. For now this is my review for this business and will update after our stay.

Lori D.

Yelp
This hotel is in a really good location. Our room had the most beautiful view but the busy traffic hindered it. Our room was okay, restroom area was a little tight for three people. I really wished hotels rooms would remove carpets out of hotel rooms, I think it's so gross. The heater was really loud at night time as it would kick in when the temperature dropped. It woke us up each time but at least it worked. The building itself is more on the older side. I want to add here that the house keeping ladies were very friendly and acknowledged us each time we ran across them in the lobby. Thank you for all your hard work ladies!

Jules S.

Yelp
To anyone with a dog wanting to stay here: I booked this hotel on Expedia, because it was a hotel that accepts dogs to stay. Besides the dog fee mentioned on the page, there is no other information. Upon check in, we were told and asked to sign an agreement that any pets are never to be left alone in the room--you must take them with you wherever you go. We were surprised, this hasn't been a rule at any other dog friendly hotels we have stayed at. We were planning on going skiing the next day, tickets which we had bought a month in advance, and now were told by the receptionist "it's not my problem, you'll have to leave them in your car when you ski." Besides just the incredibly rude, arrogant, and overall unpleasant attitude by the female staff member; asking me to keep my dogs alone in the car for 5 hours in 30 degree weather without any empathy was unacceptable. Aside from this, the room was unkept, dirty, and the walls are paper thing; you can hear anything in the room over or outside in the hall. Save your money, save your patience, and look at another hotel in Tahoe! We've stayed at some other amazing places with incredible local staff and service and they will be getting our business next time!

Yelp
We arrived Hotel Azure Tahoe at night a few days ago. While moving stuff from car to hotel room, we didn't realize the sunglass and the case fell off the car. We didn't realize the sunglass was missing until the next day. After coming back at evening, We searched everywhere, didn't find it. Finally, We went to Hotel reception, and YES, They have it! Someone found it in the parking lot and returned it to Hotel lost & found, We got our sunglass back after almost 24 hours. Nice people and safe area!

Yelp
Best Dog friendly hotel & Best solo traveler hotel I have found this trip!!! (we left April 1st). Macy, my beagle, met many new friends from all over the world at @HotelAzureTahoe. Friendly & kind people - as are most dog peeps. Booked into Hotel Azure thru my timeshare - (since #DiamondResorts or #HGV doesn't allow dogs) and I was soooo happy to find Hotel Azure!!! Check in was super friendly and helpful. Overall feel/vibe here is as "Lake Tahoe" Was there for 2 1/2 weeks in a lakefront room - clean, stylish and with a super comfy bed and large room. Location is right across from the lake and the park - easy to walk to the beach. Easy walking to the pub too as well as a wonderful wine tasting shop across the street on the lake! I do not usually gush but I really can not say enough nice about this place! Ashley at the front desk had excellent recommendation from food to nail salon. Was a wonderful time here in South Lake Tahoe!

Yelp
With newly renovated rooms to give the hotel a modern boutique feel. The Azure was a good choice for our quick stay in South Lake Tahoe. The property is located right on the main road that goes through town and steps away from the clear blue water of Tahoe. The lake is across the street from the hotel with an access point to a Rocky shore. Our room had the usual amenities like a TV with Roku, microwave, mini fridge for my beer and a coffee pot. We had a balcony but it was small and cramped because we we're in a room right by the elevator. Amenities on the property included a pool and spa, game room and WiFi. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance. These tend to get busy during peak summer travel periods. Also nearby is a library and thrift store. Overall a nice place to call home away from home.

Yelp
Our family had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was super friendly, accommodating and helpful. The grounds and rooms are kept very clean and we were never without anything we needed. We traveled with our two dogs and this place was the PERFECT pet friendly hotel which made our travels so much easier. You also can't beat the location! We were close to all the wonderful Tahoe sights and also to many shops and tons of great restaurants. If you're on the fence about booking at Hotel Azure, don't hesitate... you won't regret it

Yelp
I was looking for a low key, kid and pet friendly hotel in South shore. Hotel Azure came up across multiple searches. Hotel Azure is located directly across from the lake, and is near a lot of things (library, grocery, casinos, hiking trails, skiing, etc...) Pros: Location, location, location **nearby everything** Friendly and hospitable staff Secure Building Clean, spacious rooms Pet friendly **nominal fee** They have a pool and a fitness/game room Only compliant is that there is no food onsite - breakfast or vending machines. Still giving 5 stars since everything else was great.

Yelp
Hotel allows pet, but you're not allowed to leave your pet unattended at all times, even with a kennel. Room is not clean at all, reeks of dog urine smell. You can literally see the urine stains on the carpet. There is no room service for the 2nd night that I stayed in. (Or I wasn't aware there would not be any room service at all?) Not very pleasant to stay at this location. I would say it feels more like a motel than a hotel. Driveway was not salted, as the snow piled up it can be as bumpy as it can get. For the budget, I would say it's ok but don't expect anything more than a place to crash at.

Yelp
I stayed here in December over a weekend. I would say I had a pleasant stay. The check in was easy and the people at the reception were very friendly and helpful. They have coffee machine along with hot chocolate, perfect for cold weather. The rooms were clean and big. Our room has TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The beds were comfortable. I would give 5 star for the location. Safeway is very near by. 0.5 miles and heavenly village is 2 miles and casinos, shopping center all near by. And it is opposite to the lake, but they have very rooms facing the lake. They also have pool with jacuzzi. Appearance: 4 Location: 5 Comfort: 4

Yelp
What a dump for $300 a night. Super loud old A/C that doesn't work that well. Smelly room. Tiny TV. Smelly hallway. Stained carpet. I don't think they care at all. Don't stay here you'd hate it.

Yelp
After checking out a few hotels in the area, I decided to book at the Azure for one night after traveling up through the Eastern Sierras. The reviews here on Yelp made me a little nervous, but other travel sites were more positive. I arrived into town late, check-in was fast and easy, and got a room with a lake view and small balcony. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was super easy to get up and down to the car to pack and unpack. I learned upon arriving that the hotel is pet-friendly, but I did not notice any weird odors or stains in the room or hallways. The water view was underwhelming the next morning, but if it were warmer, I may have spent more time out on the balcony. I would stay here again and did not have any issues during my stay.
