This review is about the restaurant. Four of us went for dinner there last night. We are staying in a condo near by. First we were told to scan a QR code to see the menu. We read the menu and decided what we would order. Then we asked for the wine list. The waiter brought out three bottles instead of a wine list. We chose one. Stupidly we did not ask the price. Then we went to order food and were told that there were only five things the kitchen could make for us. What!? So why all the song and dance about downloading the menu? We ordered the only thing we found palatable. Tacos. We had looked at the menu online beforehand and saw that the restaurant promised to be all about seafood with an Asian twist. That is what we went for. We did not want yet more tacos. Talk about false advertising! Then came the bill. It was outrageous! Our terrible meal, so so wine and overall bad experience cost 4000 pesos. We felt completely ripped off,

If you’re thinking about getting married here, the answer is YES! My now husband and I got married here and it was the best possible experience. Our friends and family all loved the hotel, views, food, activities, proximity to town, all of it! Our wedding was PERFECT and Gaby is the best coordinator. She was so responsive to everything we needed and always found a way to say yes to making our dreams come true. The value for the cost is truly unmatched - I can’t recommend Hotel B more!!!

Rooms are dated. But the bed was very comfortable! Water pressure was low but shower was nice and warm.|There was construction in the room right above us in the early morning even though we had the feeling the hotel was not fully booked (could have gingen is a different room).|Breakfast was pretty slow and low quantity.||Eduardo gave us the best service. He was very nice and kind. ||Dinner at the b unique restaurant was amazing. We loved it. (We had the tuna)|The pools are nice and the area around it very clean. Easy access to the ocean! (no beach)||About a 30 min walk from the city center/ ferry dock.|Around 100/150 pesos for a cab to the ferry dock

Wonderful property right on the ocean. Enjoyed the infinity pools and hot tub looking over the sea. Appreciated that we could rent snorkels/flippers right from the hotel. Restaurant had a good (included) breakfast each morning, and we ate there one night for dinner as well. Staff was attentive and friendly and communicated very well in English. Rooms were clean and we enjoyed the ocean view from our terrace. ||Location is on the north side of the island, further away from the cruise ships, but only a few miles from the airport (did not hear the planes though). Can walk to the center of town in about 30min (walking path the whole way). No ubers/lyfts on the island, but Taxis are plentiful and Rappi delivers to this area.

Lovely 3 night stay with family. Hotel is located in a great spot, away from the central noise, which was what we wanted. Checking in and pre arrival communication was great. Rooms are basic, but clean with lovely views. The relaxation areas are plentiful, and the hotel has a rustic, unpretentious vibe. The photos are understated, imo, and don’t capture the full atmosphere or scenery. The staff were attentive and looked after us well, thank you. |If you expect 5 star deluxe, you will be disappointed, the food is good, but again, it’s not 5 star luxury. This is more of a boutique experience, imo. |Sea swimming is lovely. We went to relax and scuba….. we would return for both. Thank you.

We loved Hotel B. We are not all inclusive type people. The food was not great but there are plenty of places with fantastic tacos if you venture out. We stayed on the older Hotel B side. Next time I’d stay on the nicer Unique side. Views are amazing. Snorkeling is fantastic. The daily yoga is wonderful. We did not have a problem with the place getting overrun with cruise ship people. They were replacing the deck chairs with better ones while we were there. It is true that it’s hard to find shade when the umbrellas are down due to wind. They were building a new restaurant while we were there. I’d be interested to see how it compares. I really hope to go back!

Google
They are listing queen beds, but they only have doubles. No refunds, no price adjustment, no store credit, no roll out beds, absolutely nothing to accommodate. We had to take turns sleeping. Hot tub is cold, so are the pools. 2 floating decks for adults only and both are always empty. No bike rentals either, although they claim they have it. Be prepared to pay 5 USD per bottle of water if your kid asks for water in the cafe. Too far to walk to town.

The jacuzzi is never warm when the weather is cold. I’ve asked several times for them to heat it, and they have not heated it. There’s nothing to do here in a storm, so it would have been nice to have the jacuzzi. Other than that, some of the staff have been great, but others don’t come to your table, and completely disappear so that getting service becomes difficult. The grounds and view are very nice. The hotel rooms are very basic. Overall this is not worth the price.

Yelp
This place is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at!! I was so pleasantly surprised that you could jump right into the ocean from there dock or hot tub. The rooms were gorgeous the property was big! Two pools two bars amazing lounges and views! Breakfast was included with our stay with fresh pressed juices! Now let me get to the good part... Marco was our number one guy! As soon as we arrived he was all ears and ready to help! He gave us recommendations for dinner local spots and the guy to rent us a scooter. He shared what beach to go to and all the cool spots! Thank you Marco!! Then let's talk about Miguel . He helped my boyfriend plan a surprise engagement. Brought us out a speaker for music , champagne and roses! From what my boyfriend told me he was so caring excited to help and he crushed it! I had no idea. He came over shared sweet words with us and even took photos from a far!! I will always hold Hotel B unique in my memories for one of the best days of my life!! What a fantastic experience.

Yelp
The jacuzzi is always cold on the colder days. The service is terrible. The rooms smell like mold, and aren't worth the price. The pillows are tall, and hard as rock.

Yelp
If you're a Free Thinker, this is the place for you. Lots of colorful sponges & fish to see snorkeling the cliff wall etc. Just know what you're doing, there is some fire coral, as to be expected. Staff is friendly & excellent. Diamela ! David :) Recently opened, 2nd restaurant B Fellows is Great ! Shout out to Ishmael, Johnny & others Lots of good vibes

Yelp
Excellent place to stay in Cozumel. Some of the best snorkeling steps from your room. Crystal clear warm waters with lobsters, rays, eels and other fish. There is no beach to lay out at, but there is a sand area with blankets, pillows, chairs, and sun tents. The hotel has two beautiful infinity pools that overlook the crystal clear waters. The rooms are spacious and the service is great. The hotel has a restaurant/bar inside. Some nights there is live music. Breakfast with my room was included in the price. Fresh fruit, freshly squeezed fruit juice, coffee, artisan bread, eggs, potatoes, and ham/bacon. The mixed drinks are decent and so is the other food. Every morning they had some kind of yoga activity going on outside. The entire place had a chill relaxed meditative vibe. Taxi to town should only be 80 pesos or $5 USD. I would skip the spa. Over priced massages that make you stay partially clothed in a super hot room. Not relaxing at all. Average age of crowd is 25-45 with an international mix of people. There is an all adults side of the hotel with a family side on the other.

Yelp
This is boutique hotel with a fancy and exclusive vibe. The public amenities are very nice, and it's really easy to find a hammock, bed, lounge chair in the shade (we went 4th of July weekend). The beach is not your typical sand beach. You enter the beach in a small rocky cove (not as bad as it sounds and is actually kinda nice), and you can snorkel around the hotel area and they have a floating platform that you can lounge on if you want to chill or sun bathe on the ocean. They have bean bags and a complimentary cooler with soda and beers for guests to enjoy. The current can be strong at times, so it's more of a swimming beach rather than a lounging beach. The rooms are minimalistic design and do the job. Bed are alright. Every unit has a mini split AC so your room will always be nice and cold. Negatives: the waiters and kitchen staff are very slow. Food typically takes 20+ minutes, drinks don't always come cold, the stock of beer and drinks is different every day, and the service staff isn't on top of it, and Food is very average (dishes are hit or miss). The service isn't terrible, but this place has so much potential to be the best hotel on the island but unfortunately the service staff needs to be more efficient and more attentive to guests.

Yelp
We stayed here for four days in November. The only issue I had was that the shower water takes a LONG time to get hot. Everything else was fine. I like the location because it is not in the middle of the city, but close enough to get places. The hotel will get you a taxi, scooter, or car rental that can be delivered there. It costs more than going to town to get one, but if you want the convince, the option is nice. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view and balcony. There are two pools, one for adults only, and a hot tub. The hotel itself is a great place to hang out anytime. You can snorkel there, which is really great. Our breakfast was included daily and so worth it. That was my favorite meal! They have a bar and restaurant. I was not crazy about the lunch/dinner options, but it is there. We were able to charge to our room and pay at checkout. We felt very safe. The staff spoke English and Spanish. Overall, I would stay here again.

Yelp
The two ladies who were working the front desk on May 20, 2022 at around 9-midnight were extremely rude. We had a long day of traveling and we were looking forward to finally get to our hotel room but they made check in so difficult. Nevertheless the stank faces they made at us were always noticeable the entire stay (Friday-Monday). We are not rude people and we spoke perfect Spanish so we have no idea why they treated us the way they did. Few examples: After they finally took our payments (two credit cards) and checked all of our passports, they put a bracelet on our hands. That's it. No explanation. Until I asked if we had to wear these all the time. They said "yes if you want access to your room". So these bracelets were essentially our "keys" but when we got to our rooms (two separate rooms) none of them worked to open our rooms. We didn't notice until we left our rooms because the guy who helped us carry our luggage opened our rooms with something else. This in itself is extremely weird because normally the person who takes you to the room will open it with YOUR key card and then hand it back to you but this wasn't the case. When we told the front desk that our bracelets weren't working they just placed key cards on the table and said those should work now. They had them ready for us as if they knew we were going to have a problem with the original keys. Now throughout the stay, I noticed that the other guests were not wearing a bracelet so what was the whole point of that comment made earlier. It was uncalled for. EXAMPLE 2: The night we arrived, we needed some food and the restaurant in the hotel was closed so we decided to head into town at around 11pm. We asked the front desk if they can help us call a taxi because we didn't have the number. After 30 minutes of waiting and asking again, they finally called them. We waited in the lobby for another 20 minutes and one of the same ladies said "girls the taxi car doesn't come get you inside, you have to wait for them outside". The reason we were waiting inside is because it's an "open hotel" meaning if you're sitting inside the lobby you have a clear and open view of the outside. We had already been standing outside prior to her finally making the call because we thought she already did until we had to ask again. We knew we were going to have to wait a bit longer so we went to sit down since I mentioned we were tired from traveling that entire day. EXAMPLE 3: (this didn't really bother us because we just wanted to leave but it's worth mentioning) When we were checking out, we noticed that the same ladies were handing the guests checking-in cold towels and fresh juices. But all we got was an attitude the entire trip. We just brushed it off but found it funny how their attitudes changed with other people. Overall I don't recommend this hotel because it is far from the town (1 hour walking) but if you don't mind paying a taxi then it's okay. I do have a picture of those ladies mentioned but for privacy reasons I will not post them. I hope this review helps others when making a decision of booking this hotel. For content: there was five girls on this trip, including myself and we are all 20-23 years old. This was a trip for one of my friends who was celebrating her birthday. The pool and view of the ocean was nice, and the breakfast was decent. I'm sure you can find the same amenities at another hotel with better and friendly staff.

Yelp
This hotel is clean comfortable and offers a great experience all around. The spa and pool area are built to enjoy the amazing ocean views, sunset is spectacular, the spa was a great and unique experience. Itzel and Valerie were excellent at their jobs. Thank you Hotel B

Yelp
Really nice place to stay. Great snorkeling, great staff. Food was not consistent. Fish tacos were sunlblime one day and merely ok the next, but overall very great anyway. It seemed like everyone disliked the electronica DJ during the day. I would prefer they kept that kind of pounding repeat beats thing on the edge and maybe only in the evening. Apart from that, wonderful stay and highly recommend.

Lauren E.

Yelp
What a beautiful spot on the planet, one that exceeded our expectations. Between the gorgeous seaside setting, the multiple pools, restaurant, serene environment and gracious staff, we will definitely return. When you go, you must indulge in the Spa treatments. Itzel, the beautiful, wise Spa Manager, is someone we won't forget. Her energy, depth of knowledge, and her intuitive skills when it comes to what is needed, make the whole experience come together in unique, sacred, powerful ways. Thank you Itzel and the whole Hotel B Unique Staff for an incredible time! Lauren & Ber E.

Yelp
Absolutely Stunning! One of the most relaxing hotels I've had the privilege of staying at. As you walk in, you are welcomed with a cool breeze passing through the hotel lobby. We were kindly greeted by concierge who offered a cold face towel and a complimentary healthy juice shot. After check-in, a few steps to the observation deck allows you to gaze into the beautiful turquoise water Cozumel is known for. You also have views of the familial pool, adult pool and the hotel lagoon commonly seen in all the photos. The hotel sits on a edge of the ocean shelf creating calm, clear water. This allows for breathtaking oceans views and access to jet skiing and snorkeling right in front of the hotel. We had a chance to do both and would highly recommend it, both for convenience and price. Check-in / out was a breeze as was orchestrated by us (The Esco Travel Co. - @esco.travel). We had a large group of 20 travelers which was easily accommodated and we were all given ocean view rooms. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and my favorite part was the bed being oriented to face the ocean (king bed). The stay included breakfast and the food was delicious. They had a warm buffet with fresh options but ordering a la carte was also possible. We took advantage of the amazing adult pool (Hotel B Unique side). After a long day you can relax by the pool and enjoy the most beautiful sunset that Cozumel has to offer. As far as the nightlife we were about 5-7 minutes away from the main strip downtown near the ferry which has many restaurants and bars to choose from. Taxis were about $2 USD per person. Overall it was a great experience. The staff at this property are great! They all went above and beyond to handle all requests. A huge shout out to Gabriela who was available from the moment I walked in till my departure. She is amazing and made sure that my stay would be magical and indeed it was. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Hotel B has great service. Everyone is kind and will do anything to make sure you enjoy your vacation. Moises was one of our servers, he made sure the chef accommodated the foods we ordered according to our cravings! Thank you Moises!!

Roark M.

Yelp
The staff is awesome. Super attentive and enough of them on at one time to take care food and drinks and even the most mundane requests. We had a drip from our AC system and within 5 minutes someone was at our room. The pool is awesome The rooms are nice sized for all your luggage and a huge bed overlooking the sea and pool together. I'm coming back!!

Garrett M.

Yelp
Not a party hotel. More like quiet and relaxing. Snorkeling is great too. Lots of fish. We loved it here.

Liz C.

Yelp
Such a great place to BE! We love Hotel B where the staff is eager to support all our needs - the pools, the spa - all wonderful. We LOVE the spa services by Ami, Itzel, Michell- just great. We look forward to coming back again next year!

Yelp
Couldn't have asked for a better solo getaway. Hotel was absolutely beautiful, relaxing, and the service was impeccable. I had an ocean view room on the top level of the B Unique side and the view was breathtaking. There are two properties in one and you can use amenities for both. I loved it so much, I ended up extending my stay for another 3 days. I had to work part of my time there and the Wi-Fi service in the lobby and by the pool area was great. The location is a bit further north on the island, away from the busy crowds near the town center, which I really loved because there was more privacy. Cabs are affordable but I also walked it a few times (30-40 mins) during the day. Vanessa at the front desk was extremely sweet, professional and helpful throughout my stay. If you end going please ask for her. She was lovely! The island of Cozumel itself is gorgeous, very safe (especially for solo female travelers) and doesn't have the busy crowds I've found on the Riviera Maya side. I will definitely be returning and staying at B Unique.

Harris W.

Yelp
Great place to stay, I've heard nothing but good things. However there's a young lady there who I think should get some tacos. Estefania just wanted some tacos but they said they were too expensive for her to have. #tacosforestefania

Tessa H.

Yelp
Cool place to come for the day ($30 and you get 300 pesos to spend on food and drink) until you're leaving and they tell you you owe extra money because the prices they have on the menu aren't the actual prices

Jon S.

Yelp
Hotel B had by far the best amenities and friendliest staff of all the hotels we stayed at on our recent 10 day trip in Mexico. This includes Nomade and Azulik in Tulum. Pools were amazing, room was amazing, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was amazing. We booked Hotel B and were stoked to find upon our arrival that we got access to all the amenities of Hotel B Unique. Water was pristine out front. Will definitely stay here again if ever back in Cozumel.

Violet S.

Yelp
Cool hotel. You can go snorkeling right there and see alot of things! Breakfast was ok. They only had one guy helping all fo the people there. He didnt look like he was in a good mood. Staff was good at the reception. They helped you with tours and if you wanted to rent a scooter. I got the deluxe ocean view and it was awesome! I will be staying there again!!!

leiandra M.

Yelp
Honestly I have never been so mistreated by reception. We have stayed here so many times and loved it. We had a reservation and when we got to the hotel they said "they didn't have that room available and we needed to pay $45 more to upgrade" after a heated conversation nothing happened and we ended up hotelsss at 11pm in Mexico I won't ever stay here again.

J N.

Yelp
This place is lovely. Got a great deal on Expedia, under $100 per night. The photos on the website are accurate, very beautiful view. There's no beach access but you can grab a snorkel inside ($7 for the day) and swim off of their little doc. The service was great, very friendly and helpful and the food was also very good. Free breakfast was included and this was a nice hot meal with fresh fruit & coffee or tea. It wasn't super crowded and it was very relaxing. They have bikes you can check out for two hours as well. Only a few miles from the main strip of shopping and restaurants and a market. There was construction as they are opening an new more modern section next door but it looked like it was almost finished. Not something a hotel will generally warn you about when you book. Would definitely stay there again.

Jane J.

Yelp
I just returned from two weeks at Hotel B. It is eveything i wanted and more. The swimming pool is a dream, the staff is exceptional. I love the location, quiet and not far from town. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant is perfect. I will return next year. and the next.

Sharon K.

Yelp
If your planning a trip to CozumeI would not stay at the Hotel B. First off you will not get to sleepin because they are building right Nextdoor and from 7:30am till 6:00pm all you will hear is a jackhammer and banging all day long, so not very relaxing. Also their beds are awful they sink in the middle about four inches you will wake up every morning with a really bad back ache. Also the air conditioning in our room sucked it made a load racket and every morning you would wake up to a huge puddle on the floor. I wouldn't even rate this a one star expect that the staff was very nice.

C G.

Yelp
I give this hotel a 5 star because it is a beautiful location. The infiniti pool is beautiful. I have stayed here several times and will return this October. All the rooms have ocean view and The snorkeling is fun too. Food and drinks are good. If anyone can answer this, I am looking for the waverunner tour that is there in Cozumel. I see the yellow waverunners but I don't know where to contact them to sign up for the tour. If you have an answer, please email me at info@cginsurance.net. Anyhoo, this hotel is perfect for couples not so much kids as there is not a kids pool.
