In a nutshell, we enjoyed our week long stay at Bad Fallenbach and do not have anything to complain about. Although well signposted, it can be a bit difficult to find the hotel and it is easy to miss it if you arrive in the dark from the direction of Jaufenpass. Do not rely on a satnav and postcode!||||The location is great as a base for outdoor activities and there is a lot to see in the area. If you are keen on road cycling (this area is popular with mountain cyclists), be aware that the road to the hotel and from the hotel (towards San Leonardo) is relatively steep and that there are many hairpin bends from Jaufenpass to the hotel. However, the road is relatively flat from San Leonardo and there are excellent signposted traffic-free bike paths going towards Merano and Bolzano (which are a part of Via Claudia Augusta cycling road).||||Our apartment was well equipped and clean. Breakfast was generally good and fresh, based on local produce and fruit and the manager of the hotel, Mr Luis Mair, is happy to serve it on a large terrace with great views, if the weather is good. Mr Mair is generally very helpful and will advise you on where to go for a good meal, how to go to best mountain peaks (he guides his guests to remote peaks around Jaufenpass area, a few times a week), and where to cycle (he will offer free mountain and e-bikes which are parked in open garage). There is a covered parking space for each apartment. All in all highly recommended.
