Hotel Bahia do Sol

I had an excellent stay at this hotel in Salvador, I stayed here twice in September. When I first arrived in Salvador on the 15 September I stayed for a couple of days brfore going to Rio. The suite I booked on the 9th floor was very large, clean, and tastefully furnished, and the overall atmosphere was very welcoming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful some spoke English, which made things much easier. The reception staff assisted me with a problem I had with my suitcase.|Although the hotel doesn’t provide items like slippers etc , I was expecting that and brought my own, so it wasn’t an issue. For women traveling alone, this is a particularly good choice of hotel as they are very security-conscious. Uber pickups and drop offs are right in front of the entrance, and there are two supermarkets close by if you need anything. When I returned from Rio I booked a couple of days in this hotel, but this time I had a large double room which was very nice. The only problem is that I didnt have a good view from either room. But since I was out most of the time that wasn't an issue. I also tried a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious and reasonably priced, just like the hotel rates themselves. Overall, it was a great base to explore Salvador, and I highly recommend it.

Bathroom small and not very clean. Upon arrival the bedding and towels needed to be changed because they were dirty. Tired rooms in need of renovation. Staff friendly and accommodating. Reception very nice and inviting. Breakfast bit rubbish, bread but no toaster, not allowed to take a coffee out… location and safety of the hotel saved it for us, shame as has a lot of potential but they need to invest in the rooms to modernise it.

This was a wonderful hotel with the sweetest staff across the whole organisation. Check-in was fantastically easy. Although we did not speak Portuguese, the front of staff had a translation system in place, and we were able to take his lead also. The room was not luxurious but provided everything that was needed, it was very good value for money which included breakfast each morning. The breakfast was delicious and all the facilities we needed to attend were a short walk away. The beach was about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Although it was a working holiday, my party felt very rested and looked after, and how we were treated contributed to us having a very enjoyable time.

9tgh floor , low water pressure, the counter was sticky , not clean. Towels' need to update. One elevator for 4 days, services for 9 floors.

The room was small, dingy, with dirty windows. The hallways had a bathroom smell. The pictures are from the bathroom and shower in the room. Good luck betting what they advertise on the pictures. This place gets a 2 star from me only because of the doorman deserves 5 stars. He was super polite and very knowledgeable. He should be the concierge for the place.

Everything was perfect with this hotel. We arrived at midnight to a very warm welcome by the receptionist (I can't remember his name =( ) and from there everything just got better. The room was spacious, with everything needed for (in my case) a short stay. The location is excellent, close to the Lacerda elevator, the Pelhourinho, and many other attractions. Like with many cities in Latin America, one must be careful when walking around, but other than that, I have no complaints. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and it had options for a la carte items. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. I hope to get back to Salvador and to the Fera Palace Hotel soon.

I’ve just spent 5 nights at the Bahia do sol with my mum and my son; we loved it! The staff couldn’t be friendlier, the rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, the buffet breakfast was excellent and varied every day, and it was in an excellent location, right in between the old historical town and the beaches.||||I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know going to Salvador and I’ll stay there again for sure.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel the room was clean room service was nice. I absolutely loved the breakfast option. The staff are polite and on top of all it’s on a really really safe and good neighborhood.
